Fuse HolderKit Review
Tulsa Town from Tulsa, OK on 2/22/2016
A little hard to install, wires need to be frayed not wound on either end to work correctly. Fuse is exposed, a little concerned because of the heat and elements / water under the hood could cause a short
Pros: Inexpensive and versatile
Cons: listed above

Good product
MJDGator from Tampa Bay on 12/10/2015
It's a good product that works. You get what you pay for though. This is a simple basic design...nothing fancy. To help others who purchase this product I will suggest 2 things to address negatives listed on the other reviews. First, the 12 gauge wire Crutchfield sends with this kit has a thick jacket so it does not fit well on the ends. What I did was strip 1/2 inch of wire as suggested then took a razor and shaved some of the jacket where it is supposed to fit in the connector. I then put shrink tubing to cover any shaved area showing. Not necessary but I am OCD with that type of stuff. Do not shave too much. Shave a little and test fit periodically until you get your desired fit. Second, water proof issue. I took some dielectric grease and ran a bead of it around the plastic fuse body 360 degrees at the bottom (not on the metal connectors/legs). Then when you push the fuse in to the holder it smears up and fills in the open creases around the fuse body. Not submersible water proof but definitely splash proof. I also "caulked" both ends where the wire goes in to the terminals and the threads of the terminals (before screwing them in) with the dielectric grease.

Not a great fit
BVS from Colorado on 9/15/2015
This looks like a great idea but it does not work well with the gauge wire supplied in the installation kit. I had to put electrical tape over the ends and I am now looking for something that works better.
Pros: Seemed like a good idea...
Cons: Opening in the end does not allow wire with insulation to be inserted so some wire sticks out and you have to tape over it.

Water Tight Fuse Holder
MS from Bakersfield, CA on 9/7/2015
These fuse holders were part of an install kit. They work as designed and were somewhat easy to install. The connectors of the holder had to be bored out with a drill bit to get the sheathing of the conductor to fit inside the connector. Not a big deal, but did cause a minor delay. The kit could be improved with water tight fuse holders. The top of the fuse is exposed with easy access for water to enter the holder and cause a short. As this kit was used on a '06 Wrangler, the environment in the engine bays of these vehicles could see some moisture and make a back country trip a drag. Also, when placed less than 18" from the battery, the holder is near the side of the engine bay just inside the hood, which brings it closer to the elements. Other than this, the holders are a good way to go for the DIY'er.
Pros: Easy to install (with the right drill bit), works as designed.
Cons: Needs to be water tight, could add a fuse holder to the kit with a fold over cover to ensure some protection from moisture.
