Good mount, terrible instructions

This is a solid and sturdy mount that fits a wide range of TVs. It includes a variety of spacers and bolts for different TV configurations. The instructions start out fine, but fall very short when it comes to determining wall placement. I followed the instructions exactly and the TV height ended up being way too low. Had to remount using the bracket that bolts to the TV as my guide for height. That made all the difference.

works well. wordless instructions.

absolutely lousy directions for installation. there's a video without narration and pictures without words. is saving money on making the video worth it? I won't be buying any Kanto products again. if everything is perfect, you'll be fine. but if things aren't standard, you're on your own to make adjustments. and of course, there's discrepancies - in the video and the diagram, the washer go in different places at one of the connections. if you're attaching a Kantos sound bar bracket, you have to do that first, though neither directions mention that. and you basically have to lay the tv down on its screen, which they tell you not to do, but I just couldn't make it float in the air like they seem to do in the install videos. Also tilting the screen requires loosening a nut with a wrench, so you can't just pull it out, tilt it and then easily tilt it back flat when you push it back to the wall. we'll keep the little wrench on the bracket.

This bracket is excellent. We used it to hang our 42" TV in the corner of a 12 x 12 room. Good instructions, nice on-line video. Very solidly built. Came with a selection of spacers that came in handy. Was able to hang the TV all by myself.....and my wife does not consider me a good handyman! :)

KANATO, "A Cut Above The Rest"

Excellent mount !!! I mount TV's for a living and so I have seen them all. For the money, you can't get abetter TV mount than a Kanto dollar for dollar. It starts from the professional packaging to the high quality steel it's constructed from. The hardware is also not some cheap screws and bolts that you find with other mounts, they're high quality. If you need a TV mount grab a Kanto, trust ME !!!

Sturdy mount with lots of movement. Good amount of side-to-side adjustments available in placement, so if studs aren't "centered" on the space you are using, TV can still be placed exactly where you want it. Highly recommended.

KantoPDX60 - buy this!

Bought this at Crutchfield's recommendation to fit a TV we were also buying. IT IS SUPERB! The Kanto is easy to mount, has very clear instructions, plus the hardware (bolts, washers, screws, spacers, etc.) anyone could need for nearly any TV or wall. The wall mount extends outward from the wall, and also moves sideways, and has an ample range of tilt (e.g., up to ~30 degrees) for viewing. The bracket says it can hold up to 125 lbs. It was quick and easy to mount the TV bracket on the back of the TV (including appropriate cautions in doing so). Mounting the wall bracket to wall studs was also quick. Because the TV was 55" it then required 2 people to lift the TV to attach it to the wall bracket, and to level and tighten the set-up. But this too was very easy. The wall mount also came with various cable organizers, bolt covers, etc. The Kanto PDX650 is a terrific product! Crutchfield literally had it delivered the day after ordering.

Very Pleased Overall.

Installation was easy in a variety of locations. One was installed on a concrete wall and another was installed on a standard wooden stud wall. The mount performed as advertised with both our 40" and our 65" televisions and provided ranges of motion as indicated definitely making viewing in our large living room and master bedroom much more enjoyable. Definitely recommend.

Not a perfect fit with my 42 inch TV

I can give three stars for sturdiness of product but cannot give five due to the fact that this would not work with my 42 inch Panasonic plasma set, at least not without making a modification. The support arms are not wide enough to line up with the holes in the back of the TV to get the bolts in so I had to drill two holes in order to mount the TV. Really strange that a wall mount that is supposed to hold up to a much larger unit has this design flaw. Template for drilling into studs was very useful, rock solid and my TV is very secure and easy to move to where I want it for viewing while using my elliptical trainer.

Nice TV Wall Mount Bracket

Very high quality TV mounting bracket. I have used Sanus in the past, but this one seems sturdier. Very flexible with a lot of adjustments. Not quite as easy to position as Sanus, as Sanus has a great online tool to help with the measurements. I would buy this again.

Highly recommend

We are so happy we purchased this TV support. The white color blends with the off-white walls making the entire system seem less heavy in the room. Much more dressy than the black supports. It is well designed, allowing us to work with off center wall studs, yet being able to center the TV when it is flat against the wall. We are always adjusting it for different viewing locations, so are happy with the multiple adjustment capability. I highly recommend

Great result, and high quality

This mount exceeded my expectations, which I find an odd thing to say about a TV mount. Let's face it, you're shopping at Crutchfield for your AV or tech gear because you understand there's a difference between what they sell, and the products on the shelves at your local where you also buy towels for the guest bathroom. This mount is no different. I hadn't heard of the Kanto brand before shopping for and buying this mount, but it's the same quality and attention to detail that you're shooting for on the item that it's holding. The materials and packaging that the nuts, bolts and screws are arranged in was very helpful during the set up process. Often times when you're assembling something, the instructions are clunky and not as helpful as they should be, but this was very easy to assemble thanks to the well done instructions. I'd certainly recommend this mount, and others in the Kanto lineup, to friends and family. This model has great swivel and depth-control features so I was able to mount this in my existing built-in cabinet and have the screen perfectly flush with it's surroundings. I really couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Very solid TV mount. Have a 65" that it works very well for, the packaging of all the nuts and bolts was very nice and the installation was straight forward. It has excellent adjustability and range of motion and fluidity of the mount is very nice and feels very fluid. I would not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone.

Excellent Product

The Kanto PDX650 came with all the necessary hardware to mount my LG55" TV. Installation was straight forward and the video on the Crutchfield site is extremely useful, easy to follow, making installation that much easier. Once installed, it was evident that the mount functions turns smoothly and it was easy to adjust the horizontal and forward tilts. In summary, the mount works exactly as advertised, is structurally sound and looks great. I would recommend this full motion mount without hesitation.

Matched this mount with a 65" LG, installation went smoothly, especially with the way Kanto packs and labels all the hardware. It made the installation that much easier! Once mounted, the operation of the articulating mount allowed you to easily manipulate and level the TV. Excellent product!

Outlet is a bummer

I think other brands are more intuitive and simple to setup, but there's no denying that this is very sturdy. Purchased from the outlet open box section. I won't do that again. One of the main screws/welded on nuts was stripped. It took a ton of effort to install and it's not as secure as it should be. I thought this might be an anomaly, but I purchased a 2nd Mount and it came with cracked plastic on the cover plates. Just keep in mind that outlet purchase are not just open box/demos. They are incomplete and broken. Images are from a separate order, but illustrate my outlet purchase warning. Hard to take a picture of a stripped nut.

Mounted a 43" TV in the bedroom. This mount feels like overkill for it but wanted so I can upgrade to a larger size in the future. Easy to install and the provided kit with different size screws worked perfectly for mounting the bracket on the tv. The top holes were shallow and the bottom holes were deeper and it accommodated it very well. Easy to move the TV around and ensure it is level.

Very Sturdy Mount

Very nice mount. It is very well built and is very sturdy. I attached a 55" Samsung Frame TV. The installation directions are not very good, but they are adequate. Kanto has an installation video on its website that helps understand the installation process. Kanto provides lots of different screws to aid properly attaching your TV. Highly recommend this mount.

We used 3 of these on a project we are doing. Really like the way they flat and pull out and turn a long way. They were used in a master bath built in, an office and in a built in in the kitchen. very nice fit for a high end project.

Excelent Material and Build

Excellent construction and quality materials. I feel comfortable hanging my 65" monitor from this puppy. Instructions are a bit sparse and there are a few times when components are shown on an exploded drawing, but with no explanation of those components until a page or two further on. C+ to B- on the instructions.

Solid and Sturdy

Very solid, sturdy, and strong - think it weighs more than the TV. Can easily move TV to whatever angle desired (comes out away from the wall, moves left/right, tilts left/right, and tilts up/down - does not move up/down). Comes with plenty of extra bolts and spacers of various sizes to ensure a match to a variety of TVs. Bolts are neatly packed in a carton to show which size is which. Installation video is helpful. Recommend using pilot holes to find exact center of studs - stud finder gets you close but given the size of the supplied lag screws you have to be sure you are on center.

Fairly simple to install. They provided a bunch of different size screws and spacers and it was fairly easy to find one that fit my tv. Need a second person to hold the bracket in place while screwing in lag bolts and to hang tv, otherwise simple to do. Took me about 30 minutes start to finish.

Excellent , easy instructions. Had some.issues centering on wall and had to use toggle bolts in some because of builder. My bother in law liked them.so.much he some. I had purchased 3. Side note builder misplaced electric outlet which we cant completely close but very happy with. I will be working on that outlet at a later date.

Seriously heavy duty

I am impressed with the quality of the wall mount brackets, tilt/swivel mechanism, and hardware. This sucker is very well built and heavy! I used it to mount a 55" TV, which might have been overkill. Minor complaints are "picture book" instructions with very little text, along with 6mm washers that don't have a big enough O.D. (in my opinion). The unit still gets 5-stars because of its construction. The photo shows the washers that come with the unit, and washers I used instead for more gripping surface.

Awesome product. Very well built. Took a little bit to hang. Best with two people. Tv is not going anywhere. Love that it is totally adjustable: tilt up,down, side to side. Lots of support locations for support in wall studs.

Great mount, and has a fantastic range of motion. One minor complaint--one of the metal pieces shipped with a significant bend (it appears this happened at the factory, since the packaging showed no signs of damage, and nothing else in the box was damaged). Fortunately, with enough force I was able to bend it back enough so that it doesn't materially affect the mounting of the TV.

Great Quality, easy to mount

I purchased the Kanto PDX650 to hang a Sony 75" TV (that I also purchased from Crutchfield) on the wall. I chose the Kanto model because its the same exact model I purchased a few years ago to hang another TV on a brick wall. I was pleased with the quality then and I'm pleased with the quality now. Its very eary to mount and super easy to hang a large TV on the bracket after the bracket is mounted to the wall. All mounting hardware is included in the package and organised very nicely not just thrown loosely in a plastic bag. I would buy again.

Love this wall mount. Have a 65" Smasung and purchased this to hang on a plaster wall. The wall mount is easy to install and very sturdy. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design. We purchased a SANUS wall mount from COSTCO for the smaller 42" TV in my bedroom and there is no comparison. We are returning that one and ordering another of the Kanto PDX650 from Crutchfield.

The produce is well thought out from the packaging, the instructions, the design and materials of construction. I have a 65" Samsung Q80R mounted on it and it is solid as a rock. I feel like this is a good value purchase that will last as long as the TV at least.

Well made, works perfectly. One thing to keep in mind is that the power outlet or any other wiring coming out of the wall, such as cable or Cat 5, cannot be located anywhere within the rectangle formed by the wall mounting plate.

This is a sturdy mounting bracket with a nice finish. Attachment to the TV is solid and hanging the TV on the bracket is an easy 2-person job. As others have written, the supplied mounting hardware is beautifully packaged and absolute junk. The screws are poorly formed and I would not trust them to safety support a large TV. Do yourself a favor - trash the hardware and buy something of good quality. You'll sleep better at night.
