I combined this with a fosgate r2 500x1 and the only complaint I have is I should've worked harder on securing the inside of my vehicle the bass makes everything rattle it's glorious highly recommend

These subs are absolutely golden. I owned 2 12" Fosgates before, but they didn't hit like these do. These are VERY punchy, and can get extremeeely loud. I have them hooked up to a 1500 wat amp, and I only keep the bass level at about half. If I want the bass level to be any higher and remain balanced and clean, I'll have to upgrade the rest of the speakers in my car first (which I intend to do anyway, yay!). This is my first time owning a ported box, and I don't think I would go back to unported after my experience with these subs. Be warned, the enclosure is pretty big. I have these in the back of an SUV and it still takes up quite a lot of space. Soon I'll be snagging some new speakers and tweeters by Fosgate to pair with these bad boys

Excellent box. Well-built, and the carpet is perfect. The subs hit really hard on 500 watts. Much louder than the 10" subs they replaced. The box is big. Not overly large, but it definitely takes up some room in my car's trunk. My only complaint, which isn't about this box but about all ported boxes, is that while loud and powerful at a frequencies between 40 and 80 hertz, you miss out on the deepest notes. My 10" subs were in a sealed box, and while not as loud or powerful, they were much more suited to a wider range of music. I may buy a sealed box and swap the subs over.
Pros: Well-built. Solid. Loud. Powerful.
Cons: A little large for a mid-sized sedan.

I got this with an R500X1D for a reference of the power being put into them , the quality is honestly something you would expect from early Rockford products. The packaging alone was outstanding. After 1 day of "breaking them in" i needed to find all the rattling points in my car because these guys hit so hard. After getting everything sorted out, i have to say for the price this is the best dual 12" with a box you can buy. Thank you Crutchfield and Rockford Fosgate for reigniting the flame of the audiophile in me.

First off let me start with this product is EXCELLENT!! When I got it, it came installed together nothing to screw in or put together so that was a plus! But the build quality is very sturdy considering I got into a wreck and someone hit me in the back of my car and subs are perfectly fine and still work like they did before! The price for what you pay is pretty much a steal in my book! It has great quality sound I have my volume on 10 and it still thumps pretty loud! It overall is a great product!
Pros: Nice deep bass Excellent lows Very loud even turned down low Bass knob comes in handy when cop pulls up Very sturdy box They can push massive amounts of bass for long period of time and barely get warm! And box is heavy so doesn't need to be strapped down tightly it doesn't move when in the trunk

These subs are awesome they sound great and the quality of the box and sub woofers looked great. Easy connection with nice push terminals have them connected to a 500 watt rms alpine mrp 500 they match the the subs rating of 500 watts rms both subs combined and my subs are hitting really hard and have quality sounding base thank you Crutchfield for the awesome deal and fast three day shipping. these subs are worth the purchase .

Great Sub's, people are always saying great things about them. But one draw back is that the port design. Could have been much smaller or put in a different place on the box. This thing barely fits my trunk and i drive a 1997 Acura Integra LS sedan.
Pros: Great Sound on all music from Bluegrass, to Rap.
Cons: Way too big of a box.

I love these so simple to set up! Beat part i got a huge Rockford fosgate box my son loves! They may not be p3s or power subs but with the right setup these subs sound like two 15". Well thats what i get asked. I just with they came with the mesh grille other then that the extra $289 to have it shipped in 2 day's was worth it!
