Campground Goldilocks

Installed in a travel trailer RV ceiling, paired with the RF T152 coaxial speakers. Existing sub and speakers were subpar to say the least. Chose the RF M1D2-8 because of weight, price and lower power handling as I didn't want to go extreme inside the camper. I also wanted a sub that would perform without the need for an enclosure. I was planning to run a small external amp, but after connecting to the cheap HU with a built in sub channel with 24watts rms, this thing puts out what I was missing. It puts out enough that I need to add some deadening and tighten some stuff up to stop the rattling. Nothing crazy, I just don't want to hear anything rattling. It's amazing how good this sounds on so little wattage. And before some people think that I don't know what enough bass is, I have several car setups with the lowest one hitting 144dB sealed, on the dash, with a TermPro. I've also sat in a truck that hit 168dB on a 30 second average. This isn't close to any of that, but most people at a campground aren't going to want to hear me jam, but if you want to have a few beers and enjoy some good music, this should do it for you.

Pros: Price, weight, efficiency and infinite baffle capability

Cons:

Squeeze a 10" in!

Not a fan of 8" subs and I purchased due to space constraints. Very disappointed with the results and ended up replacing two 8" with a single 10". Not blaming the speaker but it just doesn't suit me.

Pros: Size

Cons: Not deep enough sound

Great compact subwoofer.

So far this sub has been perfect. My boat had very few places to mount a sub and this worked perfectly. I have not hooked up the LED lighting yet, so I cannot speak to that feature, although it looks pretty straight forward.

Pros: Great for tight spaces.

Cons: None

Got this for my 21 foot bow rider and it thumps like only a Rockford Fosgate does. Nice little 8 inch sub for the price.
