Gentex Mirror.... Excellent quality and performs as described. Auto dimming, compass and temp all work fine. Install... Thanks to the number of quality youtube videos, anyone with a little skill can install this mirror. Planning the install and looking at the documentation the process went smoothly. Crutchfield Sales and Tech Support... Here's where the story gets better. You could not ask for a more rewarding experience from order to delivery; the people who you talk with are all first class. Tech support was FANTASTIC. They are pleasant, patient and very knowledgeable. They actually answer the phones quickly, listen you your problem and are fully dedicated to helping you solve your issue I have never had such a great experience with a company when buying products.

Go with open box and save the money

Super easy to install if you are any sort of familiar with accessory modifications! My 2015 Tacoma already had power routed up so I just had to tie into the wire, then route the temperature probe wire through the firewall and route it up behind the grill and tie down.

Excellent upgrade - all in one unit

This provides an excellent upgrade to any older vehicle/classic car/truck. I installed this in a 2011 Ranger XLT. So easy to install once you find an ignition wire and a path to the engine compartment - took me about 45 minutes begin to finish. Instructions are excellent and easy to discern.

This mirror is a really nice upgrade from the factory one on my 2008 Mustang GT. Compass is dead on and the temperature is pretty accurate as well. The only reasons for not awarding 5 stars is the instructions are a little vague and they do not include a $10 wire cover in the kit. I had to order it separately.

Received my new Gentex ADVGEN20A from Crutchfield today and installed it in my new Tacoma, the dealer was going to charge me 600 bucks for a after market dimming mirror so instead I installed this mirror myself. Took me about an hour to install it and used a fuse tap for power. The temp was really easy to run through the firewall and is accurate. It was really easy to calibrate the compass just drove in a circle after setting the correct region. I must say this mirror gets nice and dark when cars or trucks are behind me and they dont have to be up close. I drive 40 miles one way to work on the freeway and now the 18 wheeler lights look dim in the mirror. I was a little worried about the mounting but it sled right into place using the factory mount.when installing the temp just plug them into pins 6 and 7 doesn't matter which one goes where in the pins 6 and 7. You can also get a fuse tap and this will allow you to plug into your fuse box directly and they are cheap just google it. I ordered the wire cover online to hide the wires from the mirror to the headliner and it looks professional installed. Thanks Crutchfield for have a great price on this mirror and the fast shipping.
