iDatalink HRN-HRR-FO1 Vehicle-specific Harness
Brian from Los Gatos, CA on 2/12/2025
2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty
This type of harness saves a LOT of time and uncertainty. I previously used the older version with no direct radio harness plug, so soldering (or crimping) dozens of wires. But this one takes that away - simple! Had to add in some splices for external amplifier turn on and backup camera power, but Crutchfield advisors really helped to clarify which ones to use. One thing to note, for my 2008 F-250, the instructions were incomplete. Initially installed following all directions, but the steering wheel buttons and vehicle info did not work. Simple fix by plugging in the 4-pin iDatalink cable and the OBD2 harness. Connectors are decent quality and easy to de-pin for more professional modifications/additions to the wires in the harness. 5-stars for the product, just keep in mind the instructions may not be complete/accurate.

2014 Ford F150 Floating Pioneer Install
Gregory Paul from Laurinburg, NC on 10/10/2024
2014 Ford F-150 STX
First, I am as green as they come when it comes to installing head units! Crutchfield offered everything I needed to install a Pioneer DMH-WC6600NEX which included Floating Kit and iDatalink interface to retain my steering wheel functions plus in my newly acquired 2014 Ford F150 STX Supercrew. Following all the instructions provided, and there was a mountain of them, I was able to install the whole kit and kabootle in about 7 hours, which included installing a backup camera! The backup camera was the hardest for me. I highly recommend iDatalink harnesses and Crutchfield. If I could do it, anyone could!

Well worth the money for your time
Wayne from Louisville, KY on 10/6/2024
2010 Ford Explorer
This harness made the process relatively easy to connect to the factory connectors. And I'm sure all the extra cables were for options not installed in my vehicle, but a simple diagram might have been helpful. My only other suggestion would be to add a pigtail connector to the ACC power for an easy option to power an after market backup camera. I was forced to splice into the cable and figure out which wire was the right one. Overall it's worth the cost so you don't have to cut and splice into the factory wiring. Will save you a lot of time and is convenient.
Pros: Time saver No need to cut factory wiring
Cons: No power lead provided for optional accessories (backup cam)

Awful written instructions, but Crutchfield saved the day
Karl from Rustburg, VA on 9/17/2024
2009 Ford E Series
Product works great once I figured out the install. The written instructions for it were awful. But with Crutchfield's stellar phone support and one call to iDatalink's technical support, it all worked out. This is the third radio I have installed in recent years. This one was the most challenging, but still successful. I will never go anywhere else for this type of product.
Pros: Quality customer support
Cons: Awful written instructions.

There seems to be only 1 issue-the obd 2 plug does not send gauge readouts to the JV C receiver in my 2008 Mustang Bullitt. The plug only has 2 pins-2&10. Bus + and Bus - There are no ground or power pins which the connector needs to function. Is an appropriate connector available? Thanks, Joe Masselli

Only one wire!
Matt from Temecula, CA on 8/26/2024
2012 Ford Expedition
This wire harness made everything plug and play! This was a life saver. The radio install took two days but this harness cut the time significantly! The sales team took the time to help me put a cart together with all the equipment needed and then the tech support team at Crutchfield helped me put it all together. I had one wire that was for Sync that took a lot of help to get done and 1/2 the first day. But thanks to the tech support at Crutchfield we got it done. Thank you all!
Pros: Plug and play
Cons: Sync wire, this was a pain to get to. Tech support helped me get to the wire and connect it.

EASY plug and play. There is one male end that does not fit a female on the vehicle; in terms of the plastic connection. The wiring plugs all lined up though. So, you can get it plugged together, no problem, but it's arguably not super secure. Just tucked it into a seemingly safe place, and all is working great.

Took me a while to get all of the connections sorted, but I understand when you're trying to address the entire used car market. Once I got everything connected , I now have more information on my Pioneer than the stock F-250 stereo. You also need the Maestro box unless you want to solder on 12 RCA jacks for your speakers and other equipment. Highly recommended.
