The ADS-THR-HA2 wire harness made the installation of the CMHCXA0 a breeze. It only required 3 discrete wires to be wired in. Everything worked on the initial wiring. I did have a few questions, which were promptly answered by the support team.

Pros: Easy install.

Cons: The wiring schematics weren't clear and required clarification from the support team.

This is such a comfort. Plus, it's good for your car/truck to warm it up before driving! Crutchfield was there with Tech Support when I needed it too! (Thanks Eli!) During guiding me thru the module flashing, we discovered that MY PC was switching from Windows Explorer to Microsoft Edge automatically. THEN, after clearing that hurdle and installing the kit, I found my car would crank over, but not start. After calling Eli again (I was skeptical), he apologized and asked if he could return my call. Well, shortly thereafter, he did and asked that I try to auto-start my car with the key in the ignition. It started, much to my amazement, and he quickly determined I had a defective module, that it was not sending a signal to the immobilizer! Wow, I thought, what are the odds? After sending me a new module and now knowing how to overcome the PC flashing nightmare, in a matter of minutes my Honda now has Remote Start!! Thank You Crutchfield!

Pros: Outstanding Technical Support, Fantastic Customer Service

Cons: I cannot treat Eli to lunch!!

Time saver, poor documentation

Made a difficult install much easier, but still struggled. Many cables are unused, which was documented in only most cases. There was at least one wire not listed on the wiring diagram at all. There's plenty of wire, but the main, large harness left a lot of extra that made covering the steering wheel difficult. Getting the full instructions required an extra call to Crutchfield because the website to get more info was listed incorrectly on the instructions that came with it. Even then, Crutchfield had to email me instructions not available at the manufacturer's website. Expect to solder or otherwise splice wires; this is not a full plug kit. I would certainly buy this kit again due to how much soldering it does eliminate.

Pros: saved a lot of time

Cons: must call Crutchfield for additional instructions documentation could be better lots of extra cable, which gets in the way

The overall experience of purchasing the iDatastart was really pleasant . This harness plugs and plays really easy to the iDatastart module really easy, but you need to splice into your vehicles harness. If you have enough patience to tackle this project yourself its not that bad. Just be ready to twist your back in a pretzel and have a bottle of Advil ready for after. Crutchfield has your back all the way. I was greeted with a call prior of my package being shipped. They asked questions about my vehicle's current system that is installed. which was very surprising for me i have never received a call like this and reassured me that I made the right purchase. For the Honda Element this harness was not that hard to install. The instruction were easy enough to understand once you understand what you are looking for. Overall I am very happy with it. If you don't have the patience of have back problems I recommend a professional installer.

Pros: Easy enough for someone who has basic knowledge of vehicle electrical easy plug and play to module and few inline splicing to vehicle harness

Cons:

I used this T-harness for my 2003 Honda Accord EX-L V6 Coupe when installing iDatastart CMHCXA0 HC. Honestly, if it was not for this harness, I probably would not have installed remote start because there are so many wires to splice. With this harness, I only had to splice 6 wires. Remote start is working great.

Pros: Makes life easy

Cons: Price

The adapter harness was easy to install. After getting the covers off the steering column, it just plugged in to the OEM connectors. After that, I just had 4 connections to splice in under the dash and I was ready to go. I don't like splicing into the OEM wiring any more than absolutely necessary. Using this harness makes most of the connections needed simple and clean.

Pros: Just plug it in and go with minimal tapping into the OEM harness.

Cons: There were quite a few extra wires not needed for my installation, but I just tied them up out of the way.
