Wife approved ??

I wanted to upgrade from a sound bar to a nice pair of stereo speakers for better music separation. The reviews on these speakers were great. I ordered these and put them in my den along with a pair of Kanto speaker stands. They sound amazing but the wife did not like the look of the black mat finish and the gray speaker stands so I changed out the stands to something more custom looking and with a nice contact paper finish I am now able to move these back up into the den. Happy wife...Happy life ??????

Look great, sound great!

I can't call myself an audiophile, but I know what I like when I hear it. If I had a quibble it would be that vocals seem a little flat, but most of what I listen to is electronic and these deliver for that genre. The looks are amazing (white) and the connection options are outstanding. I had trouble trying to get other devices to connect wirelessly with my setup but these are rock solid.

Great volume and clarity. Easy set-up and solid build.

I purchased these as an all-in-one solution for my living room TV and turn table needs. Packaging was excellent, and the unboxing experience was pleasant. Set-up is very easy, and everything is included to get you going. I paired mine with a Audioengine S8 subwoofer and installed them on Kanto SP26 stands. Everything works together very nicely. My turntable is a Fluance RT81 elite, and I am feeding to the Kanto Ren via RCA cables and using the Fluance's built in Phono Preamp. These speakers have great clarity throughout their entire volume range: I think having a subwoofer really helps with this though. HDMI arc and Bluetooth also work great for me. I was also pleasantly surprised with how nice the remote is. It is sized and weighted well, and offers all the necessary settings. I'm usually not a fan of "sound modes", but I do appreciate the three that come on the Ren. The speakers look awesome, and are extremely solid. I haven't experienced any "loose" sounding parts. The magnetic speaker grills offer nice protection, and are easily removed. I'm not an expert or an audiophile. I was just looking for an easy and tidy speaker set for my living room. These speakers far exceeded my expectations. They are far better than any soundbar/sub combo I've ever had. My only complaint would be the manual is really terrible. However, a better manual can be found right on Crutchfield's website. Crutchfield was awesome as always.

Ren

I purchased and received these speakers in late January. They handle RCA inputs from my turntable, the bluetooth is easy to connect, and the interface with the TV is excellent. It is an aesthetically superior option to a soundbar and from what I can tell has a better interface for my needs and better sound quality at the price point. There is opportunity for a sub hookup, but I prefer to not bother the downstairs neighbors in that way, and find the stock bass is adequate for my 13x12 living room. I liked that I could connect all the desired inputs to the powered speakers directly without need for a receiver. I turn the tv on with the tv remote, the speakers power up and the volume control syncs with the tv remote volume inputs. The Design of these is very pleasing on the eye, simple and modern. I wanted to wait a few months to review them as there is not a ton of info on the internet due to them being a newer product. I have been very happy with these so far. I use them daily for music or television and would recommend them.
