After my 15 minute initial phone call to purchase this item I received and it did not look right. Spent over 45 minutes with 3 other reps including a supervisor. No help. They did not care. Returning.

Cons: Does not fit in a 1995 ford Mustang Twitter replacement in the top of the door. The speakers have no holes or tie in parts for modification.

Sound better than a cheap transistor radio

2024 Nissan Kicks
Replacement for factory speakers that sounded like a cheap transistor radio. The Rockfords are better than that and they are inexpensive, but they wont be your favorite speakers. They have a tinny sound, even for tweeters. The "bracket" I had to fabricate was nothing more than a piece of plumbing strap - easy peasy. Installed in a Nissan Kicks that has noticable road noise. Time would be well spent trying to muffle the road noise so I can hear better! These speakers are an improvement over factory speakers, but that is as far as I can go. If you can afford more $ for better sound, go for it.

Great Tweeters

For my application these were the tweeters I chose. East to install. I did have to fabricate my door panels to accommodate them but owning a Dremmel unit it was easy. I ended up using the removed wiring harness and soldered these in + to + - to - . The total combined sound experience is awesome .
Pros: For my application, these were the tweeters I chose. Very well made, built in bass blocker/capacitor, plenty of lead to reach. Easy to incorporate to a door panels.
Cons: Might have to fabricate for install which any DIYer has the knowledge and now how to accomplish.

Excellent! Beyond pleased. Super defined, clear without distortion, even from a cheap boss head unit. Perfectly matched my 3 way Rockford Fosgate R165x3 6.5" 3 way speakers which are in the same model series as this pair of tweeters. The volume matching is perfect when wired directly to the front speaker wiring. If you do not have tweeters up above, it is paramount for the soundstage and also clarity. Nice to not have sound blocked by legs as well. It brings the sound in front of you and does not localize at the legs and beneath you anymore.

I bought these late last May 2024 and they sound good and I was happy with them but they didn't last. My 69 VW bug is a weekend car that doesn't get driven very much due to the heat in Las Vegas and no AC. I just barely started driving it and now the tweeters are popping and blown. Not sure I had enough power to them considering what they are supposed to be able too handle. I'm running a Rockford Fosgate 400@4 and it's set to high frequency and turned down and the tweeters are also connected with 5X7

2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Speakers are nice and really bring out the highs compared to my stock Wrangler speakers. The wire harnesses needed to be modified as did the speakers as the wiring for the speakers is not removeable so I had to cut both, splice and solder. The plastic mounting adapters also had to be modified as they were too large for the Wrangles locations both front dash and roll bar.

These sound great. Installed in a 2021 Equinox dash. I used a Dremel bit to cut out the hole in the adapter. Don't let the low sensitivity rating discourage you. They're definitely loud enough. I actually had to turn the treble down! Huge improvement over factory speakers.

I installed this set of tweeters to replace the factory dash speakers in a 2016 Nissan Frontier SV with a factory head unit. I used a set of Metra 82-7403 speaker mounting brackets to get them in the dashboard and the tweeters fit well with modifications - you'll need to do some cutting and drilling to get them to fit just right but they worked flawlessly. I took the old wiring harnesses off of the removed speakers and installed them on the new speakers, which made installation a breeze. In terms of sound, I lost a little of the midrange sounds out of the dash compared to the original speakers but the clarity and sonic balance of these Rockford Fosgates more than made up for it - they sound great. If you're looking to just upgrade the sound in the Frontier without breaking the bank and you don't want to spend the money on a new head unit, I'd say this is the place to start.

Better than dead OEM Tweets!

I own a 2007 Nissan Titan, whose OEM speakers have finally had enough of playing music and are dying slowly one at a time. Trying to listen to Metallica, Godsmack, Linkin Park, Kenney Chesney, or Luke Combs with speakers that don't work has a detrimental affect on me and my passengers as I spend almost a quarter of a day in my truck. After months of this nonsense,I had had enough of this lack of musical input and replaced the original tweeters and the center speak a set of Rock Fos R1T-Ss. What can a I say, they sound pretty good, helluvalot better than broken speakres, I'm talking a 100% improvement over the dead OEM tweets at a fair price, from what online research I did. I wasn't too concerned with frequency range, ohms and wattage, as broken don't work and anything is better than that. As you can tell by now, I wasn't too concerned with speaker make and quality, just a well priced replacement over dead OEM speakers. Lastly, they look alot better than the crappy OEM speakers, gawd those speakers look horrible, not an ounce of coolnss in them at all....
Pros: They work and are faily cheap in my humble opinion and they are Rock Fos speakers.

I really, really like these tweeters! I'm not an audiophile by any means, but I appreciate a good sounding audio set up and I finally have one. Fosgate tweeters that bring out the highs, Kickers front and rear attached to a CAR8000 head unit. No sub (yet) but the sound over stock of course is fantastic!
Pros: Easy to install in my Ridgeline. Sound is great and blends well when dialed in with equalizer.

Put these in a 2020 Mustang. The stock tweeters were 8 ohm! Was worried that these would be too screeching, but they are not. I am only giving four stars because I think RF wired them up wrong from the factory. The manual says that the black wire with red stripe is positive, but the end connectors lead you to believe the opposite. Kali checked for me and I went with wire color vs. connector size. Did not use the connectors anyway. These actually fit snug where OEM equip. was. Used hot glue at the tabs and silicone for the rest. The A pillar removal and install is a PAIN; especially putting them back into place. Nice little speaker though for the price and no finding a home for a crossover.

First off, Crutchfield is awesome and I'll buy all my car stereo products here. I really wanted to love these tweeters from my 2022 Subaru Forester Premium, after listening to these compared with the factory tweeters ..... the factory tweeter sounded better to me. I have have my wife, my son, and my friend listen to both, and they all said (at separate times) that the factory tweeters sounded more full and rich. So .... I'm going to sent them back. I would like something better than the factory speakers, but its not these. As far as installation, the mounting plates the came with had to have a large hole drilled in them which was kind of a pain, but otherwise they were super easy to install.

Cons: Wire harness connectors was not usable. Had to purchase new connectors from Lowe's. Could not find a hole saw that would fit the diameter of the tweeter for an exact fit. The fastener (friction fit) to hold the tweeter should be replaced with a more robust fastener.

Buyer beware these are just for highs. If you're replacing factory component speakers understand these Rockfords will only give you the highs unlike some own components will give you highs and midrange. However the high with these sound pretty good

2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
This is my third pair of these little tweeters and I can't say enough about them. I had a 2008 Dodge Durango and had RF two-ways in the doors (front and rear) and I added on a set of these tweeters to the front and read headliner for additional highs and better listening quality. I've since passed that vehicle on to my oldest son, when I bought my 2015 Silverado. The Chevy comes stock with either 2.75" or 3" paper cones in the dash corners and they sounded alright but they were more of a full-range speaker. They had a factory capacitor attached so they weren't receiving low frequencies but they took everything mids and higher, but it also felt like they were blasting you in the face. I used the offered additional mounting plates for the dash, cut an exact-sized opening in the middle of the mounting plate and popped a tweeter in each plate. Perfect fit. Wired my own bass blockers in place and now I have a softer but more targeted listening experience.
Pros: Cost effective, great sound, easy to mount and work with, excellent power handling.
Cons: JL Audio has a slightly better mounting solution with a single bolt and nut on the rear of the speaker housing that allows you attach an included bracket-- but as long as you cut the mounting opening to the exact size you need, it stays snug enough to stay put through normal everyday driving and use.

Over the course of the past couple years I've been updating the system in my 4X4. Pioneer stereo, MTX speakers all from Crutchfield. The final install was the replacement of the factory tweeters with these little guys in the windshield pillars. What a difference! All those little, hidden details are now front and center. My system is now complete, all thanks to Crutchfield. Cheers

2019 Nissan Rogue Sport
These speakers really open up the highs that the old stock tweeters did not. Had to use a cutting tool to make the speakers fit, had to splice into the existing wires with butt splices and it did the trick. I added Infinity speakers into the doors (which I also got at Crutchfield) with these Rockfords and it rounds out the music nicely. I would recommend these .

Installed the speakers up in the corners of the dash along the windshield. The sound is harsh. The hi-hats are piercing and certain songs with distortion (Soon by My Bloody Valentine in particular) sounds grating. I even tried putting paper towel pieces over the tweeter so muffle the sound a little. I installed these along with some other RF 2-way speakers. It may have thrown the balance off toward the high end. I can't control the volume to the tweeters alone to balance the sound because the stereo is low end. Guess I will have to upgrade that next...

Excellent tweeter - louder than stock, had to turn the treble down. Very clear cymbals and good high frequency response. Fit in my 2014 Ford Fiesta sedan required the use of adhesive sponge tape to secure the tweeters in the tweeter receptacles. Solid secure fit. Would definitely recommend these tweeters, they are a few steps above the OEM tweeters. Thank you Crutchfield!

Bought these to replace some Alpine dash tweeters since I was pulling all the amps and subs to install a car seat. Overall these speakers sound great since I matched them to the head units lower rms output. Wish i could have thrown an amp on these because they are crystal clear and sound great on the factory unit so i can only imagine how they sound with a little more power!

These tweeters sound great and are basically easy to install, however I didn't see in the instructions how to remove the speaker from the flush mount in order to install it in and use the surface mount. I found a video which said to twist the top and the bottom part of the mount in opposite directions and they will come apart, easy and a great design.

I finally upgraded my tired sounding F150 stock speakers to Rockford Fosgate from Crutchfield and I wish I would have done it years ago. I knew there were tweeters in the truck but they never really stood out or were even noticed. These Rockford tweeters along with the Rockford 6 x 9 2-ways have opened up an audio sound stage that is amazing. I was going to just install the Rockford 3-way speakers in the doors but I'm glad I went with separate tweeters aimed at ear level. I decided not to reinstall the tweeters behind the factory grills, but instead surface mounted them facing the occupants which gives me the ability to adjust the speakers if needed. Now, I definitely know I have tweeters!

Barely audible in location suggested by Crutchfield. Crutchfield said the rear door of my GX470 had tweeters, turns out they were midrange. When plugging in to test the tweeters in this location they could barely be heard.Luckily I had ordered midrange for the dash and installed them in this location. The tweeters were from scratch and dent, now I see/hear why they were returned.

Just another way to make an Installation

I have a 2003 Toyota Camry with a JBL OEM setup. These were to replace the dried and cracked corner dash units. I did a little McGyver move to make them work. I first removed the original units and tried to figure out the best way to mount these. The solution that I came up with was to cut the original OEM speaker frame that holds the magnet and connector bridge as close to the magnets that I could. I removed the paper/fabric portion of OEM speaker and cleaned all the surfaces and bent the pieces of the metal frame that held the magnet in a little. The Rear Eyeball portion of the R1T-S speaker fits perfectly into the bent frame and there is just enough contact area around the edge of the metal frame and R1T-S so that you can use whatever type of glue you want to secure the speaker. I used "JB Weld". After it set up, the installation was a breeze. Just cut the wires and use the wire connection kit you get and everything looks original. Good Luck.

Not a good match for my 2016 Mustang Convertible

Bought these for my 2016 Mustang convertible because they got great reviews & were inexpensive. I'm using the factory head unit with the Alpine power amp/subwoofer combo made specifically for the 2015 - 2020 Mustang. Anyway, I found them much too loud. They overpowered the 2 6.5" front alpines & the 2 6.5" Kickers in the back. I had too hook up a first a 4.7 ohm resistor to try to tame them down, but still not enough. Ended up using a 10 ohm resistor (had to hook it up between the cap & speaker terminal, which was a difficult task itself). With the 10 ohm, the output is balanced with the main speakers, but the overall highs aren't as crisp as the should be. They sound kind of "midrangey", but maybe that's due to having to use the 10 ohm resistor to cut the volume. I have "older ears" & don't like a lot of midrange. I usually EQ my music with extended bass, extended treble but cut back the mids. They may sound fine in other cars with different head units, but in my case, they weren't the greatest match for my car & my ears. I'm going to try the kicker 46CST204's because I love the way the tweeters sound in my rear Kicker 6.5". One other note: All the tweeters show "surface mount only" for the 2015-2020 Mustangs, but if you are at all handy with a "dremel" type tool, I learned from youtube you can cut out the factory tweeter from the two pillar pieces, carefully trim the opening & most aftermarket tweeters will drop right in with a little glue.

Cons: Too much midrange & not enough crisp highs. You're on your own as there is no help from Crutchfield in the way of mounting instructions. I had to spend a lot of time doing online/youtube research as to how to remove the mustang convertible pillars & putting these things in !!

Good replacement for '10 Toyota Tacoma tweeters in the doors, much fuller vocal sound than stock.
Pros: Speakers pivot so they can be angled toward the listener. Comes with additional housings for alternate mounting options.
Cons: Odd wiring connection as passenger side was (a logical) black-to-black and red-to-red connection, whereas the driver side was a black-to-red and red-to-black connection. After some additional troubleshooting on the driver side, works fine.

2009 Honda Accord
I'll preface this review in saying that I've never installed/replaced tweeters before, nor have I found the (OEM) tweeters in almost any vehicle to be worthwhile. WOW, these tweeters have changed that opinion! They are a little bit of a pain to install, but it seems all of them are. They fit into the factory "sail" in the front doors and I wedged them into the OEM position with some foam. They sound great and help with imaging a lot. They absolutely blow any factory tweeters out of the water, and now the highs in music are both noticeable and enjoyable. There are no doubt better tweeters out there, but I have to say that I'm impressed.

These tweeters are loud and smooth not overpowering like others. Sound great powered off factory head unit and fit perfectly in the dash corners if a 2014 Toyota Tundra with the brackets that are included for free from Crutchfield.

I purchased these for my 2015 ford explorer with the 9 speaker (non sony) system. I can now hear things in my music that I couldn't hear before. The instructions crutchfield provided were great. Bonus, this model tweeter was able to snap into the existing housing in the door panel, no modding necessary.
Pros: this model snaps into place after you take the tweeter out of its mount in the box. connection was a breeze as I purchased the butt connectors

Overall sound is great. The only problem was the install. I had to drill holes into the door sails to connect the angled tweeter adaptor. They stick out of door now, but only way to securely connect.

Not really a versatile mounting cup like they state.I had to use Q600 adhesive to glue it to my existing tweeter mount on my 03 WRX.Other then that they sound really good paired to Kenwood door speakers and a factory head unit.Had to get creative to mount these.I know the compatability said they wouldn't fit but hey it was a challenege I managed to complete.

2000 Mazda Miata
Perfect fit and great sound in a 2000 Miata, but there was no adapter supplied and should have been as I had to cut the old adaptor off and solder to the new speaker. Upgraded the Bose System by removing the amp and using standard 4 ohm speakers.

This particular product does in fact fit into the Jeep Grand Cherokee 2016 model. Crutchfield states that the speaker do not fit, mount only, however with minor modification, they fit perfectly. The speaker also sound great based off what I needed to have the right sound inside my vehicle. Much better than the stock tweeters.

2009 Honda Fit Sport
I already reviewed the prime 6 1/2's I put in my doors, and I'll say the same about these tweets. I simply am amazed at how good they are. My Honda fit has no available adapters for the dash tweets, but I simply took a dremel to the factory housing and the tweeter housing from R.F. fit right in with some rtv silicone gasket to hold it together. These actually come with a shallow mount and taller angled housing that you can choose from, something that I didn't see on the site here, but that's typical R.F. quality.
Pros: Clear, bright, clean. great mounting options, built in high pass filter.

Replaced the stock tweeters in my 2013 Honda Ridgeline. These fit in the factory mounting bracket, just hot glued around the tweeter to hold it in place. The sound is a nice upgrade from the factory tweeters, well worth the effort. The wiring colors are below. These sound awesome paired with my Pioneer AVH-X8500BHS. I installed them in the stock location in my second gen Xterra, you need the Metra 72-7400 harness, not the 72-7401. Huge improvement over the stock sound, I can finally hear my music clearly without having to blast the system.
Pros: Sound, Clarity, Lack of distortion.
Cons: The mesh grill isn't removable and they don't come with a pre-built mount to install them.

1999 Chevrolet Tahoe
Love Love Love Rockford Fosgate! Never had an issue with any of their products. These were no exception. I replaced the factory tweeters in the factory location (arm rest) of my 1998 Chevy Tahoe. Typically, a fair amount of modification is required, especially since most tweeter are now 1" or 2" rather than 3/4" factory. These were the easiest to date! Popped the factory out, lightly dremeled the outer edge of the tweeter hole, ran a light coat of adhesive around it and pressed the housing in. Done! Sounds great! Highs are crisp and clear! Now, for the rears and door mids!
Pros: Great price Sounds awesome Many different mounts included, options!
Cons: No Rockford Fosgate stickers anymore!

Installed these in a 2007 F150 Supercrew FX2. My truck did not come from the factory with the upgraded stereo system. When removing the speaker grill on the door, you'll find that even though there were no tweeters present from the factory, there is a cutout in the door where they go. So I was able to install these Rockford Fosgates in the factory location and hide them behind the grill. I did not amplify these, but instead opted to run them straight from the radio's power. It was a good decision, as these little speakers are loud - and since they are producing the extreme high-end of the music, they can get "tinny" in sound, particularly at loud volumes. The speakers themselves appear to be well made and come with three different options for mounting, which I appreciated. These would be a great option for anyone who is unhappy with the lack of treble that comes with most factory stereo systems. Although some adjustments will most likely need to be made in your EQ settings as these little speakers could easily overpower if you typically run your system with the treble all the way up. All in all a very good quality product at a great price.

I purchased these to replace the factory tweeters in my 08' Tundra dash corners. Took me less than 10 minutes to install after i cut out the new brackets that they came with. The sound is incredibly better and more crisp. They sound great paired with the Rockford Fosgate speakers i added in the front doors and even added a Pioneer dvd/cd head unit that powers them beautifully! I bought the scratch and dent deal since they wouldn't be seen under the factory screen. They was nothing missing or wrong with them and was $10 cheaper!

These were the last of the stock speakers to get replaced in a 05 Tacoma, modifications were needed but was able to remove parts from factory mounts and splice and reuse plug ends which all worked great, system now sounds fantastic, hearing sounds that I didn't know were there before.

2011 Honda Odyssey
Cannot beat the price on these and the cross-over is built in. I put these into a 2011 Honda Odyssey EX-L. They came with the flush mount ring already present. It was a bit to pry these off because it is a snug fit. The factory Honda grills are 40 mm + or - so I used silicone to attach them. Honda does not give a whole lot of extra wire, so the wiring took the longest to do; especially on the Driver's side (trying to strip wire insulation with a razor blade....). The Posi-connectors work great for this when you don't have a lot of room to work. I gave myself about 8 inches of extra wire on each tweeter (each comes with 6 feet). It all easily tucked inside the dash. So far, the sound is much better than stock - 4 ohm vs. factory 6 ohm.
Pros: Fairly small, great price, built-in crossover.
Cons: None from the speaker or Crutchfield, but Honda.....

Bought these to replace factory tweeters. Big difference in sound of course. Easy to hook up...just spice into factory harness. Seems though that they are supposed to be part of a component system.

Great sound, helps a bunch to add more clarity to my sound w/ my 12" sub so that the highs aren't so drowned out from the sub. The only issue I have is that the tweeters were not sent with any other way to screw them down other than using the screw holes at the base of the plastic housing, I was expecting the option to use screws around flush plastic housing.

Phenomenal tweeters. The 2.5" factory dash speakers in my 2011 Hyundai Sonata were atrocious, and these tweeters were exactly what the system needed. Crystal clear highs. Not even going to need to replace the door speakers (for now). Incredible value. I was afraid that without any amplification these tweeters would start to get sloppy at high volumes, but they do just the opposite. Just ordered some universal backstraps and these fit perfectly.

These tweeters are a great sound upgrade over stock, but you need to get creative to fit them in the 2014 Jeep JK Sport dash pods which is why I didn't give them 5 Stars.

Cons: These are not a simple plug 'n play upgrade on the 2014 Jeep JK Sport. I didn't use any of the housing or face plate which came with speakers. I did however use the stock face plates but had to zip tie the speakers into them using the three tabs on stock face plate.

Weak and fuzzy. I got a replacement pair of the same tweeters that were also weak and fuzzy. I plugged another speaker in and it worked just fine. Not sure what the deal was. Wish I could say it was something else, and maybe it was the high pass filters or something, but I had no way to test without, so sadly not a good rating from me. Just ordered some of the kicker cst20's to try. Hoping for better.

Very economical tweeter from a reputable manufacturer. Not the most expensive (purchased for $35/pair), but a solid investment. Purchased to replace a factory pair of tweeters, and they do the job well. Installation was a snap for the most part, although I had to trim the flanges where the factory tweeter "locked" in. Used the Rockford Fosgate grills and trim ring, and they look fantastic, and have a slight swivel that you can optimally point the speaker once installed. Sound is great for an economical pair of speakers, and was a worthwhile investment.

Good and affordable upgrade from the OEM tweeters

These tweeters were installed to upgrade from the factory tweeters. They installed easily into the dash with a little electricians tape after removing their 'housings'. They sound just fine

In my 03, I officially have all RF components: Amp, Subs, and component sets of RF 6.5". After about 3 years of just blaring my music I finally sent the tweeters in the front to distortion but purchased a new set (with crutchfield rewards program) so I can't complain about the setup. I do wish they offered these in a shallow mount format, but I made due. Awesome when paired with a component 6.5".

If you're looking to build a performance set up that plays loud then this will sound harsh. But for everyday use listening to the radio at normal volume levels it performs great. Not harsh. Clear sound. And for the price I can't complain. Keep in mind you'll need to custom make a mount set up for stock applications. Aftermarket set up's, the provided case should work fine.
Pros: Clear, great sound, cost effective.
Cons: Harsh at louder than normal sound levels. Not a simple plug and okay set up. Modifications might be required.

Tiny unit, must install with straps for corner dash mounting. Soldering to OEM harness recommended. Could be a hard install if not handy with soldering and basic electronic skills. Sound quality is really good, great improvement over OEM tweeters.

Cons: Install is not easy for technically challenged.

Decent sound

Decent sounding tweeters. Did not notice a huge improvement over factory, but I am powering them from the stock head unit. For my particular vehicle an additional mounting bracket was required but not provided. Not sure that one exists. I was able to easily rig something up to keep them in place. Overall, I'd say they are a decent, reasonably priced solution.
Pros: The price is right. They are self contained, easily mountable anywhere you want them.
Cons: May require some custom fabrication of mounting brackets.

2010 Toyota Tacoma
I purchased these speakers to replace a blown tweeter on my 2010 Toyota Tacoma. Overall they are OK, but I think the original JBL tweeters had a little warmer sound and seemed less "harsh" sounding than these. I purchased these based on the the other customer ratings, which were very good but to me these speakers sound just average. Also, if you purchase these, make sure to get back straps to mount them.

The only thing I had an issue with was making my own mounts. With that though I focused each speaker towards the back seats more. Sounds awesome. Crisp and clean highs.

Great tweeters for the price, (replaced center dash speaker) sound is clear and much better than OEM cheap speakers. Custom installation was required and no instructions or even ideas on how to install them are provided, even with the correct harnesses I had to split/ cut the wires and figure out how to mount it.

I just added these to my NSX, which has the OEM Bose sound system, but the head unit is retrofitted with the guts from a Clarion marine unit. These are nice, well-made tweeters, especially for the price. Not only do they include an angle-mount base, but the tweeters also swivel within their main mount, so they are even further aim-able. Nice feature!

I installed these in the window panel of my Ford Escape. I had previously installed Rockford Fosgate speakers in the lower door panels, but the location needed help. Adding the tweeters in the upper part of the door in the window panel really filled out the sound field.

Pretty horrible. Got these to replace the tweeters in my dash and they hardly make any sound at all. With the volume up they just buzz and can't distinguish any sounds. Better off without them. Maybe they sound better in a component system but I doubt it.

I wired these into the stock tweeter locations in my dashboard and they vastly improve my stock stereo! I was thinking about redoing the whole system, but with the tweeters I might just live with the stock setup for a while. Vocals sound crisp and in front of me instead of underneath, cymbals and high pitches sound a lot more focused and clear. Best $50 you'll ever spend on your car stereo.

I bought these tweeters for a stock replacement of the dash tweeters in my 2014 Xterra. It wasn't an exact match, so I had to fabricate a bracket. Very simple. They are currently running off stock watts and sound great. They add the perfect highs I was looking for. I recommend these speakers to anyone.

2007-2013 Jeep Wranglers have tweeters mounted in small "tombstone" mounts on top of the dash. Mine were stolen for some reason so I bought replacement mounts and then decided to try an upgraded tweeter. I had to cut away the inside of the mounts to install these larger tweeters but it was easy and it looks great! Oh and they sound great too!!

Installation was ok but had to do a custom installation had to splice wires for a '03 Vibe GT. Now I hear engine whine through tweeters. Wish I had a custom harness for tweeter.

These speakers sound sooo great very clear with bass. I had to replace my stock rear deck speakers and they sound soo loud and good. My stock speakers I had to crank the volume to 25 now i crank them to 5-9. My next step is to purchase the same ones for the front doors. The setup is so easy its a plug n play which crutchfield adds the wiring harness automaticly to your cart.
Pros: Easy plug n play with the free wire harness that comes with the speakers free. Price is great for those speakers.

I am by no means one of those hardcore audio enthusiasts. I didn't want not expect the most amazing quality, merely to fill in some "dead space". This product was received quickly and was well packaged. The tweeters came with multiple mounting options along with clear and concise instructions for installation. They perform well hitting good highs and distort very little if at all. If your looking to increase clarity and/or fill dead space these are a great option.

Always been a rockford and Crutchfield fan and i hate to write a negative review . But Im very dissapointed i mounted these tweeters in the door of my 2002 chevy and They sounded AMAZING!!! Very clear and very loud. But i am yet to figure out why they only lasted me 3 days. And yes they are running through their own crossover off a kenwood HU????

Bought a pair of these a few weeks ago and just got around to dropping them in my door panels this afternoon. Pretty straightforward installation once I had the door panels removed and cut the holes out. I mounted these in the front doors of my 1994 Ford Ranger XLT and connected them directed to a front pair of RF 6x8 Prime speakers in the doors and the improvement in overall sound was immediate. The sound stage expanded tremendously, the upper end became much cleaner, crisper and detailed, and that brought a grin from ear to ear. My system is really pretty modest, I have an Alpine AM/FM CD Receiver and a 2nd pair of 6x8's in the rear along with a Powered Sub and a couple of smaller amplifiers and together it ROCKS enough for a 50 year old that wants to recall the days of his youth without attracting a lot of unwanted attention.

I have no idea what tweeters these replaced (newly purchased used truck), one tweeter was dead. But, after changing the tweeters out for the pair of Rockford Fosgate Prime R1T-S I can't believe the difference. Just changing the blown one out I could hear the difference in sound between the two different tweeters. After replacing both tweeters and testing the R1T-S, these give crisp, clear and much brighter highs. They were easy to install and are a bargain at these prices! Brought my sound system up to a whole new level.
