Product good, documentation not so good
mikehd from LEBANON, OR on 8/4/2024
2018 Subaru Outback
Very helpful to have a install ready harness to speed up the process. However, more attention to documentation is needed to ensure the customer isn't confused by what is received vs what is documented. However, all is well that ends well.
Pros: Faster install Professionally built Literally plug-n-play
Cons: Physical configuration didn't' match documented configuration. Had to spend several hours waiting tech support to get it resolved.

iDatalink rSU3 with Maestro RR2
Mark from Hamilton, OH on 6/22/2024
2019 Subaru Outback
the idatalink rSU3 for the Subaru Outback works as specified and was easy to install with the Maestro RR2 unit. Instructions were thorough showing all of the needed connections and what will not get connected. The Crutchfield instructions were also thorough with the radio to the harness connection. So there were two references that could be used. I've had no problems connecting the Maestro RR2 to my cell phone app to apply changes to the unit.
Pros: easy to install works as designed

Overwhelming at first. SOOOOOO MANY CABLES!!! I know that I would not have been able to complete this project without the help of this harness. All cables were labeled and fit properly. Thank you.
Pros: Neatly put together including cable management
Cons: I wish instructions were clearer.

Clean
Mark from Hagerstown, MD on 8/13/2023
2019 Subaru Crosstrek
Worked well for my application in a 2019 crosstreck with the stock 6" screen not the big one. Pretty clean harness all around I used it in conjunction with the RR2 interface module and once I was able to print off the instructions it was 3/4 plug n play and 1/4 actually wiring to the new head unit (radio) itself.
Pros: Clean harness has nice obd2 connector
Cons: Wish obd2 connector came with pin out to hardwire so my port remains open for other things but I can always figure it out later

okey, the harness itself is great. makes installation of a very complicated installation easier. there's a couple things that aren't well documented though. when removing the OEM subaru stereo, you need to remove the 2 boxs which are also attached to the same bracket as the stereo and keep them installed by stuffing them down in the dash cavity, 1 is black and around 4"x6" and it controls the starlink telemetry system and crash assistance system, it's also hard wired to the front speakers, without it there's no sound from the front speakers going out from the headunit. it might be possible to cut and splice out the needed wires but much more complicated. the 2nd box, is alittle silver box about the size of a pack of cigarettes. you need it. it is the brains for your FOBs remote lock/unlock system. just unbolt it and shove it down in the dash also.
Pros: Makes a very complex wiring job 100x easier
Cons: instructions aren't as clear as they could be

iDatalink rSU3 Vehicle-specific Harness
Crutchfield customer from Alstead, NH on 2/8/2021
This cable harness was fantastic! All connectors mated exactly with the car. It is a little think and stiff, so getting it buried in the dash enough to make room for the stereo was a bit of a challenge, but if you're creative enough, it all fits fine.
