This extender is a great find for someone who has a permanent, professional installation. I am speaking as a hobbyist, but I am also a professional; having worked in radio and television broadcasting, as an engineer. This device really does extend 4K@24/50/60hz, HDR10, and 1080p@120hz. It does also extend most surround sound formats, but NOT Dolby Atmos or DTSX. However, the "HDMI Out" port, on the transmitter, WILL pass through these two audio formats to your AV Receiver. (Most others run on 24 volts.) The lower voltage means less heat that is induced, thus meaning slower/lesser breakdown of components and/or device, for better, longer, functionality. Less heat spread to other devices too! This device has a warranty of 3 years. Impressive, for something in this category of consumer electronics! The "DETAILS" page, for this device, on cru

Cons: Not for novice or beginner.
