Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-8000F II
ROBERT A from NORTH CHARLESTO, SC on 7/3/2025
I have four of these, to our new one is open box one is scratch and dent. And you can't tell the difference between any of them unless you really look harder than one scratch and dent. If you have room for these speakers it is the way to go, my opinion bookshelf speakers are waste when you can use four towers.
Pros: , clean Rich sounding
Cons: can't think of one

Great Speakers!
Christopher from Raleigh, NC on 7/2/2025
Recently upgraded my 7 speaker bookshelf/center/floor standing speaker system to Klipsch RP-8000F II, RP-600M II, RP-600M, & RP-504C II a few months ago and I'm definitely impressed! Was a bit trepidatious about moving to a horn design in a home theater and audio listening environment, especially given my live sound equipment that also employs horns and waveguides that can be very forward, but these speakers have been a pleasure and definitely impress. I gave them about 20 hours of break-in with various reference material before I did any critical listening and they came alive. They had a little bit of harshness at first listen, but they warmed up nicely after the break in. Very clear and articulate, especially if you give them a bit of power, and will do great with any 100w/ch amp (currently using a higher end ONKYO). EQ/setting up in the receiver is definitely worth the time and experiment with various toe-in angles to get the best image at the listening position. Watching blue-rays and streaming 4k/UHD content has been fantastic. Listening to HD music sources has been equally as impressive. Both highlighted the need to upgrade my subwoofer next (thanks Klipsch!). Build quality on the series II's is great at this price point, and you can definitely tell from the added cabinet weight and wiring changes/aesthetics that they made between series I and II (I have both in the RP-600M's - not that the originals are a slouch). Highly recommended!
Pros: Great all-around speakers!
Cons: They beg you to play them louder, then louder still. Don't buy them at full market/list price, plenty of sales happen throughout the year!

Replaced a pair of Vienna Acoustics speakers that had served me well. These were a greater upgrade than I expected. They are a handful - meaning big and heavy, but the sound is outstanding. They are way more efficient and a pleasure to listen to. Very happy with the purchase. Packaging was very good.

Nice Units
Crutchfield customer from Granville, OH on 5/29/2025
I was looking for something a little more refined than my 25-year-old Cerwin Vega set (yes, I can feel the eye rolls now). Vintage Pioneer SX-1050 driving them. I assume they need a good break-in period as I am not hearing the bass others are mentioning here. The highs are quite nice, however. I considered retuning them but then a serendipitous moment: ran them with the old CV set and the bass from the old school floor thumpers complimented these quite nicely. I really like the walnut finish and these look quite nice. I went with 4 stars as I'm just not feeling the bass but maybe that will come with use. UPS delivery to Ohio is a real drag, however. One came early. Another went 200 miles out of the way and arrived looking pretty beat up. Despite the ugly box condition (looked like it had been dropped), all was well probably due to the manufacture's good packaging.

Probably Keepers
Robert from Dexter, MI on 5/26/2025
First kudos to Crutchfield. They had them in stock & shipped quickly whereas Klipsch Direct did not have them in stock. And I got them on sale for 550ea. So far I have had mixed results with the speakers themselves. Some stuff sounds as good as I have ever heard & other stuff not so much. Some "in the know" folks say the better the speaker the more likely average/bad recordings will sound as much. Maybe that is what I am experiencing. I do notice that much more mid frequencies come out of the top port than the bottom port. This may cause more unwanted back wall reflections from the top port. I have plugged the top port & will evaluate that. They do play louder than my old speaks in my 21x23 room with a vaulted ceiling. Lots of "scale" and efficiency and the biggest speakers I've ever had in this room. I did own some very large VMPS in the distant past at another house. Diana Krall, Linda Ronstadt & Eric Clapton have very good vocals on these. Don't know why Crutchfield rates these lower than others in this measure. Cabinet structure is quite good & I only feel the slightest of vibration from them even when playing very loud music. Cabinets are close to inert. I like the integrated feet. These are not warm sounding speakers in my room. The bass is there, but it is well controlled. I find myself tweaking the BASS setting on my Yamaha receiver depending on the source. I'll probably keep these.
Pros: Play loud & cleanly Great on voice.
Cons: Can sound a little lean but fixed with a little EQ

I own a pair of RF820 F Klipsch tower speakers. I had a chance to listen to the RP-8000FII and couldn't believe my ears. They are not marginally better. They are 10 times better. I could not believe how clear and crisp they sound. They sound better than some $5,000.00 a pair, speakers I've heard. AMAZING for the price. Klipsch has really stepped up their game. The cabinet is reinforced and solidly built. You will not be disappointed with these speakers.

Klipsch RP8000 F II are balanced and AWESOME !
Steve from STARKVILLE, MS on 5/2/2025
OUTSTANDING sound and features, sheesh! Daisy, bless her, sold em to me. Tucker helped too. GREAT customer service. and FAST, prefect delivery! Dang! Set-up was EASY! I prepared in advance by reading and understanding the .pdf manual. Paired with Klipsch RP8000F2 speakers, LG 55" OLED, Klipsch R120-SW sub-woof doohickee, and a Sony UBP-800M2 Blu-ray, and some Cleer Enduro ANC wireless phones which I haven't tried yet. I got the system set-up and started watching Blu-ray music and videos, listening to CD's, LG and other content provided, and hooked up Amazon and You-tube. The system sounds PERFECT and works flawlessly. I have carpet and the RP8000's are angled a bit and about 14" from the wall. The room is 12' deep (viewing seating) but is about 30 feet long. It's kind of an open floor plan. An opening in the wall to the kitchen right behind the viewing seating/sofa didn't seem to affect anything. I toed the speakers in, about 10' feet apart with the sub centered under the TV on a wall bookcase desk. It truly feels like you're sitting in the middle of a sound stage with nothing harsh or protruding in the way or distracting. There is no shrill or tiresome high-end, or anything negative. It sounds very balances and enjoyably comfortable, to my ears at least. The well-rounded depth of sounds from HD sources is astonishing. It all sounds synergistic. GREAT system, GREATER service, and memories! TY!
Pros: 1. Bi-amped, easy set-up, quality is apparent, and a great value! Paired with the Onkyo 6100 which already has Klipsch RP8000F II calibrations in their (easy) setup. 2. Sounds amazing. Balanced. No tiresome highs or brain-boggling lows. Just greatness. 3. Not as big as I thought they'd be. Looks great in the viewing room. 4. Crutchfield, Daisy, terrific customer service and FAST delivery exceeds expectations.
Cons: 1. None. 2. Still none after a few days of enjoying the system.

William from Knoxville, TN on 4/6/2025
Thanks to Crutchfield for the fast shipping! First, these speakers are beautiful! Well made, solid and heavy! I bought these because of Klipsh reputation for building quality speakers and they were in my target price range. My first set of quality speakers in years. They are wonderful to my ears.Crisp highs, cutting middle and plenty of lows and plenty loud!! I'm pushing them with a vintage Pioneer SA-9500. Nice, fat and warm! I also run my Samsung TV through a DAC and into the 9500 for superior sound. If you wanted more low end you could add a subwoofer, but these Klipsh have plenty low end for my stlye of music, which is mostly 60's-70's rock, soul, funk.. and excellent choice of quality speakers at an affordable price point! Rock On..
Pros: Excellent sound and quality. Stylish and sophisticated. Classy!

Excellent Speaker full stop.
Joshua from CARTERSVILLE, GA on 3/28/2025
This speaker the Klipsch RP 8000F II is simply awesome. They have a nice airy and detailed sound with solid bass output as well. I will say they are reveling, and they will let you know what is in your signal that you are sending to them. I do absolutely recommend that you use some kind of isolation solution to "decouple" this speaker from the floor. The cast aluminum feet with a small rubber foot do not isolate this speaker from the floor. The feet are nice looking and solid though, once these are isolated from the floor the midrange will clear up and the bass will tighten up. trust me, it is a noticeable change for the good. To those of you that are concerned about these speakers being bright or shrill, they are not, or they are not with a good amplifier. If you are someone that has a lower end AVR and you push the AVR's amp too hard these speakers will reveal the amp losing, it's composure. Yes, I do recommend you get these if they are in your budget, and you like a livelier sounding speaker, not bright or harsh, just not a laid-back speaker. Now a quick word about Crutchfield, they are great! Fast AF shipping and they double box their speakers so the actual box the speaker is in is perfect! Crutchfield is awesome, buy with confidence. Side not: Keep the damn boxes for you new speakers! It will be worth the hassle if you move and or sale them in the future, also remember the 60-day returns/trial period. You might want to return whatever you got for something co

I am very grateful that Klipsch and Crutchfield make these amazing speakers affordable and offer periodic sales. If you are considering purchasing a set of these speakers, you may proceed.just look at the ratings. You will fall in love with the precise, clean and exquisite sound these speakers deliver. I am using a Yamaha RX-V4A, along with 2 Klipsch subwoofers, RP-1000 SW and a 1400 SW and an RP 500C II center channel. For the rear speakers I am using 2 Yamaha Music Cast 20 speakers. So for reference I am upgrading from some Elac Debut Reference DBR62 bookshelf speakers being pushed by a Yamaha RN-803 receiver and my listening room is 12'x15'. I have been looking to upgrade from my bookshelf speakers for about two years and I am happy to report the patience and research has paid off people! The final straw to help me with my shyness of pulling the trigger was a rave review from "Andrew Robinson" on YouTube, this man reviews everything and let me tell you he didn't disappoint! So I knew it was going to big a huge sound improvement but I had no idea of just how massive! Bass, treble, imagining, everything is just improved! And I have already cranked this up quit a bit and the sound is nothing but crisp, clean music to my ears! For the price I paid and what I now have the pleasure of listening to is insane!!!!! Thank you to Klipsch for making such a great speaker and also HUGE shut out and thank you to Crutchfield for the sale and Donna for the AMAZING customer service!

After buying 4 for the frontside we bought 2 of these the back. We had 4 RP-280's and upgraded to the 8000 II. We are really impressed with sound improvement and power handling. My wife and I are rockers and love it loud. Some of the reviewers state they can't listen to music loud unless the wife is gone...my wife says sorry guys. We did have one issue with one but with one call to Crutchfield it was taken care of. They are powered with a Marantz SR8015. Along with a R-112sw,RP-1200 & RP-1600sw fills out our system. We'll be adding a 2nd 1600sw later. You can't go wrong with these RP-8000 II and Crutchfield makes it easy

Well, I bought these speakers, I replaced them with the RP 8000 and I'm impressed because since I took it out of the box they have an incredible sound, a bass that almost doesn't need a Subwoofer, I took it off the wall like some 12 inches around and like more or less the same from the walls on the side and it is really a delight to listen to it, it can divide each instrument, the cymbals, the vocals, all the instruments that they are playing on that in that song you can divide and know what they are I'm fine but very happy with Crutchfield for their service they are the best so thank you.
Pros: Buen sonido Pero buen Sonido y gracias a Crutchfield un buen precio sin romper el Banco súper contento. Good sound. But good sound and thanks to Crutchfield a good price without breaking the bank super happy.

The sound is very good. Matches well with our 504CII and sub. No complaints and very pleased with what we are hearing.
Pros: great separation, bass is good w/out a sub. We have a klipsch sub and together it all sounds well matched and so far, has been able to handle all we've thrown at them. nice looking, well made shipping was great
Cons: they are tall but fit fine. none to date.

Big sound, beautiful to look at!
Steven from Cincinnati, OH on 1/31/2025
Imposing but not as big as I had feared which is good. Due to other equipment issues (turntable electrical problem and CD player with a bad belt), I haven't had a chance to do much serious listening. My initial impressions are big sound (they are very efficient), very bright and well balanced sound from bass to mid to treble. I don't think I will need a subwoofer at this point. I will be rearranging the listening room soon and then when I get my turntable and CD player up and running I will be able to give a more detailed assessment of the speakers. Certainly no regrets. Thanks, Klipsch and Crutchfield for the great deal and also thanks to Crutchfield for getting those two big boxes to me so quickly.

I had previously purchased a set of Klipsch R28-PF powered tower speakers and those sounded awesome unless I turned them up all the way and then the amp would cut out. It started to annoy me enough that I decided to get these passive speakers and some new separate components. Since I knew I already liked the sound profile of the Klipsch speakers I already owned, I figured these would sound about the same. I think I had a little more bass response from the original ones but these new ones sound amazing especially when paired with a subwoofer. They sound great on their own but if you like a fuller, richer sound, then I suggest getting a subwoofer to go with them. If anyone is interested, I connected them to an Emotiva BasX A2 amp, an Emotiva BasX PT2 preamp and added a REL HT/1205 MKII subwoofer.

Great speakers. From the initial notes of Dire Straits' first album as a test disc, I quickly realized I had been living way too long relying on an old Yamaha YSP4000 active sound bar for musical entertainment. Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-8000F II
Rich from MONTICELLO, IN on 7/3/2024
The speakers sound magnificent with a variety of music; rock, jazz, and classical. On performance alone they are five (5) stars. I rated them four (4) stars because the instructions on how to hook them up is very lacking. The instructions did not show the upper terminals at the bottom of the speaker are for the optional Dolby Atmos speakers. Plugging the receiver into the upper terminals equals no sound. Labeling the terminals as "Vertical" is not clear. With the speakers, I had purchased a new receiver and speaker cables so I didn't know if the problem was with the Klipsch speakers or the other new components. After doing some basic troubleshooting with the old receiver, speakers, and cables, I isolated the problem to the Klipsch speakers. Naturally I was setting up the system on a Friday evening after Crutchfield support had closed. I did several google and you-tube searches for how to connect the speakers but found none. I finally figured out the problem after watching a youtuber take apart a speaker. Then I realized that maybe the cables were supposed connect to the lower terminals. Once I moved the speaker cables to the lower terminals the sound came on and the system worked great. Attached is a picture showing how I had to connect the speakers to get them to work. I definitely like the speakers, just not the initial frustration of getting them to work.
Pros: Great sound
Cons: Connection instructions are poor.

After a couple months of listening to these bad ass towers they have impressed us to the max! They replaced our RP-280's which are cool floor's but the 8000 ll are definitely a major upgrade! The RP-8000 ll's are so much fuller in sound & power, the new redesigned woofers, which my wife &I are convinced they are based off the woofers in the new RP Subs, that produce a better punch- body & richer sound response along with the famous Klipsch horn which equals a full in -your-face fantastic listening experience! We bought 4 of them to go along with are Klipsch RP Subs -1200 & 1600 and are 1st sub Klipsch R-112. The new designed RP-8000 ll have completed our sound system! We listen to music all the time now. We are hearing instruments &parts of songs we never heard before, the 8000ll's definitely improved depth and clarity in the sound. We are running a marantz SR 80001 and streaming HD -UHD Rock n Roll! We are blown away with the rich quality sound these RP 8000 ll's have added to our sound. They are definitely worth investing in. Crutchfield staff are the best in the business and love their shipping method. Thanks Crutchfield from 2 Rockers...smiles all the way!!
Pros: Fantastic all around speaker producing full rich sound with Clarity Depth & Detail, superb listening experience. A Must-Have to complete any system
Cons: To us there are none, but sad to say others will find fault or make one up

Klipsch - RP-8000F II
Jerold from Auburn, AL on 5/25/2024
Very balanced speaker that exceeded all sound quality expectations. Some reviews state that a sub-woofer is not needed, but my testing with and without the sub demonstrate that ordering Reference 12" sub-woofer truly brings out all the best attributes of these speakers. I found this to be especially true when listening to classic rock music from the '70s! Purchased mine during recent sale which made them a real bargain. Purchase from Crutchfield was simple and received speakers in the 3-day time-frame stated.
Pros: Look as good as they sound while being a great value for this quality of speaker!
Cons: To experience the sound these speakers are capable of, you must match them with a 12" sub-woofer!

A little bit of relaxation and alot of superb sound reproduction
Stephen from Verona, WI on 5/24/2024
I recently upgraded a two channel stereo from Klipsch RP-4000F floorstanding speakers to the Klipsch RP-8000F II and since installing them, the smile ?? has been infectious in this home. The routine is generally, being the owner of two large red-golden retriever brothers, supper, outside time, cuddle time on the couch and a brief flick through the channels to determine "what not to watch"! The routine is now, supper, outside time, cuddle time and power up the stereo, dim choose an album, vinyl, digital or even tape! Remove yourself from the world and relax bathed in the perfection of the sound reproduction from the Klipsch RP-8000F II's They create a musical ambience that is second to none. From the 70' and 80's, the English rock band Renassiance, to Kate Bush, Genesis, just everything, the sound is immaculate. Add in the pleasure of listening to jazz, to classical to opera. These speakers dazzle the ears. The eight in woofers do not disappoint and deliver a deep rich bass. Midrange and vocals are pure and clear and clean that you can imagine yourself being 20 again with the thrill of being in a concert hall. The high's are really exceptional, and without a doubt, I can honestly say these are the finest speakers I've owned. Enjoying every moment sitting in the sweet spot on the music room. I'm no longer alone on the couch. The discerning wife is beside me asking what exactly do you like about this group. Fine music, great bands and excell
Pros: klipsch knows who to engineer some of the finest speakers. RP-8000F II's excellent bass response, crystal clear mid-range, astonishing detail and superior highs in everything I've played. Exceptional quality and value for money.
Cons: These speakers are hearty, so practice the push-ups and do some weights before moving these impressive floor standing speakers from Klipsch. The one drawback from ownership, relegated the Klipsch RP-4000F to the 4K flatscreen TV and even the wife is browsing online to look at a Klipsch surround sound system. Becoming better educated in home receivers. What can you can, only an hiobwst and heart felt, "Thank You Crutchfield"

Game changer for home theater! Made my system come to life over my previous speakers, which weren't too shabby for HT (Jamo C97 II). The RP-8000F II's are more articulate, detailed and present sounding. I'm hearing details I didn't notice before in my movie collection. They did take a little break in process, but it only took a couple hours for me to hear them really open up with their presence. I have in-ceiling Klipsch speakers for Atmos. They sounded decent when running the Jamo setup for my bed layer. Now, with the 8000F II, 504C, and RP-600M II for my bed layer, I hear far more detail and presence with the overhead Atmos...must be due to all the speakers being matched with voicing. The fast and articulate mid-bass punch really enhances/compliments my sub response (dual SVD PB-3000). For music, I'm still playing with setup/toe in/angles. For HT They sound best straight out for big sound stage and surround panning. But, for music/2-channel listening it isn't as present with center/phantom listening. As a dual purpose setup, I'm sure I'll find a happy medium. If you're more into 2-channel/music, then you're probably not looking at HT based towers anyway Cheers...
Pros: Very detailed and present Easy to drive to stupid levels without distortion Big Soundstage for movies Great response, and sound, even placed close to the wall
Cons: Could be better for center stage imaging for music Lack the more fancy finish options

Jared from PITTSBURGH, PA on 2/27/2024
I knew going into my upgrade that, if for no other reason, the amount of advances that the current gen of speakers have in them vs. my old pair, I was going to be happy with my purchase. But I'm on the lower end of the hi-fi spectrum and don't use an amplifier, so I need an efficient pair of speakers for my home theater/music listening needs. The Klipsch RP-8000F IIs may as well have strutted into my home and pushed my old Paradigm towers out of the way. They are confident. They have presence. And they sound GREAT. For all the Klipsch haters out there, I dare you to find a better all-around listening experience for the money, without needing extra gear. Couldn't be more pleased!
Pros: Very efficient & AMAZING at lower volumes. Dual ports make them more versatile. Good listening angles
Cons: While they look good naked, the vinyl finishes on the sides leave a lot to be desired at this price point compared to competition. Not much else.

These are pretty big and heavy, but you get two 8-inch drivers which was a selling point to me. They deliver full range sound and you can get by without a subwoofer. Very sensitive, powerful, and probably the easiest speaker to drive. You can use any amplifier with these. I get great stereo separation. I think these speakers are very true to the recordings, meaning that there's no color added. It's just a clear clean sound and they don't have a ridiculous price. You can also save by not having to buy a sub. I'm using these for a 2-channel music set up and very happy with Klipsch.

These bad boys love to perform
Charles from Chicago, IL on 1/9/2024
These speakers are absolutely incredible. I had the opportunity while I was in university at Southern Illinois University to actually take a class with the grandson of the founder of Klipsch speakers. The presentation was incredible. I just happened to be majoring in music theory at the time and have never forgotten about the Klipsch sound during that semester. Klipsch have always been a little expensive. So, when I was able to actually afford a pair at my price point, I jumped, and haven't been disappointed. I listen to many different genres of music and live in an open loft space, these bad boys just love to perform. I have them paired with my Marantz 1711 for now, the sound is phenomenal.

Broke my heart to return them
Crutchfield customer from CONWAY, AR on 9/16/2023
The four stars above were added with great disappointment and would have been three had it not been for Crutchfield's fine handling. Obviosly a class company on every level. As for the Klipsch RP-8000f ii's, I can only express sadness because I returned them. Since 2012 I've listened to a pair of Martin Logan Motiion 12s (a fairly nice-sounding three-way speaker) but, two months ago, based entirely on the incredible number of rave reviews and a great sale price at Crutchfield, I bought the Klipsch RP-8000f iis. For the next six weeks I worked to squeeze the best sound I could from them, from repositioning them dozens of times to trying three amps. Nothing helped. They failed me in my favorite music; classical symphonic and piano pieces. For me, the medium highs and highs had a bit of grittinness that I could not eliminate nor tolerate. Dozens of reviews, thousands probably, say that the Klipsch RPs are no longer too sharp on the high end - that they now have a quite even frequency response, that they are a "fun" speaker (what ever that means). The Logans did fine for TV viewing, and I don't want to have fun listening to Chopin or Beethoven. Like the title says; It broke my heart but I had to return them

Klipsch RP 8000Fii speakers
Matt from ATHENS, OH on 9/11/2023
I have been listening to JBL L110 speakers since I bought them in 1997. They have been my only living room speakers for 46 years. They were, are, very good speakers, but I have been reading that many improvements in speaker technology have happened over the past four decades. Imagine that? So I began reading (researching) about current speakers. My budget was $2,,000 max for a pair. After a decent amount of reading, watching video reviews, and scouring web pages, I settled upon the Klipsch RP 8000Fii and the KEF Q 750. I have purchased from Crutchfield for many years and with the sale price for the Klipsch I went with them. They arrived at my house after three days from the day I placed the order. The packaging was superb! The very heavy (about 65 pounds each) large boxes were in excellent condition. Before I received the order I watched two videos on 'unboxing Klipsch RP 8000Fii' which was very, very helpful. I knew what the large boxes contained, and how to deal with them. They are heavy! I have now been listening to these speakers for about three days. They are, in my view, excellent speakers. My living room is about 12' wide by 20' long, with an 11' ceiling height. The speakers are placed across the room from each other. I listen to a lot of acoustic jazz, some classical, some rock, and some international acoustic music. These speakers are excellent. I do not know what $20,000 dollar speakers sound like, but these speakers sound very, very good

I ordered these speakers on a Monday, and they were playing music on Thursday - thanks to Crutchfield's excellent customer service. I had been using Klipsch RP-600M Bookshelves for quite a while, and was very happy with their performance. When the 8000F II's came out I thought seriously about them as I have a large listening room. When they came on sale for a very good price recently, I pulled the trigger. They are wonderful speakers. The sound is fuller; some somewhat 'bare' or thin spots were filled in, and the room now has that rich, whole sound. Soundstage, imaging, separation, are excellent. These speakers are a great investment, a terrific value - especially at the sale price - and I highly recommend them.

I've been listening to music for 45+ years and listened to lots of terrific equipment during that time. In fact, 30 years ago I had a pair of Klipsch Heresys which were very enjoyable. In the last few years we have downsized and I no longer have a dedicated listening room, nor do I have high end separates, which were difficult to let go. Now, I have one big room (30' x 24" x 11') in which I watch TV and/or listen to music. My source is a Denon 960 (90 w/side on the main speakers). I thought these would be good speakers, but they are better than good. They are articulate without being analytical. Vocals, piano, and string instruments are amazingly clear. Bass is authoritative and not bloated. These are brand new and not broken in, so they are likely to sound even better. They are absolutely, positively an incredible value - everything I hoped for...and then some.

I'm a smitten kitten! These speakers are the real deal. I have a very "live" living room and have found it difficult to find a good setup for many years. I purchased a pair of rp 400 m's for my a/v system and fell for the Klipsch sound. Thought I would try some floor standers. After some research (consumer & you tube reviews) I landed on the rp-8000F ll's I couldn't be happier. They play nice with my room's wonky acoustics. I've got them fairly close to front wall with no unwanted effects either. I listen to all genres of music and feel that these speakers cover them all well. Low level listening dynamics are excellent too.

Klipsch RP - 8000f ii vs. SVS Prime Pinnacles
Tim from Sn Jun Batsta, CA on 4/24/2023
Bought these to compare to a pair of SVS Prime Pinnacles. The Prime Pinnacles are a very nice speaker. They sound good and look great. I'd say they are a more mature speaker. Laid back and smooth. Comparably, the Klipsch RP-8000f ii's are louder, with more pronounced base and crisper highs. To me, the Klipsch are more lively, exciting and fun than the Prime's. But, to be honest the look of the Prime's are more appealing. More compact and attractive. Their lines are more angular and modern than the traditional boxy design of the Klipsch. Also, I'm not crazy about the upward tilt of the Klipsch although I'm sure some will like this design feature. Bottom line, Prime's look better and sound very good but the Klipsch's are more exciting and fun to listen to whether it be for music or movies.

Jaime from Hacienda Hts, CA on 1/16/2023
Wow! Upgraded dedicated theater room to 7.2.4 and using these babies as my Fronts being fed by a dedicated amp with up to 200 w per channel. These things sound clear and crisp being fed by the amp, no distortion whatsoever even when I tested how high I could turn it up before the wife yelled to turn it down. After room correction and some positioning practice to get the best sound at my primary position these things are dialed; like mentioned in other posts I did end up toeing in the speaker to get the cleanest sound - at least in my opinion.

Huge upgrade to my Jamo S809s. Much bigger and heavier than expected. I understand Klipsch has a rep for "bright" sounding speakers, but these are warm. Thankfully I was able to keep my Sony STR DN1080 receiver to run these bad boys. I have a dual sub setup and had to lower the gain on one of them since these can carry some of the low end load. Very satisfied, so far.

Really nice... if you add a subwoofer.
Troy from Ft Wayne, IN on 12/25/2022
I waited about a month to review these. I was initially disappointed with them. Coming from a pair of Cerwin Vega VE15s these came nowhere close to the bass. Not bad for 8 inch woofers but I figured I would need to get used to the sound of new equipment. I also felt they were a little bright and needed to break in a bit. Overall they weren't bad but I decided to add a subwoofer to them. This was the missing piece. After throwing a sub into the mix everything sounded excellent. I decided to go for broke and throw in a second sub to balance out the sound and eliminate the dead spots. I spent a bit more than I originally intended to but the sound meets my expectations in every way now. If you're happy with these without a sub then great but I highly recommend at least 1. They look really nice with the covers off but the cat will keep me leaving them on. I bi-wired them and I do feel they sound a little clearer that way. People can argue all they want about whether it is a waste of time and money but I am happy with the results. I noticed the amp also runs cooler that way so no reason to change it. The construction seems very solid.
Pros: A very solid nice looking speaker.
Cons: Needs a subwoofer to round out the tone.

Love the Klipsch RP-8000F II just received my new Marantz Cinema 50 and brought the Klipsch RP-502S II as well the sound is unreal, the RP-8000 replace my Klipsch RP-280 the up-grade is nice.
Pros: The Mid-range and tweeters sound nice
Cons: The bass is a little soft.

Audio review of an inexperienced audiophile wannabe.
Jason from Saint Charles, MO on 12/12/2022
I am running these as my front left and right off of just an Onkyo Tx Nr6100. I was concerned about the receivers ability to make these sound great without an additional amplifier but because of the sensitivity of these things, they sound amazing! At times it feels like a subwoofer would be overkill because of the bass output but then at times, at lower volume, I appreciate having the subwoofer to help. Overall, very good speakers even with just an average receiver powering them.
Pros: Plays loud and clean with terrific bass output.
Cons: None.

Can't be beat at this price point or even higher
Michael from Trophy Club, TX on 12/5/2022
Best bang for the buck in tower speakers. Yes, they get loud but also come alive at more moderate levels. I'm driving them with and older Onkyo receiver with 85W per channel and that's more than enough to get the desired base response. The highs are clear and distinct without being fatiguing.
Pros: Sound great. On par with speakers costing twice as much.
Cons: The Bi-amp jumper has bifurcated connectors which makes it a little finicky to wire up as the jumper wants to fall off in the process. A ring connector or solid bar would have been nice. However, the speaker connections accept banana plugs so that will take care of that. A tiny nit pick in an otherwise fabulous speaker. Oh, and they are huge! Not too much of a problem in a big room. Dim the lights for movie night and they fade away.

Everything about the Crutchfield experience and the RP-8000F II is spot on. Crutchfield made it easy and the speakers made an instant improvement over my 20 plus year old equipment. Thanks to both Klipsch and Crutchfield.

Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-8000F II
Earl from Griffin, GA on 11/10/2022
Great speakers. Replaced an 11 year old pair of klipsch RB-61 II. The Rb-61 were nice. Handled clean power like a champ. (NAD C 356BEE) But I gotta say the RP-8000F II are real eye openers. More mids -smoother highs and nice Round bass. The RP-8000s wider sound dispersion really surprised me. I've had these a week / will take a little time and experimenting with placement to get the most out of them.

Amazing speakers
Crutchfield customer from MISSOURI on 9/5/2022
These speakers sound amazing! The bass response is fantastic and of course the mids and highs are exactly what you would expect from Klipsch. I am using a Marantz PM8006 for the power source and it's a perfect combination for my ears!! Crutchfield was amazing through the whole process!! If you are on the fence about these speakers just order them you will not be disappointed!! Thank you Crutchfield!!

I have had the 600m bookshelf for a few years now and love them my friend has the 8000f model and I fell in love with the previous model and thought let me upgrade to the new model and the difference between them is a good change more refined and small but for the better the extra port on the back allows for a more airy and clear soundstage and the bass is better the inner bracing also makes a difference in separation the speakers are amazing and worth every penny

Mistaken Spec
Guest from Kent, WA on 5/18/2022
The specs here are wrong. Per Klipsch's website the older RP8000F Frequency response was 32-25KHz. This speaker's FR is 35-25KHz so it does not dig as low as the old one per the specs. This seems to be wrong in many places across the web but hopefully Klipsch's own site got it right.
