This is a solid subwoofer for the price. I have it in a sealed box under the seat and the punchiness and loudness really impressed me. I've always been a Rockford fan. You really can't go wrong with their subs.

Quality sound for everyone

I have been using a Boss Chaos DVC 10in. loaded in a B-Box standard truck enclosure mostly because I don't have the extra money recently to get the brands I really want, and the Boss was solid on 250 watts and had a clean sound, but recently I saw Rockford Fosgate Prime R2 for a great price and couldn't resist and it's a big difference from Boss, the R2's high sensitivity and range is so different that anyone will notice the upgrade, with lower bass and tighter even cleaner high bass,and because of the high sensitivity difference you hear more of the music at low volume, overall super satisfied with the sound quality,I wish the RMS was higher but 250 with high sensitivity is LOUD, and all subwoofer's should come with grills in my opinion, Crutchfield is my go to for Audio knowledge, but the website really runs bad for me on all devices, and my Chaos sub looks cool & sounds good for 25 bucks with 250 w. & a lot of bass it didn't blow, but when Fosgate subs are priced like cheapy subs you gotta be smart and get them.,

Very good budget speaker

I have this speaker hooked up to an alone 250 amp @ 2ohms in a custom sealed box close to recommended dimensions and it sounds very good for the money. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. It exceeded my expectations.

I paired this Sub with the Kenwood KAC-5207 (bridged) and built my own enclosure for my Toyota Previa. I could not be happier. It really fills in the range of sound I have been missing without a sub. I listen to all kinds of music and this setup does not disappoint in any aspect of sound quality. I have an after market stereo (alpine cda-9883) for those interested. If you want powerful bass or just a rich full sound, this is a good place to start.

I am extremely pleased with the wide range of tone that this speaker generates! It actually sounds better than the factory speaker that was installed in the car! The bass is just fills the car wonderfully. The speaker looks of real good quality and it handles my in-trunk amplifier really good with extra volume left over! I honestly give this this speaker on a scale of 1-10 a 10 easily.

Great Budget Woofer!

I'm giving this 5 stars because for the price, this sub is great. Got it for a good price from scratch and dent, but didn't see what was wrong with it. It still had the mounting screws inside the box. I'm running one of these in the sound ordinance ported box with a jbl gtx500 and it sounds amazing for a single 10'' budget woofer. I was surprised as it hit the lows as well. It could be because i'm running it at 2 ohms with this 500rms amp but with the gain at 1/4 (had to dial it down a little bit). This sub is getting all the juice it needs to perform as well as it does.

This review is different than normal. I'm not going to rate the audio. So many already have. I found the diagram for the dual voice coils a little confusing, so I called the Rockford Fosgate customer service number, reached a tech and had my question answered immediately all within a couple minutes. I actually answered my own question, but I was impressed with how easy it was to reach their customer service and the speed that all my concerns were answered. Oddly enough, if you buy only one of these, this dual 4 ohm voice coil can either be wired as a 2 ohm or 8 ohm speaker if you are running a single channel amp. If you have a dual channel amp, you can wire as 4 ohm, or if you pair it with a second sub you can get more configuration options.

I have 2 of these under the back seat of my 4 door Chevy in a sealed box. Great sound and bass for a small enclosure. Priced reasonable. I have used them hard for about a year now, no complaints. I am pushing them with a Rockford prime 500 watt mono amp, what an awesome combination.

I have used Rockford Fosgate speakers since the late 80's. This pair of 10" woofers replaced a pair I had in boom box since the 80's. They are great speakers. Great sound and $ per $ you can't beat them.

These subs really sound good. I have two in a box made to fit under the rear seat with only .65 cu ft of air space a piece. They are bridged on a kenwood 600w 2 channel so about 150w rms per sub. With all that said stop reading reviews and make the purchase. I will eventually pair them with the rockford 500w mono but definitely not in a hurry and every day im wondering if that is even necessary as im grinning ear to ear writing this review listening to them.

Disappointment from Rockford Fosgate

The look and style of this sub is pleasing. Easy to use. This sub stays cool and does not get hot. Resulting in longer life span. Downside the makers of this sub should have taken more time to make sure that everything is properly glued together. A separate gasket would help to make sure this sub is sealed flush with the box. To reduce unwanted air leaks. Something I noticed with this sub is that it doesn't hit the ultra low notes very well. A sub sonic filter is definitely needed. Tuned to 50hz. A ported high SPL box tuned at 50hz will get this sub to play loud and clear. This sub comes with screws and it own screw bit. Good for putting this sub in a new box. I found this sub works best with various rock music and not so much with hip-hop. As hip-hop requires a minimum of 30hz for a better sound experience. Hope this helps the next time your looking for a new 10in subwoofer.

I bought 2 of them and put them in an old set of Rockford Fosgate truck boxes i had and im not disapointed at all
