THE ESCORT MAX CAM RADAR DETECTOR.THE MAESTRO Rr2. So far so good it is in the dash. I added the rear back up camera. And it works with the radio. good enough. I did my own wiring. my wiring was huge hard to fit behind the dash. So now i am after the specific harness stuff. I did My wiring correct.

David from Hollywood, MD on 6/19/2024
This makes all the difference. Plug and play compared to splicing each individual wire. I only had to splice in the reverse interruption camera wire. They make it specific to your car and radio. This harness, along with iDatalink HRN-HRR-NI1 allowed me to make the connections from my 2016 Nissan Rogue to the Maestro Rr interface so that I kept all of the functionality of my camera and steering wheel controls. Using the Maestro interface and these harnesses only required me to splice two connections together from the harnessses to the radio - the purple reverse wire and the green park wire. While in reverse, about the time it takes for Apple CarPlay kick in, the camera goes off. To make it come back on, I have to push the "seek up" switch on the steering wheel.

Best solution for Kenwood DMX7709S
Ankit from Bristol, PA on 11/21/2022
This is by far best solution .I was skeptical to do the harness .. spend on soldering iron and shrink wrap . This $10 adapter is way to go just plung and play . This adapter converts standard TO2 harness for Kenwood stereo in my case my stereo is Kenwood DMX7709S. NOTE : THIS WILL NOT CONVERT YOUR TOYOTA FACTORY HARNESS . THIS IS FOT ONLY FROM MAESTRO TO2 to Kenwood stereo . I am attaching the pictures as i wanted to see but couldn't find anywhere . Hope it will help someone .
Pros: Save you $ from soldering and shrink wrap. Not to mention time you will spend to re do the harness .
Cons: There are no cons I could think of.

Highly recommend this harness. It's plugs into the back of JVC or Kenwood receivers and then other end plugs into the idatalink RR module. I had to splice just 2 wires: reverse and park.
Pros: Saves a lot time and possibly money spent on wire strippers/crimpers and connectors.
Cons: If you're on a budget then you do not need this. You will just have to splice all the wires between your receiver and idatalink module yourself. Only works for JVC or Kenwood receivers.
