PAC RPK4-CH4101 Dash and Wiring Kit

This kit was very easy and simple to install. I am a Neanderthal when it comes to wiring, so I paid the additional fee to have Crutchfield wire everything for me ahead of time and that was money well spent. This kit is great, nice customization of the screen, climate controls look good, the buttons are nice and solid. It looks factory. Installing my Alpine double din radio in the truck was made much easier because of this kit.

Backup cam and radio don't work after install. Called helpline and chose to "get in line and receive a call back" no call back and no answer on the helpline.

Great stuff

Dash kit worked awesome for my 13 ram that had a 8.4 uconnect. Not a fan of the screen but everything else worked perfectly and continues to. Retains everything but the factory microphone

This is the worst GARBAGE you can waste your money on. I went thru 3 different units (replaced by Crutchfield) and ended up replacing it with an idatalink/maestro kit which works perfectly with my truck. Purchased this along with an Alpine Halo9 ILX 511 to replace the original U connect unit. PAC kit is cumbersome, difficult to install, required wires soldered, additional chime/speaker for factory park assist, adapters, OMG!!!! Even after installed it doesn't work as intended. Steering wheel controls are finicky/ don't always work. LCD display went out randomly,HVAC controls didn't always work. and the list goes on. OEM amp popped every time I started the truck, had to add a relay and still would do it. I replaced this trash with the maestro kit from idatalink. One module flashed and programmed from my phone via bluetooth, two harnesses and everything works FLAWLESSLY from the moment I turned the ignition on after the install. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PAC RPK garbage!!! They don't work.

Good set up

I am not an expert by any means. So, this and my radio took several calls to get everything straightened out. The only issue I had was that I have a 2013 RAM and the interface needed two upgrades to the software. It was frustrating, but it's all set up and works great

Great while it worked

I have 2 stars only because I loved the set up while it was working. After about a year, the HVAC controls stopped working. I was able to disconnect the battery and it started working fine for another year or so. After the second year, the HVAC controls stopped working again, but this time I was unable to get it working again. I loved the system while it was working, but the price is a lot of money to get only 2 years out of it. Additionally, the manufacturer was supposed to have provided an adapter so that the USB and aux ports in the console would work, but after more than 2 years, still no word on that

Wonderful product

Replaced my stock 2018 Ram 2500 radio. This face plate kit made it a piece of cake. Retained practically everything but the compass and clock feed into my instrument cluster, but they do tell you that before you start. Obviously not a show stopper! Fit and function are superb. I can still get at the vehicle settings menu if I want to change the door chime or what doors unlock when I press my unlock button my key fob. And while I do have hard keys for my dual climate, it is also nice to have the LCD screen for that and other fun things like camera access or even vehicle gauges. For the money, its not cheap. But with a new Alpine radio and amp plus this PAC package, it was about 60% the price of a new OEM replacement radio. So its really quite a great deal when you add it all up considering what you retain and how good it looks. I am definitely satisfied with my purchase.

Great product!

I have a 2013 dodge Ram 1500 with factory alpine system. Made it super easy to replace my aging 8.4 inch uconnect system and the music now sound syper crisp. Not too difficult to replace for your average DIYer. I did have an issue with my dual zone hvac controls not working but after contacting crutchfield tech support they quickly sent me an update that resolved my issue fast. Love my new set up thanks crutchfield!

Easy installation on 2014 ram replacing the factory 8.4 screen. I used the alpine ilx w650 and had plenty of room for all the wires in the back without having to cut any brackets/mounts. All steering wheel controls were retained

Fast, Easy, and Effective

So far so good! I received my RPK4-CH4101 quickly (2 days) and the package was in great condition. Very easy to install and all buttons and factory settings remained. The instructions were a bit ambiguous, however, after a few videos from Youtube and re-reading the instructions multiple times I was able to figure it out. Great options as far as screen set up, and looks great in the truck, almost identical to the factory setup. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to upgrade their sound systems in the Ram Truck lineup.
