Another great product from Crutchfield!!

Bought these as part of an entire remote start package, with the help of tech advisor Shay we were able to install the remote start into our daughter's truck in a weekend. Shay is VERY familiar with all things remote start and literally walked us through the installation process. I swear Crutchfield is the absolute BEST in all things tech and I will always buy from them because of their quality merchandise and top notch tech advisors. The fobs are designed to work for up 3000ft, and so far work excellently. The fobs have a nice feel to them and aren't heavy or bulky.

Nice remotes, great range!

Very thin, non bulky case. Buttons have a nice feel about them. Not cheap feeling. Like the ability that you can control two vehicles with one remote if I ever need to. Range is super nice as long as you mount the receiver up high in the dash. It does not need to be visible.

it will not last

The iDatastart system is great but the remotes are trash the key ring brakes off so easily. i got this system and had to relapse the remotes 3 times at $35 to $40. it cant be glued because the way it comes apart.

2011 Ram 2500 - 6.7 Cummins

The installation is actually simple. It's the installation code instructions that are lacking simplicity. Once installed the remotes work exactly like they are supposed to. I have not tried to see just how far away I can get. But, I've tested the range for what I would actually be using them. I am able to be in the back side of my house in bedrooms and the remote still starts the truck. The remotes are small and the plastic is thin and lite weight. They feel a little cheap. I haven't had them long enough to determine if they hold up or not, although I expect they will be just fine. Just don't expect them to be as heavy as a factory remote. Which is not necessary a bad thing either.

idatastart Remote Start - Scion FRS

idatastart control and remote kit perform as advertised. idatastart does not make a T-harness for Scion FRS so i had to use their universal harness kit. Wiring diagram needs more clarification and better definitions but Customer Support led me quickly to confirmation of suspected problem. All good in the end and would highly recommend this product but know T-harness means NO splicing which will make installation a LOT easier !

Very happy with these remotes. They are small and light, but feel well made. I prefer them to any OEM remote I've used to date for how they feel. Range is astounding in outdoor testing.

Quality remote kit

This kit was bought to add remote functionality for my vehicle. They work great. Distance seems to be pretty decent and I don't find that I get too many accidental presses. My kit didn't show where to plug it into the module(there is no instructions with anything iDatastart has). But I finally figured it out.

Good remote

Works just fine, it's a remote. Button "click" feels solid. Documentation is good. Range is acceptable for me, but the 3000ft range is questionable, I assume it's 3000ft with clear line of sight. Realistically, you'll never have a clear line, unless you live in the dessert. A idatastart remote is required for some vehicles. Although the factory remote on my 2014.5 Camry would start the car (press lock 3 times), it would not unlock the car after it was started remotely. By design, the Toyota's disable the factory remote once the car is started. Thank you Crutchfield, for notifying me of this limitation before shipping the remote start.
