Alpine 8" sub into Tesla Model 3 - SQ improved
Jason from Fpo, AP on 1/27/2025
2022 Tesla Model 3
This subwoofer brought the low end of my Tesla system under control. The OEM sub was loud but boomy and sloppy. The Alpine is not as loud, but the bass is tight, controlled, and musical. It is definitely worth the upgrade in terms of sound quality.
Pros: Controlled bass
Cons: Needs 3rd party adapter for the OEM Tesla sub-box.

A great choice!
Curtis from FOREST HILL, MD on 8/28/2024
Put 2 10" in a smallish (2.2) ported box and was really surprised at how good they sound. And we are only pushing them with an alpine 600 watts at 2ohm. I feel like we achieved the maximum efficiency with our set up.
Pros: Shallow depth. Output. Looks. Sound quality.
Cons: There are none. I'm not sure what else you could want from a sub in this price range.

More punchy and improve the system sound
Khoalety from Ann Arbor, MI on 4/14/2024
2022 Tesla Model Y
I wasn't sure if the built-in amplifier for Tesla Model Y can handle this subwoofer. Crutchfield staff confirmed the amp has 150W RMS dedicated for the 8" subwoofer. I'm glad I replaced with this subwoofer. The bass is stronger, tighter. Overall the system sounds has improved. Now I don't have the urge to replace the front door and dash speakers at the moment. I will give my friends with Tesla a demo. Maybe I will replace for them soon too. :)
Pros: Stronger bass
Cons: None

Decent Sub , Not for a Rear Deck.
Charles from Glendale, CA on 4/11/2024
I had a trusted installer mount this on a 2015 Lexus ES350 rear deck. It was a match but even with the low rms, Kicker CXA400.1T and the Audio Control LC2i, it was bad. Even at low volume and Dynamat layering, it rattled my rear deck window and mount. I returned the unit and upgraded to the the Kicker TRTP122, kept the Audio Control LC2i and swapped the amp to the Kicker CXA800.1T and on day 2. So far so good. I'm eating the wiring cost and wish I was advised to go straight to a sub in the trunk versus a rear deck replacement.
Pros: Can't judge due to the placement but normally alpine subs are good.
Cons: Do not mount on a rear deck.
