Another great boyo csmera

I am using this camera on a truck with a heavy steel protective shield protecting the rear window. I purchased this particular camera for the microphone to hear the person guiding me when backing. The picture on the camera is sharp and has great contrast and color. The only downside to the camera is the 65 ft of cable that comes with it. I called and asked for a smaller cable, but was told that was the only one available. Right now I have about 35ft of cable coiled under the dash.

Boyo VTB301HD

I was told this Boyo camera was Kenwood compatible but it's not. The image can be seeing but the camera settings feature doesn't work. It doesn't even lit as an option. My old RV rear camera and infotainment system gave the option to see three different images as needed ( Standard - Hitch - Wide angle). I don't recommend for Kenwood DNR1008RVS. This Boyo camera specifications reads that has "selectable reverse image" which I thought it was for selecting between standard - hitch - wide angle, but if it does, it doesn't work on Kenwood.

Average at best. This camera was recommended by a Crutchfield salesperson, and I am not very happy with it, but since it was already installed and has proprietary wiring, I am stuck with it!

This camera is great at night and in inclement weather. I run a landscaping business that does snow removal as well. This will be our second truck with this camera based off of the great results we had with the first truck. I have had no issues with cold weather on this camera and it doesn't appear to require heating. It works so well that I see insects and mist flying around when I'm in reverse (when I can't see it with my eyes). I've mounted it under the bed of a dump truck so we can see the rear while backing up to trailers without the aid of a second person as well as safety at night while moving around in snow storms, it's fantastic and I would recommend this robust unit to all.

Very good camera, hardest part was running the wires to the dash but it was all worth it in the end!

I'd probably put 0 stars. Picture wasn't great. It got moisture in it pretty quickly. Only lasted about a year and then broke. Shopping for a new camera.

Boyo camera with mic

I had small Clarion reverse camera. Great resolution, but Lasted just over a year. Front cam is Pioneer, great res, still works. So I ordered Boyo. Arrived fast. My wife said it looks like a real camera. So far works great in Miaimi hot sun. Res is great day or night. Heavy duty bracket and hardware. Nice long cable with ground shield, rubber seal for cable entry and screw on coupler. Oh. It has a microphone also, so u can listen to outside activity. Thanks Crutchfield.
