Made my life so easy!

I love how everything is connected and working off my radio! This harness made my install pretty painless. I really thought I was going to spend half a day installing my new Alpine head unit. Nope, took about 30 minutes! I crimped maybe 5 wires and the rest was plug and play!
Pros: Plug and Play Color Coded The instructions are super easy to follow

Everything plugged right in, it worked great except for the stock sub. The stock sub not working wasn't really an issue for me as I was installing a new amp to it anyway. I may have missed something on the wiring, but the steering wheel controls work perfect as long as the module is programmed correctly.
Pros: No cutting wires Plug and play

Root is awesome

Fit perfect after getting some help. Root was one of the best to help with installing this. We were super confused when we started. By the end we were super happy with the overall results!
Pros: Root needs a raise
Cons: None

Three of the four pigtails were not even used in my car, so the install was a bit confusing. It did not allow for retaining the reverse camera, which was one of the two reasons that I purchased it in the first place

Works well even with a crappy radio!
Aleisha from Madison, WI on 8/17/2023
Works beautifully even with an off brand radio. I'll be replacing the radio soon because it's crap but I'm surprised this could even get the radio to function and I'm sure this will work well with a quality radio.

Did the job!
David from Sarasota, FL on 10/24/2022
2014 Mitsubishi Outlander
Connected right up to my Mitsubishi and facilitated the use of steering wheel audio controls for my aftermarket head unit (using the Maestro module). I utilized Crutchfield's service to connect this harness to the main harness, as well as make all main harness wiring connections, and highly recommend the service to make things easier/quicker.
Pros: Nice to keep the steering wheel controls
Cons: None

Highly recommended for a seamless trouble-free installation!

I purchased this along with the iDatalink Maestro RR Interface Module in order to install a JVC KW-M560BT receiver and retain the OEM steering wheel controls in a 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. The quality of the items is outstanding, and I had them installed and fully functional with the OEM factory steering wheel controls in less than an hour's time. The IDatalink website and instructions are first rate. iDatalink supplies you with every conceivable connector and cabling that you may need for your specific vehicle regardless of what you do or do not have. You use what it is required by your vehicle and don't use what is not. Other than snapping the supplied plugs/sockets into the iDatalink Maestro RR Interface Module and the vehicles OEM sockets/plugs, the only other requirement is connecting the remaining wires to the aftermarket receiver wires. I found the Posi-Twist connectors perfect for the task of connecting bare wire ends together and highly recommend them.
Pros: Included is every possible plug, socket, connector and cable that you could possibly need regardless of what the OEM equipment configuration is of your specific vehicle and the aftermarket receiver. Use what you need and don't use what you don't. The IDatalink website and instructions are first rate.
Cons: Based on your vehicle's OEM equipment configuration and that of the aftermarket receiver, some may find the iDatalink wiring diagram a bit intimidating at first and I found it best to first determine what you won't be using in the installation and only then determine what you will be using.
