Great in small spaces

Although I didn't buy this here, won't happen again Crutchfield service is unmatched, this R2D2 12 in a sealed truck style box is the only way I was able to get some bass in my MR2, tried replacing the factory sub, nah, tried a powered 8" tube, nope, tried a tube and amp setup, again 8", no way. Took a shot and got a sealed prefab box that is 1 foot³ and a truck style wedge, paired it with an old Kicker Impulse amp, and Shazam! Bass in my MR2! Sure, I have to open the sunroof or windows if I want a lot of boom, but leave it to Rockford to save me a lot of time and frustration. Happiness comes in small doses, and RF gave me a really good size dose of happiness ?? Yeah, I know you can't see the box or amp, but in case anyone doesn't know how small an MR2 is this may help, right behind the front seats is the firewall, not a trunk back there that is where the engine lives.

Pros: Economical, reliable, DVC so one has options.

Ran one speaker wired at two ohms-500 watts peak. Didn't last twenty minutes. Guess I'll be going back to a Skar.

Put 2 in a nice ported box. Ordered old school Punch 500 that rated actually 614 . Hey these things hit haaaard in my first gen Tacoma xtracab. I definitely say get ya a couple if you like bass.

Pros: Takes a beating. Push them all you want for as long as you want.

One of the best subs I've ever gotten for a tight space... I went from a kicker 15 to the r2d2 12 and couldn't ask for more. Paired it with a SSL evo 1500 watt amp ( turned down of coarse) and the Rockford box to fit behind the seat in my 05 crew cab.. best bass for the buck

These subs are amazing for the price. Sound good, hit hard. Originally had 2 10s but upgraded to 2 12s in my truck. Love fosgate and will always use them.

Great Bang For The Buck!

First off, these are great for tight spaces where depth is a issue. I bought two of these to fit under my back seat and are downfiring in a sealed box. I must say they sound great, hit low notes and really rattle things up around my truck. If quality is on your mind with a budget, these subs are the way to go.

Pros: Catch all the low end notes and sound quality is amazing in a tight space.

Cons: Had to modify speaker box and cut the holes just a bit bigger since the mounting diameter is a few MM's bigger than a traditional subwoofer.

This 12 went into my wife's SUV "budget build". She gave me just enough room to upgrade some much needed features in her audio quality. This RF R2D2 was the right sub for the job. It requires very little power to get great bass and the Freq, ranges work well with all types of music that is played.

These are awesome. I've never gotten rocksford fosgate before( mostly cause there too expensive)but these are amazing. I've known about the company and how well there subs are made. I've really wanted some and now I have them, and there awesome. Even for 250 watts. They still thump good. And the sound quality ias amazing.

Pros: Very easy too install. Good sound quality and loundness factor.

Cons: So far nothing, And I've had them for almost 3 months. Still work like new. I really doubt there will be any problems for a long while.

I just put two of these 12's in a dual chamber sealed bbox on a prime r750-1d and they shake my whole car but retain clarity which I love!

Just plain awesome, what more could I say? Have two R2D2-12's wired at a 2 ohm load being pushed by a Rockford Fosgate 500 X1D, inside a 2005 f-150 standard cab with a sealed box, I made with a final box volume at 1.06 per speaker and they thump. Could not ask for anything more. Sound Quality awesome, Price awesome, Crutchfield lifetime tech support pricless!!!!!
