Sound ok, but pretty tinny. No low end compared to the factory speakers.

I have to say, the t1682 are the only speakers that didnt blow with my 1000watt rockfort fosgate px1000 amp( the better one), but i felt like i should get more put of them. The clarity just wasnt there. I swapped the recently with infinity kappa 683xf speakers in the rears. Morels in the front, and right away, there was a sound improvement. Much more clarity, and performance. I just felt the whole time i owned them, they felt alil dead. I had them custom tuned, so that wasnt the problem. The infinity's are more powerful, so im interested to see what i can get out of them.
Pros: Decent speaker
Cons: Sound just isnt 100%

Installed these on a 2006 Ford F350 for front speakers and they are a good improvement over stock. It's a little tight using them as fronts but they work. Now I just need to get the rears.

I purchased the T1682 speakers as direct replacement speakers for the 4 factory speakers in my 2006 F250 and the sound quality is amazing. These speakers bring all new life to the old ones I had. I have a JL Audio amp running these and they sound amazing! Installation was a breeze as they were like factory replacements.
Pros: Sound quality, fitment
Cons: None

These are Serious Mids
Guest from Oregon on 3/15/2015
One of the factory mids in my 04 Explorer (Eddie Bauer) went out, so I figured I would replace all 4 door speakers the same day. I initially bought 4 of these, installed the front set no problem (Crutchfield says they won't fit up front but they did fit in my rig). However these will not fit in the rear doors, so I returned one set and got a pair of Alpine SPR-68's for the rear. The head unit is an Alpine CDA-117, and it will run these OK at 18w RMS, however with an Alpine SWR-12D4 running off a 500w mono-block in the rear it became obvious real quick that these were going to need more juice to keep up. So I went back to the stereo store and picked up an Alpine PDR-V75 amplifier (they didn't carry the 4 channel PDR-F50). A few hours later I had it all installed and, wow these puppies came ALIVE! Took ~20 minutes to get everything dialed in just right, but once done it sounds amazing. My system used to have a dead spot between about 90-180Hz, not anymore. These mids put out clean, LOUD audio throughout the entire range of 90Hz to 22KHz when supplied with the proper power. With the mid amp gain set at half way it will get uncomfortably loud way before it distorts. I would have to say that these put out better lower end thump than the Alpine SPR-68's in the rear (the head unit is set for 80Hz cutoff to the mids). Have tested with Bass305, Rammstein, Enya, new popular music everything sounds awesome!
Pros: Clean, loud audio. Really nice highs (symbols etc..) Good lows (would not try to push them below 80 Hz)
Cons: Now I feel like I need a bigger sub amp.
