Great CD Player For The Price
Dan from Augusta, GA on 7/2/2025
I am very pleased with the CD11 MKII. It is a great buy for the money and uses the same DAC as the higher priced Rotel CD players. It brought new life to my large CD collection (1800)! I highly recommend this unit.

Nice design aesthetically and logically
Joseph from Hudson, OH on 6/29/2025
Received less than a week ago, but like the design and buttons are logically arranged. My son is autistic and already has learned how to use it. Sounds great and less affected by vibrations than my previous 20 year old Technics which I also enjoyed.

Exceptional, detailed with deep bass.
Skye from Santa Fe, NM on 5/19/2025
Quality of sounds is good and very articular, bass is strong, intricate detail and leads. I think the LCD screen is a little dated looking, but the DAC is spectacular. Easy to connect and setup. I like it has an eject button on the remote, as some don't. Still getting used to, but so far so good.

Excellent Sound....but!
Robert from CLEMENTON, NJ on 4/23/2025
Replaced my 16 year old Rotel RCD-1072 cd player. RIP. As expected, the over-all sound quality of the CD11 MKII is excellent. Extremely clear with an expanded sound-stage. Good imaging. Clean simple design. Tray/drawer operation is smooth and quiet. Display is basic but easy to read. Typical Rotel.....except for the remote! Absolutely one of the worst remotes I have ever used. Buttons are small and close. Direct track access for tracks 10 and above is a challenge. Programming tracks is cumbersome. Considering that many of the CD11's functions need to be performed on the remote, a little more thought could have been put into its design. Looks like Rotel outsourced the remote to Mattel. (The CD14 MKII uses the same remote). My sales rep was Bo. One of Crutchfield's best!
Pros: Sound quality Build / finish Quiet operation
Cons: Remote is terrible Warranty only 2 years

Rotel CD11MKII
Michael from Portland, OR on 2/20/2025
Solid chassis, transport & well spec'd components. Nice remote. It has everything I was shopping for except balanced XLR outs, which I still prefer. But, I couldn't justify spending nearly double on their more flagship model to obtain the balanced outs - given everything else was nearly identical.
Pros: Great DAC, transport & lazer for the $
Cons: No balanced xlr outs

Athanasios from West Des Moines, IA on 7/8/2024
Excellent CD Player at this price range. Strongly built with a smooth and quiet mechanism and very effective DAC. Electrical separation of digital and analog components work well to reduce noise. The music depth and detail is practically of analog quality within the sensitivity of the human ear.

Very Good CD Player
Joseph from Allentown, PA on 6/13/2024
I bought this CD player to replace a 10 year old Yamaha CD-S300. It still worked but was looking to update some components in my 2ch system. I first ordered the Arcam CD5. I was not impressed with the build or sound. I returned it. I received the Rotel after a short wait as it was backordered. The first thing I noticed was how solid and heavy it is. Very impressed with the sound quality. Only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the buttons on the remote are microscopic.
Pros: Build quality, Sound
Cons: Small buttons on remote.

try a CD transport and DAC instead
Howard from Ojai, CA on 3/10/2024
I give it one star because it has really fine sound. However, it would stop playing in the middle of a track every few days, and finally stopped reading discs a few weeks later. Apparently integrated CD players have some quality issues. But I had hoped the new MKii would have solved any problems. I also contacted Crutchfield tech support, and then downloaded a Rotel firmware update as they suggested. But the player conked out anyway. So I took another route, and replaced this Rotel (and a Marantz 6006 which also had stopped reading discs) with a Leak CDT and ifi Neo iDSD DAC. Instead of getting a CD player which has to both read discs and convert them to analog, I got two components which split those chores. So far I'm pleased -- everything sounds good and is performing well.

Rotel CD11MKII
Mark from Austin, MN on 2/22/2024
Component works great. I had really hoped to connect the power supply to the matching Rotel amplifier with the small cord included. I wish they still had the plugged and unplugged inputs on the back of the amp like they used to on older components. There must be a reason why they have migrated to these small cords and it sure looks like a slick system but I absolutely cannot get the cords to work and, consequently, I am unable to "pair" the cd player to power up and down when I turn on the amplifier. I find that terribly frustrating with brand new components from a manufacturer with the reputation of Rotel. I contacted. Crutchfield and spoke with a pleasant support service member. They could not provide any help to resolve this matter. It appears I may just have to live with this inconvenience. I have tried to find a contact phone number for Rotel support and have not had any luck yet. So, I don't like the fact that I am unable to pair the power supply of the cd player to the power supply of the amp, but it sure seems like I have to accept that operational inconvenience on brand new, seemingly compatible components from the same manufacturer.
Pros: Audio performance is wonderful.
Cons: Unable to connect the cd player to couple the power up function with the same series Rotel integrated amplifier.

Rotel CD11MKII
Guest from TROY, MI on 1/5/2024
I recently added the Rotel CD 11 MK 11 to my classic Marantz 2245, KLH Model 3 and Dual 429 system. I have an old collection of cds I wanted to have the ability to play again. All I wanted was a simple single high quality cd player. The set up was as easy as plug and play. The unit is extremely well built, the tray is quick and quiet. But best of all is the sound it's virtually identical to the same recording on vinyl. If you're looking for a no frills high quality cd player look no further than the Rotel cd11 MK11

Stunning!
Mara from DUNLAP, TN on 8/30/2023
Anyone would believe they are listening to a $1500 cd player. I have no idea how Rotel can offer this unit at this price. If you need a very fine internal dac and are willing to skip XLR, this is a perfect choice. Outstanding quality and performance.
Pros: Great engineering. Brings out the best in my cds.
Cons: None
