Overview: The Thinkware TWA-RAD Radar Module is designed to work in conjunction with the Thinkware U1000 Dash Cam (sold separately). The Radar Module allows the dash cam to extend its Parking Surveillance Mode duration by reducing power consumption while still providing protection for the vehicle. If the Radar Module detects an approaching vehicle, it will "wake up" the dash cam to record in the event of an impact. If an impact is detected, the dash cam will record and save 20 seconds of video, 10 seconds before and 10 seconds after the impact. If the Radar Module detects an object, but no impact occurs, the system will resume its Energy Saving Mode 2.0 status.

Mounting&Connection: The TWA-RAD mounts to the inside of the windshield using the attached 3M adhesive backing. An alignment marker on the side of the module lets you aim it correctly out the front. The attached 20" cable terminates in a male 3.5mm jack that plugs into the provided socket on the U1000 Dash Cam.

• Note: Care must be taken to mount the TWA-RAD away from metal parts, including the rearview mirror and any ADAS sensors. These may block the radar signal from detecting motion properly.
• Note: Only vehicle size objects can be detected; passing people or animals will not be.
