Excellent stands!
V from Hoffman Estates, IL on 6/23/2025
I did my share of research before buying and these delivered everything I expected. Well made, sturdy and provided a nice bass boost and, believe it or not, better bass extension! Heavy metal is the way to go people...and I'm not talking about the music genre!

Surprisingly sturdy stands that hit way above the mark of the reasonable price. Be prepared for when they arrive as the box weighs in at a hefty 48lbs. for the 22in. and is triple boxed from Crutchfield. Each base plate weighs 13lbs each! They also are well thought out with two top plates provided to fit a variety of speakers. Highly recommended.

Sturdy Stands
David from Montrose, CO on 4/17/2025
My second set of Kantos. Easy to put together and the feet work well with my carpet. The bottom plate is pretty heavy, but they have a bag that you can fill with sand and drop into the hollow leg. I opted for some lead shot and it's really sturdy.

Great value, well designed
Fred from PLOVER, WI on 4/13/2025
The Kanto speaker stands are a great value. Well conceived and well executed-from the feet, to the cable tunnel, to the top plate options (two sizes, mounting holes, padding), these stands are well made and easy to assemble. They are hefty and sturdy, even without filling the columns with sand. The color was specified as black, but is more of a very dark gray. This was not an issue for me.

Perfect Stands

By far the best stands I have ever bought. Worth every penny. The weight and small details such as adjusting the spikes from the top is amazing. Great quality for a good price!
Pros: Everything

Perfect Stands
Dave from Rockford, MI on 1/19/2025
If you are looking for stands, these will certainly take care of your needs. Most stands are 24 or 36 inches tall. I did not want them too tall for my space and 22 inches is perfect for my B&W speakers. Easy to put together and much heavier than I expected. These would be very hard to knock over! Great quality product.

Sturdy, Stable, Stunning and Labrador proof!
Ed from Roswell, GA on 1/13/2025
The design, fit and finish of the Kanto SX22 speaker stands are top notch. Even the packing and boxing is exceptional. I was wanting a stand robust enough to withstand the happy swipe of an 80lb Labrador's rear end / wagging tail and these do the job. The feet are elegant in design and are quite adaptable. My room layout has laminate flooring with runner carpets. My placement needed to have the front feet spiked into the carpet, with the rear feet spikes resting on the included discs for the hard floor. These worked perfectly for my uneven flooring situation. My Focal Arias 905's have threaded inserts on the bottom. I added a 3/8" thick wood riser to the bottom of the speakers, bolting into the threaded inserts. I then screwed up into that riser with wood screws, securing to the Kanto top plate. I painted the heads of the zinc wood screws white to match the stands. A happy Lab will not tip the stands over, nor swipe a speaker off its stand. On their own the stands are plenty heavy, but I filled the support column about half way up with play box sand (choose a bag at the home center with no signs of moisture in the package). I used a pool noodle cut to length to take up the rest of the space inside the column to keep the sandbag from shifting inside the column. I now have stands that are nice and heavy, with a low center of gravity for awesome stability. Crutchfield went the extra mile for customer support, confirming these are 22" high w/ the feet installed.

Great stands with fantastic build quality
David from Portland, ME on 12/18/2024
These are great stands. Well designed, extremely solid and well built, well packaged, and about half the price of some similar competing stands (I'm looking at you, KEF). Fillable with sand or buckshot, removable feet for both carpet and floor, multiple vibration dampening pads and two different size mounting plates for different size speakers. This is basically everything you want in a stand.
Pros: Well built Extremely solid Fillable with sand or ballast Vibration pads Half the price of some alternatives
Cons: Mounting plate holes do not 100% line up with all speakers (such as KEF R3 metas, and need to be enlarged slightly)

Good looking indestructible speaker stand.
Christopher Ray from TACOMA, WA on 10/7/2024
These stands are amazing, they are much heavier than any stand I have ever purchased before. These stands are indestructible. I have had many stands made of press board that just do not stand up to use. These stands are as good looking as they are strong. Highly recommend them.

Kanto stands rock!
Jerome from Overland Park, KS on 7/18/2024
Wow. These bad-boys are impressive. First off, the packaging was OVER THE TOP. I think there were 3 outer boxes, then multiple boxes inside. The steel plates for the bottom of the stands could seriously double as armor for a military vehicle. Once assembled, the stands look very high-end. My white SVS Ultras look amazing on these stands. Build quality is exceptional. My only complaint is this: if you have wood floors, and you're using the padded discs, lining up the spikes and the discs is a 2-person job. Other than that, I'm completely floored by the quality and look of these stands. Well done Kanto!

IMO almost perfect
Neal from CHADDS FORD, PA on 1/6/2024
I love these but I think Kanto missed an opportunity. Kanto gives you access to the spikes from the top of bottom plate of the stands. This is great if you could use an allen wrench to pull the spike into the holder, slide the speaker across the carpet and then screw the spike down through the housing back into the carpet. I have a iffy back and I prefer sliding to lifting any day. The problem is they did not do that. They left 3/32" of the spike holder unthreaded so if you did try to do what I described you could only unscrew the spike partially making sliding impossible. Regardless of how much you unscrew the spike from above it will always engage the carpet, again, about 3/32". This so odd, I imagine there is intellectual property out there prohibiting this.
Pros: Heavey , sturdy, fillable with wire runs
Cons: Missed the boat on flexibility for spike adjustment

Kanto stands
Scott from Makawao, HI on 12/28/2023
Solid as a rock, these ones have some weight to them. My only complaint is I put them on hard wood floors and the little discs won't slide to maneuver them without falling off. Once they are set in place they're staying, so maybe a good feature for most people
Pros: Weight, solid construction, easy assembly, great
Cons: Maneuverability if you want to slide or adjust position of speaker/stand combo

Superb
Justin from CHARLESTON, SC on 12/27/2023
These stands are as solid as possible, especially at this price. Kanto produces very high-value items. The included discs for the floor spikes will help for those with hard flooring. Also, the filler bags are a nice touch if you feel you may need extra stability. Sadly, they proved to be a bit too short for my setup.
Pros: Solid build, included accessories

Good option for KEF R3 Meta
Daniel from Oakwood, GA on 10/28/2023
The SX22s are very well-made. The base is nicely weighted, hardware is good quality, and vibration damping elements are clever. Packaging is thoughtful and easy to deal with. Assembly is straightforward. I bought these for KEF R3 Metas but also used them with a different set of speakers. The large top plates are nearly perfect for the R3 Meta: Drill out two of the holes and they align with one set of threaded holes in the R3 bottom. The opposite holes will be slightly too far, so if you want all four mounting points, a cut to expand the remaining holes will be needed. The neoprene pads are very nice; the column is insulated from the base with a plastic piece, and the feet are very nice. Threaded spike inserts are doubly insulated from the base, and the feet for smooth floors include a rubber piece on the bottom. It makes the speakers tricky to move because they stay where they are set: I think it is a good feature. IsoAcoustic Gaias might improve isolation, but they will add height-and these stands are nearly exactly 22" with feet attached. For me, that is important. After using them a while, I used the included plastic bags to fill each leg with sand and can tell a slight improvement in bass response. The bags are yet another nice touch. Similar stands that use multiple column pieces create possible misalignment and more mechanical complexity. One column means fewer issues and better mechanical integrity. Better stands can be had but not
Pros: Packaging, weight, mechanical integrity, isolation aids, adaptability, options for multiple speakers and uses.
Cons: Threaded inserts might be a little short for thick carpet.

Built like a tank...
Michael from Fresno, CA on 8/11/2023
Well built....heavy base. And can add sand to make them heavier if you like. Come in two heights...ordered the 22" because they will sit in a nook that is already 9" tall. Easy to assemble....clear instructions. The only con....not real keen on the grey flange between the column and the base (should be white). But, over-all....nice stands.
Pros: Heavy....
Cons: Flange is grey instead of white...

Kanto SX22
Lee from Danielsville, GA on 11/4/2022
I think 22" is the perfect height for the KEF R3's because the HF speaker is high in the box. A taller stand puts the tweeter above my listening position. The stands are sturdy and easily weighted for additional stability.

Very solid, cable management works well. The plastic gasket at the plinth makes it look cheap for this price, the color is a little odd.
Pros: Solid, easily fillable. Good cable management.
Cons: Color, plastic parts.

Great stand
Mike from HARTLAND, WI on 5/12/2022
Excellent stands that are supporting a pair of kef r3's without issue. Once again Crutchfield customer support is simply stellar.
Pros: Heavy and well built.
Cons: Holes in speaker plate not large enough to accommodate 1/4" mounting hardware without drilling.

You can have it equally balance plus it gives you space in a chamber to add more weight to the stand for more sturdiness you can also run the speaker wire inside. it too. Solid construction.
Pros: Very well made can hold up to 80 pounds easily.
Cons: None

Quality product
Crutchfield customer from Albuquerque, NM on 4/11/2022
These stands are very solid and well made. Surprisingly hefty and robust. Using these for a pair of RSL G5s. Placed on wood floors, so employed the discs and level that are included. Worked fantastic. These look unassuming and wont draw too much attention. Good combo. Double packed for shipping and just comes across as a quality product when assembling. The only con I can come up with is kinda lazy, but can't just slide the stands on the discs. You have to lift and set instead of slide them around when speaker placement is still being considered. Again, not really a con.
