Tight fit on Corolla 2007
Matthew from COLONIAL HGTS, VA on 5/10/2025
2007 Toyota Corolla
They are clean speakers but pretty power hungry meaning you'll lose some volume going in a factory stereo setup. There's probably nothing better in this price and they replaced 19 year old speakers so they sound amazing. The photo shows crossover location but I had to move it 4 inches up because the door wouldn't close.
Pros: Cost
Cons: Large crossover

Meh.. is my descriptive word of choice.
David from California on 7/16/2024
2005 Scion xB
Build quality is pretty meh. Materials are meh. Mids are nonexistant and muddy. Has mid bass and an overbearing tweeter. Don't ask me how, but the SO 6.5's sound much better in the mid range clarity department. I can sorta fix the tweeters, or just replace them with a 2"-4" coaxials and make a jimmy rigged 3 way. The woofers though... are pretty hopeless. Idk If I got defects or what, but the 6.75's sound like a subwoofer without the subwoofer... just bleaeahehaehahe in the mid range, it's quiet and muddy. Mid bass is totally fine, actually more than I would ever expect from a 6.5-6.75" speaker... seems these are geared towards people who guage speaker quality by how much bass it can output. They will handle rated rms power and seem to not mind too much. I came into these speakers with low expectations, but hopeful, alas even with deadening/foam surrounds/dsp. I don't even want to listen to them. I have a $20 blutooth speaker that does songs more justice than these guys. Tweeter is very clear, albiet a bit bright and it definitely gets into high end frequencies. sooo I guess my opinion is that for cheap... sure. But you could also pick up some bargin bin Jbls for even a few bucks less so Value where? 100% honestly I don't think I have ever heard worse mid range from a driver in this size range. I have a $15 Metra coaxial that has better mids... I am genuinely curious is defect in some way 0_o cuz 6.5s sound fine and as you would expect. The 6.75s Hard Pass. 6.5's solid 3.
Pros: Tweeter clarity. Mid bass. Power handling. Price....
Cons: Build/Material Quality. Midrange clarity. Crossover size, but we all know that thing is ridiculous. Price....

Pros: Crystal clear sound. Easy install to the factory wiring. Unbeatable price

Nice budget speakers
Bryce from Acton on 4/29/2024

I paired these with a sony xms400d, and these sound really good! It's a VAST improvement to my stock speakers in my 2014 Subaru Legacy, which isn't a very high bar tbh. Bass is surprisingly good. I've never upgraded a car stereo before, but I recommend everyone to try it to an older vehicle. Along with a new headunit with carplay, it really breathed new life in my oldish car. I'm hooked to car audio, I think I might try a more expensive set in the future to see if there is a noticeable difference. 5/5!
Pros: bass, vocals

Wanted an inexpensive set of components for my car. I drive it to and from work. At first I was not to impressed with the speakers. Although I was able to mount the tweeter back into the factory location. The set is amplified. I have a pioneer head unit with the sync app and that's the eq I tuned it with. Again it sounded ok but not great. After a couple months of disappointing sound I was intending to replace them with a more expensive set but I decided to retune the stereo not through the app but on the stereo itself. Holy cow. That tune woke these things up. Very impressed with the sound. Nice bass response good mid miss and highs. These speakers work really well. You have to tune them correctly. Excellent product.

I've had JL's C2 and C5, as blasphemous as this may sound, they're not much better than these speakers (no sound deadening). The tweeters fit my stock location, I had no issues with the crossovers and the woofers are still breaking in. They sound awesome for the value, and i recommend them for non audiophiles looking to save a buck.
Pros: Clear sound, compares well to other big name brands "budget speakers"
Cons: The installation process is pretty tedious, especially if you've never installed components before.

Sound Ordnance P-67CB fitted to Focus ST
Eric Michael from Sacramento, CA on 7/14/2022
2016 Ford Focus
Good speakers for the price, with speaker adapters they fit perfect. Now my install is tad different than other ST owners as mine is ST3, so with a Sony AMP and built in DSP I had to play with install set up. Fronts for now I am not using the cross over as those speaker wires come from AMP, rears were different, all wires went to woofer then feed tweeter as the rear has built in filters for mids and highs. I tried first without crossover, full sound stage went to mids, so I installed the crossover and it sounded good. So its been at least a week+ and like any new speaker with rubber surround it can take up to 40 hours to break in. The stock Ford speakers also had rubber surround but really thin, Sound Ordnance speakers were twice thickness. I'm probably around 10 hours and they are now starting to work better for mids, tweeters right off were 100% improvement, love silk tweeters as they are smooth and clear. Seems like everyday speakers are sounding little better and happy with purchase. So I think these are rated at 88db @ 1 watt but I would have liked to get into the low 90's so I can get high volume sooner and may better mid base but then the price almost doubles and at this time this set for the little cost works for me.
Pros: low price, quality product, clear and smooth tweeters, good mids
Cons: if the DB @ 1 watt was higher like low 90's would awesome.

This is a straightforward installation up front and there's plenty of room to mount the crossovers. Tweeters fit the factory location with minimal effort by bending the factory clips back and pushing them into place. The back doors required a little bit of ingenuity to install components, but you will thank yourself in the long run. They provide a much cleaner sound. There's plenty of room to mount the tweeter to the door just above the woofer and you can use a small bit to drill out the holes on the factory speaker grill so that it looks 100% factory. Pushing the 4 corners with the factory 8" ford head unit and an Alpine KTA-450 with the crossover set at 60hz. The setup pushes a very clean and balanced sound. Throw in the Kicker HS10 and you'll have a system that B&O owners can only dream about.

2006 Subaru Forester
Good for the money. I installed these in my 06 Subaru Forester and it was pretty quick and easy. The sound improvement is huge but that's in part because the OEM speakers I replaced turned out to be completely blown out with no part of the surround connected to the cone anymore, so yeah these P-67CBs sound great! I didn't have tweeters in the doors before so used the angled surface mounts that came with the kit and they worked just fine. The XOs are ridiculously large so finding a place to securely mount them in the door cavity can be a challenge, they could have given an extra foot or two on all the supplied wires to help with that. Tweeters are bright and the bass is fine, spec sheet says they go down to 40hz and that's adequate for my needs with an aftermarket Car Play head unit not putting out more than 30 watts/channel.
Pros: good amount of hardware supplied 3 mounting options for tweeters
Cons: big XO wires could be longer

Thumbs up for OEM replacement!
PATRICK from Twin Falls, ID on 8/28/2021
2002 Volkswagen Beetle
I used this in my 2002 Beetle Monsoon System. In my system the impedance was different in different locations. So my dash speakers matched the tweeter impedance but the door woofers did not match (4 ohm replacement on a 2 ohm OEM) The result was an imbalance of loudness. It took some work to find the right settings to balance of settings to compensate. Crutchfield does not recommend because it is not a direct drop-in solution, and they need to minimize returns. You have to be willing to put in the effort and take your lumps. I made some heavy mods to the original door speaker to create a mount for this oversized speaker for this location. The OEM tweeter mounting was also modded to mount in the dash location. Dash speakers OEM are 4 ohm each (I installed SO 3 1/2 speakers next to the tweeter to complete the dash speaker upgrade). Door OEM speakers and rear passenger OEM speakers are 2 ohms each. Installing 4 ohm replacements cause volume to be significantly quieter. I had to shift the balance to the rear about 80% to reach balanced output. The result is all sound is accurate and I can crank to MAX volume with no distortion (that was a shock). The volume level still goes higher than I would ever play it, but I can tell it is significantly less volume than originally. Bass is handled by door speaks and needed to be boosted. Crossovers were not used. So in conclusion, this speaker is great for an OEM amp (200 watts total Monsoon) and does not break the bank.
Pros: Works well with OEM amps Many mounting solutions included Clear sound
Cons: Published specs are incomplete No professional/semi professional independent tests/reviews on YouTube

I thought they would sound ok without any external amplification but they sound way better and so much clearer than stock. The crossover is a bit on the large side and I suggest securing it with more than Velcro (used one rated for 10 lbs and it still moved). Other than that I love them and used them in all 4 doors. Car is a 2021 Kia Forte GT (w/o Harmon Kardon). I like Harmon's products but at this price I would not pay for the premium sound as these are worth it. I plan to upgrade to a 5 channel and add a sub in the future and am sure they will perform beyond expectations.

I'm very pleased with the sound of these component speakers. My main goal was to improve the sound in my Venza, use the stock head unit, and not spend a ton of money. I wasn't sure what to purchase, so I elected to call Crutchfield, and Willy recommend these speakers. After ordering, I did some additional research on how Toyota wires their front door and dash speakers in parallel. I had to purchase an additional tweeter wire harness (to allow everything to be plug and play), plastic tweeter adapters, speaker gasket, 11 sq ft of Soundskins sound deadening, and foam rings to surround each woofer. Finding the tweeter wire harness was the most difficult part. I believe I had to purchase a 2016+ Tacoma tweeter harness. The installation wasn't bad, but it took longer to sound deaden the doors. It was worth all the effort.

My dad whose been installing for over 20 years was impressed by them. I highly recommend if you give them the juice they need.
Pros: Clean and crisp!
Cons: If you don't have an amp they dont really sound that much different then factory.

Got these to replace factory speakers in my Tacoma and they sound so bad I will be putting the factory speakers back in. I lost all my mid-range and base with these speakers. They are so bad that I have checked them twice to make sure they were wired up correctly and that the main speakers were working, not just the twitters.

Good sound, good quality
Eddie from Iron Station, NC on 8/29/2018
2001 Toyota Sequoia
Great speakers for the price. They aren't "high end" so don't expect it, but driven off of my factory radio these components replaced my factory components which were completely shot, and sound great. Decent bass response and made of good quality.
Pros: Good sound and quality materials
Cons: Tweeter mounting is not solid. Would like to have a tapped hole for mounting a custom bracket. Holes in surround not large enough or rather glued in properly to accept screws without modifying (making larger) to avoid deforming the surround when mounting.

These sound great for such a reasonably priced set. I'm using them in a budget setup in my truck. The crossovers were a little large, but not unreasonable. I'm driving them with their recommended wattage and the gain set correctly and they sound great. Very pleased for they money I spent
Pros: Very reasonably priced for third performance
Cons: Crossover a little large

Purchased this second set for a second vehicle, as an upgrade to the OEM radio, don't want thieves seeing a different head unit, coupled to the SO amp, SO rear door coax speakers and Clarion equializer, the OEM radio is working above its paygrade. You hear but don't see a thing
Pros: Great price, very good sound(not audiophile grade), easy to install
Cons: They get "tired" after a while

Easy installation with all components needed. Sound range is good, with tweeter providing good highs. Midrange has decent sound, partially because I'm running off a factory head unit. These are in addition to a Sound Ordnance powered sub, which complements the components nicely.
Pros: Installation was really easy, especially with the Crutchfield added components. Sound is improvement over my factory speakers.
Cons: None so far

Un sacré bon achat
Jacques from Champlain, NY on 11/23/2017
2007 Toyota Corolla
I am an end user . I do not know anything about the electronics, the mechanics behind all this. I love music . I listened to all kinds of music mostly Soul, R&B, Caribbean. IMO these Speakers lack bass and I will have to complement them with a powered sub down the. Line. Over all I am satisfied.

You get what you pay for.......
wyatt from Livingston, TX on 4/8/2017
I only rate these speakers speakers so high because, well, I really don't know how to rate these speakers. For the money, they do what they say they will do, that is make sound, and lots of it. Crossovers are a beast, just way to big, and they scream cheap. On one setting tweeters are too bright, on the other they are almost muted. Tweeter mounts also scream out cheap, but, that's what they are. Imaging is terrible, cant really find an answer for that. Classic case of "you get what you pay for". Having said all that, I don't think these are bad speakers, they are what they are. Entry level, budget, component speakers. Coolest thing about them is the little dog tag and decal you get with them. In my honest opinion (35 years of car installations worth), if you are at all serious about your sound, spend a few extra dollars for an established name brand. If your just wanting to test the component speaker water, well again, for a few extra dollars................like I said, I don't think these are bad speakers, their just not that great.
Pros: cost
Cons: cost.....maybe?

Great Sound on a Budget
Charles from Newark, DE on 10/10/2016
1998 Nissan Pathfinder
I used this component set for the front stage of a low budget build in my teenage son's 1998 Pathfinder. I didn't want to spend a lot because it's almost a 20 year old vehicle and I was funding this project! I chose Sound Ordnance because they had good reviews, an outstanding 3 year warranty, and were very inexpensive, but yet still looked to be well designed with decent materials... plus Crutchfield's free installation accessories & lifetime support. However, being used to installing much more expensive car audio equipment, my expectation for sound quality was just something that sounded half-decent. Wow... was I surprised with the sound that came out of these things! Just remember a good system design along with proper installation is always critical to good sound. So, if you seal & dampen your doors well and adequately power them in the appropriate frequency range, you'll be absolutely astonished at the sound you can get from a set of speakers costing seventy bucks!
Pros: Very inexpensive, good design & materials, long warranty and nice sound quality.
Cons: Only thing I'm not crazy about is the chromed plastic finish of the tweeters' flush mount trim rings. My son is okay with it, but I'll probably sand & paint to match.
