Midcentury marvel
Brian from Peoria, IL on 5/7/2023
Paired these with a classic Harman Kardon 430 receiver. Sound is great, tight and controlled, everything I was hoping for. Look great in my midcentury ranch. Sounds great with everything I've played on it. Had experience with a few other brands of speaker (orb, Boston acoustics, magnepan, pioneer). Best of all the ones I have personally had.
Pros: Size vs performance, audio clarity
Cons: None yet

Great rich, analog sound
Joshua from Sisters, OR on 3/15/2023
I feel every review should be in consideration of the price-point. At their price-point, these Threes are really good! I'm running them with a WiiM Pro streaming to a Peachtree Nova 150 amp/dac. These speakers put out a thick, full sound that is very detailed and musical. This might not make sense, but they sound quite "analog" versus some nice KEFs I have. Build quality and stylish are terrific, too!
Pros: Build Styling Rich sound

Knob is Off
Frank from Savannah, GA on 2/9/2023
3 stars for build quality....Designed & Engineered in IN - **made in China**. Seems that for $750 each, I would expect the silly L-M-H knob in the back to "line-up with the letters". However, they're a good 1/2 inch off. A small detail that I find irritating none-the-less. To me this says there is little quality control on that assembly line to miss something so basic.
Pros: Heavy
Cons: Questionable manufacturing quality-control

KLH Model Three
Jeffrey from Indianapolis, IN on 12/26/2022
I just began using these speakers they sound great out of the box but I'm sure they need some break in time. The finish is excellent and the stands are perfect. The look and sound is very retro perfect for me.

WOW!!! Thus far these have far exceeded my expectations. Looking forward to listening and enjoying them for years to come. Thank You!!!
Pros: Sound amazing right out of the box. Can't wait to hear and enjoy them when they are broken in. Finish and craftsmanship is excellent. Supplying the stand is a wonderful addition and I hope other speaker manufacturers will take notice and follow suit. Thank You
Cons: At this point in time, none.

KLH Model Three
Evan from Astoria, NY on 12/5/2022
Love the fit & finish, feels solid, compared versus Monitor Audio silver 100s & B&W pair. Acoustic suspension design is legit, plays well close to back walls (a restriction of my room). Excellent range and good dynamics. Would recommend more than 50 watts RMS for this.

Very Nice
Jeff from Sparks, NV on 10/11/2022
So these replaced a pair of JBL 4312A Studio Monitors, can't even remember when purchased, suffice it to say they needed replacing after kids etc. I went back and forth over the 5's and 3's. My living room is not that large with tile so I went with the 3's. Very happy, they sound very good no matter what music I play from old classic to rap, and classical. Would highly recommend and other reviews mention bass response these things pound. I was also shocked by packaging Crutchfield had them packaged extremely well. Now just waiting for the break in period to see if they keep getting better. Don't hesitate buy !!

Buy this speaker
Marcus Q. from DADE CITY, FL on 9/25/2022
There are many outstanding speakers in the price range of this one and there are so many variables in choosing the correct speaker for the room intended. This speaker met the price and specifications of my small listening room. It is non-ported, which means it is easily to place. The fit and finish are of a very high quality, built like a fine, Swiss watch. The sound is very satisfying and significantly better than my older SVS Ultra bookshelf speakers that they're replacing (but still keeping). The larger drivers (eight inch) do a great job of filling my room with the sound I demand. They push a lot of air, especially when appropriately powered. For a small to medium listening room, these speakers will be very difficult to beat. For a larger room, you may want to choose something different and spend some more money. With Crutchfield, if these speakers don't meet your expectations, they will take them back, and with civil dialog.
Pros: Easy placement because it is not ported.
Cons: None

Great speakers
Steven from Anaheim, CA on 9/25/2022
Only had these speakers for a short time but they sound great. Very reminiscent of speakers I had back in the day. They have a warmth to them but retain great detail and clarity. Bass is also very good in my smaller space. Was considering the Model 5 as well as the Warfedale Lintons but felt they would be too big for my room.

Hi-Fi Sound with Vintage Vibe
Kenneth from Lexington, KY on 9/20/2022
Unboxed a few weeks ago, listening 2 to 4 hours per day (total time 40 hours +/-). Set up: Music Hall Classic turntable with Audio-Technica AT-VM95SH cartridge, Marantz NR 1200 (using Pure Direct) and upgraded RCA cords. 12 x 16 foot hardwood room with large shag rug. Set up distance/angle based on KLH speaker recommendation from manual. Ok, fun part! Looks-fantastic, they have this unbelievable vintage vibe. Sound-clean, crisp, broad and honest . I've been trying to build a budget quality hi-fi system for a couple years and I think I'm coming close. These speakers were going to be the budget killer, until they showed up on "open box." That made my choice so much easier, thanks Crutchfield for this wonderful option! That said, having them now, I would be happy to pay full price. They are that special!
Pros: Sweet sound and sharp looks.
Cons: Not a con, but understand they are acoustic suspension speakers. If you are looking for heavy bass, these might not be right for you.

Great for smaller spaces
Blaise from Morgan Hill, CA on 7/17/2022
Been listening to these nearly non-stop since taking delivery 5 days ago. These sound great right out of the box. I was little concerned these might be overwhelming since my space is relatively small (11` x 11`, carpeted), plus a few reviews picked the Model 5 over these - but in larger spaces. I'm driving these with a Marantz PM7000N with a lower end Polk subwoofer and also a vintage Marantz 2030 receiver. With the older Marantz, the low end/midrange is sublime. With the new Marantz, overall frequency response is articulate, airy, and tight. Sound stage and separation are excellent (see Andrew Robinson's review from April 2022 on his YouTube channel for more technical description). All genres sound excellent (FWIW I don't listen to lot of bass-heavy music, but Lizzo's recent album sounds tight, not overwhelming) . Build quality is top-notch and the included stands are formidable. One word that keeps coming to mind is "chewy". Can't wait for them to completely break in. These replaced KEF Q150s and are a definite step up (maybe two steps!). KLH Model Threes definitely recall the warm speakers of the 1970s without compromising higher frequencies.
Pros: High quality build Good value for money Great sound from the get-go
Cons: Look to the Model Five for larger spaces or add a subwoofer
