SVS SB-1000 Pro
Jeffrey from Shreveport, LA on 7/9/2025
Very good and linear bass. Responds even to very low bass. This sealed design does limit how much very low bass it can produce. The sound is very smooth. I have two since I love the 30 Hz bass. Th pair are incredible for a living room setting.

Getting older = buying nicer stereo equipment
Crutchfield customer from Mount Vernon, OH on 7/6/2025
I took the plunge, after many years as a budget stereo head (got my start in the mid-1990s), to buy a high quality subwoofer for 2-channel music use. I went straight to Crutchfield - the products are solid, the website (and mailed catalog) are great, and actual humans answer the phone. In that vein, I trusted the product review, including the Crutchfield team member's video. She's a beaut; per an earlier review, the subwoofer is better looking in real life. (Nice lacquer finish.). And the sound. Ahhhhh. All these years, I've been missing that attention to low-end sound frequencies - relying only on my (older Bose; decent) bookshelf speakers to carry the water. But this SVS SB-1000 provides a really solid sound, and doesn't get all bass-in-your-face-like. (Again, as a stereo head in the 1990s, it was: how much bass can I extract from my 100-watt JVC receiver to pack my dorm room with the sound of this Atlanta Bass-style rap cd? Can I make my friends' hair on their heads move?). This SVS SB-1000 is for grown ups - it completes the sound stage in my work-from-home office, moving the low frequencies without overdoing it (paired with brand new Crutchfield-procured KEF Q-1s). Excellent product.
Pros: Fits out-of-the-way, with a big sound.
Cons: The iPhone app isn't of much use unless you're tweaking past the preset LFE setting.

Powerful and versatile sub for home theater
Tom from Vancouver, WA on 6/17/2025
We bought the SVS SB-1000 Pro to replace a 15-year-old Velodyne subwoofer that was producing the acrid smell of deteriorating internal components (fire hazard?). The SVS was a welcome upgrade our existing home theater system with ample low-end punch to fill our great room, a large space, while being compact enough to fit into our A/V cabinet. This sub can be dialed to make the floor and your chest rumble, or it can be set to a more subtle sound enhancement level. We are happy with our purchase and feel the SVS SB-1000 Pro provides great value for the price.

Great value for the $$$!
Joshua from Upland, CA on 5/18/2025
I'm still tuning my system but this sub sounds great. I went from a 12" rear ported Polk powered sub to this SVS 10". This sub doesn't hit as hard as my Polk did, the sound is tight and precise which is exactly what I was looking for. So far its great for music, I have not tested with movies yet.
Pros: Bang for your buck
Cons: If you are looking to rattle the windows and tick off the neighbors with earth pounding bass, go for a bigger sub this will not do it for you.

Vitamin Bass for your system
Joseph from Athens, GA on 4/15/2025
This unit complements my Polk audio speakers nicely. You want your low end there but not to overpower your main speakers. My main interest is on music not so much home theater therefore a ported unit was not a priority. It is built like a tank and love the piano gloss finish. Setting up was easy and with the help of the app, making adjustments from your listening position was fantastic! You can set presets for your different music generas. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
Pros: Small footprint, well built, app controlled, a myriad of different adjustments to tailor your sound
Cons: Not ported might be a drawback if your main objective is home theater

Decent For Music. Go PB for Home Theater
Carl from Kapaau, HI on 2/11/2025
These tiny subwoofers are musically tight, immediate, and accurate for lower listening level demands and the app is helpful for setting all critical parameters. They sound quite good in smaller rooms, and at lower listening levels as their bass is immediate and goes undistorted unless you're trying to get good cinematic LFE out of them, in which case you should go for one or more PB-1000s or 2000s if they ship to you (they only ship 1000-series to my area due to size/weight/freight costs that Crutchfield will pay for). I ran two of these for my new HT buildout alongside 8" driver fronts, and they were underpowered but sounded accurate for music at conversational volumes. I'd recommend them for smaller tower fronts, small or medium rooms, and for music only. They simply cannot shake a deep LFE at reasonable listening levels without clipping, and don't respond nearly low enough (ignore the 19Hz marketing) for thunderous cinematic mastering from modern movies. I decided to keep my two to use in a preset 2 config, and added two PB-1000s as my main subs. When the Denon A10H goes on sale I'll alter my setup and throw in the SB-1000s for rear surrounds for more directional, less demanding surround bass while the front PB-1000s can maintain infrasonics all day long next to my towers. Overall, their price is inflated for the output, but perhaps reasonable for musical accuracy only. Fit and finish are good as any modern speaker will be. I hope that my feedback helps you choose
Pros: It's a very small cabinet, and the packaging is excellent ensuring that your sub will arrive undamaged. The SVS app is helpful for integrating one or more into your system. It's a very musically accurate subwoofer and dips low enough to round out a good set of fronts, or secondarily as a home theater setup using two of them for medium spaces as long as you don't need high output. They're otherwise very tight and accurate at lower listening levels.
Cons: It doesn't dig deep enough for a 14x16 home theater room, nor does it put out enough SPL for theater listening levels before it clips. The PB-1000 Pros absolutely destroy the SB version in SPL, LFE, and can also sound musically accurate by tapering their cabinet resonance down using the SVS app. The SB-1000 is nice for smaller and accurate sound systems for music listening, or for augmenting other subs in your setup. Note that the SVS app can have problems staying connected to more than one. CM

Amazing Sub (Maybe too good for apartment)
Michael from Vancouver, WA on 2/5/2025
Got this sub to pair with Kanto Tuk. This sub is smaller and more compact then I originally imagined but by no means lacks power. Live on the bottom floor of apartment complex and still had to significantly to dial back the bass to not annoy the neighbors. The killer feature really is the app though. Struggled to get it running as first but once paired you can adjust the sub setting from your listening position. No more going back and forth to the sub and listing position as you dial it in. The app amount of things you can control is also more then any other sub I've even see. Would suggest these to anyone looking for a quality sub.
Pros: Quality Bass App works great (once connected) Size
Cons: App connection

Absolute game changer for my current music only system. The SVS app makes this sub almost dummy proof. Hearing and feeling parts of my collection that I never new existed. From Steely Dan to Keb Mo to Diana Krall to classical masterpieces to Godsmack. It all sounds much better. I do not set it high for heavy thump...most of the time. I have an old but great system in my estimation. I bi amp Paradigm studio v2 100 speakers with two old Carver amps. I have a Rotel and older Sony ES CD player. I cannot believe that I waited this long since the addition of this sub is really incredible for a lot of music. Bass, cello, drums, keyboards, synthesizers all are crystal clear and beautiful. I was actually nervous about this adventure since I pictured loud and obnoxious sub in cars. This unit does not have to thump to sound great. Very reasonable price considering the massive upgrade to my system. It also is not very large and heavy. My speakers weigh 100 pounds each so 30 pounds seems very light. Give yourself a treat and try this!
Pros: Great value here. App is wonderful and allows good control from where you sit and listen.
Cons: My wife will see even less of me.

No More Fear....SB-1000 Pro is Here
Jack from Nashville, TN on 11/1/2024
I am a newbie in the home audio world, After a couple of years of building out my system, I really wanted to replace the cheap, muddy, thump machine of a sub I had. I've shied away because understanding the settings has been too daunting for me. This is why I love Crutchfield. I researched on my own and whittled it down to SVS or a much larger Klipsch. I got very good advice from Crutchfield and ultimately landed on this SVS. It's perfect for my use case, which is strictly music. The app is complex for a beginner, but I knew what I was getting into and really perfected the settings. This little thing puts out some tight, controlled excellent bass that really transformed my sound. Newbies...you can definitely conquer the world of subwoofers and I highly recommend this SVS.

Blown Away
Tim from Charlotte, NC on 10/3/2024
Using this in a 2 channel system with a Rotel Tribute amp with Klipsch RM600. (Rotel tribute CD, WiiM pro plus, Fluance RT 83) Goal was to improve fullness of music only no video. Sub hooked up thru the pre-out connections on the amp. I will preface by saying that I auditioned another 12" Sub a few months ago and was not impressed way too "boomy" and just not good. The SVS is the exact opposite. Right out of the box the improvement in base response was fantastic! and that is on default settings. With the SVS app I have been fine tuning this sub and it just simply comes alive and fully compliments to overall sound and does not overpower. Not only that but with the 3 preset saves on the software you can switch setups between sources for different needs. One setup for turntable listening another for my Tidal stream. Low volume or higher volume rocking this sub seams to handle everything without getting in the way. I am looking forward to really dialing this thing in over time. I have this system in my office/music room/man area, and now I think my system is complete. Bought this as an open box so saved a little coin but of course it came in perfect condition. Don't waste your time with cheaper subs, spend a little more and get the SVS that will make you smile about your excellent decision making!!

Great sound no slop
Jim from Monroe, ME on 9/1/2024
Well i bought these to boost up the svs prime pinnicals. It does well adding the lows at slightly above volume sound levels. It took some time to adjust it. Most of the adjustments was in the reciever. The app makes it nice to fine tune on different types of music such as bluesy tunes,Stapleton or Kenny Shepherd. Or classic rock such as Aerosmith or scorpions. For the money it boosts not zzzz pound. As the prime pinnicals sound much better as they get broke in. On a budget yes i recommend. Crutchfield and svs carry top of the line support of pros who speak clear and both were awesome with help setting everything up. 5 stars there too
Pros: Beautiful sound and look.

Great subwoofer. Know how to get the best from it..
Joseph from Wilson, NC on 8/7/2024
It is what they say it is. Good clean punchy deep bass. I have seen negative reviews, and I think I can account for them- you MUST allow the SB-1000 time to break in. Straight out of the box it made almost no sound whatsoever. It was three days of heavy use before it began to sound better, and six days before it was up to spec. When you get it, be patient, connect it up at a moderate volume level and then forget about it for a week. (You will still have plenty of return or warranty time, if needed.) Only then should you try to place and tune and calibrate. Oddly, there are no instructions that tell you to do this. The SVS app works well, but the whole point is to get the sound levels to where I am not constantly having to change things. Further, if your AVR is controlling the SW(s) there is not much to do with the app except turn the volume up or down. I was able to use Audyssey for either SW, but not with both. There are not that many things to adjust, and it was always going to be what my ear said anyway, but you might need to call Crutchfield for help if you are doing two SWs and you want to use the software. I got this as a second SW. I have a BIC that is ported enclosure (that I have been very happy with since I got it), but I wanted a sealed enclosure to be more precise for my music. I set the SB-1000 at ~ -15 dB for music. When I watch movies I leave SB-1000 at that level and also turn on the BIC to add more boom and shake.
Pros: Sound.

Great little subwoofer at a fair price.
Daniel from COTTONDALE, AL on 7/17/2024
This is my idea of what a subwoofer should be. It's clearly very high quality construction. It's also very easy to set up. For a 12 inch woofer, the footprint is small (which my wife likes.) You really don't know it's there until there's a very low bass note. I had some Klipsch RP-5000Fs that I decided to send back and get Heresy IVs instead, but while I had the RPs the blending was very good. Base is clean and strong - no muddiness or boom. Can't wait to see how it does with the Heresys when they arrive.

Superb!
Antonio from BARRIGADA, GU on 7/13/2024
I have owned many subs, Klipsch, Rel, Golden Ear, and Emo to name a few. Some of them cost 3 times more than this one. I have also owned an earlier gen SVS 1000. It was not the pro version. I purchased this SVS 100 pro specifically for my 2.0 music room. I am running Rotel separates with the Wharfedale 12.3 towers. First of all, as another reviewer said "the difference between this and the earlier gen model is substantial!" The pro version is rated at the same power but sounds deeper. Must be the 12" versus 10" driver and upgraded circuits. Whatever SVS did I can really hear it. Lol.. I gave my older models away. Bottom line-- this sub very powerful does not rattle or shake, and seamlessly blends with my towers. The louder I play it the better it sounds. The app took me a few, but now I love it for convenience! The SVS 1k pro brings no attention to itself, like some of my more expensive subs did. I cannot believe the price versus value of this sub, To me the 1k pro is an unbeatable subwoofer, that has an unbelievable price. Great job SVS!!!!! Home run guys. To Crutchfield thank you for still being the best in the business still making audio fun for guys like me!!!!!
Pros: Superb performance, at a great price. I love the app! (buy the iso feet item# 946SPSIS4P and a quality sub cable) Do not limit this sub from meeting its full POTENTIAL! It is a POWERHOUSE!!!!!!

My old subwoofer was not working properly , and after a very helpful conversion with Crutchfield associate Dante (thank you!) about replacing it with possibly a Klipsch (all my other conponents are Klipsch), he suggested a 14" sub from SVS. The price and performance seemed a great match, With some help I installed it yesterday, and noticed a subtle difference already. I feel I am going to be very satisfied with this sub; one cannot get this fine a product from much else that is out there. Kudos and thanks to Crutchfield for once again helping me solve my problem. SVS SB-1000 Pro
Daniel from Cottondale, AL on 7/2/2024
Not going to deny that when I first hooked it up, I was a bit disappointed. I have an Andover Spin Sub that does a decent job - but actually, it was giving me exaggerated lower mid bass, without really giving low bass. The SVS goes LOW, and it's unobtrusive. I tinkered with the controls, but pretty much let my receiver handle the settings through the LFS output. The SVS never calls attention to itself, but when there's a really low note, it's there. And it's tight, never flabby. Now that I've gotten used to it, I'm really enjoying it. And the size is great - takes very little space.
Pros: Unobtrusive, easy to set up, app is great, really small size, nice looking.
Cons: None that I can think of.

Called Crutchfield and Eugene helped me decide which subwoofer to purchase. Bought 2 SVS SB-1000 pro's, for 2 different 5.1 systems. One was easy to set up, basically plug and play. The other took a call to SVS support. Support quickly identified the issue (my Yamaha receiver had to go through the YPAO [Yamaha Parametric room Acoustic Optimizer] procedure. This solved the problem. Bass sound quality is excellent. Phone App is simple and helpful. Highly recommend the product and support.

Great subwoofer for use with music in a small room. If you're into mostly movies I would suggest you look at the ported model. I used the downloaded app on my phone to set it up. Works like a charm. That app makes it super easy to tweak the settings right from your chair. I'm impressed!

Powerful Sub for Music
Hudson G. from WEST HEMPSTEAD, NY on 5/3/2024
A perfect sub for music if placed and connected correctly. I am using stereo line input from Integrated Amp to Subwoofer. The sub itself is completely isolated from the floor with zero vibration. The pair of Kef RDM2 bookshelf speakers are a perfect match, and the result is state of the art audio production with incredible low frequency that is Deep rich balanced and musical. If this Sub is purchase for the right reason and is installed correctly it will represent an excellent value.
Pros: Beautiful and flexible design

Boom Boom!
Gregory from Santa Rosa, CA on 4/21/2024
My system was flat and hollow playing only out of my elac debut speakers. After getting the sub dialed in for my room and equipment my wife and I listened as the music came to life! After listening to the weekend live at sofi I can almost say I was there. This sub fills my room with ease and is not overly boomy. The woofer easliy keeps up with opeth, mastadon etc and gets down low and hits hard when we play tech 9, lil wayne etc. Other may have had a negative experience with this sub. I believe it is room placemen. As well as the set up of the equalizer and gain adjustments etc that have caused the issue. This sub puts in work! The application interface is extremely easy to navigate once you get a hang of it, and very convenient for tuning the woofer to match your room and music. Iv been listening extensively for about a week now and can't find any reason why my setup does not need this sub. Rotel tribute amp and cd transport Technics sl-23 tt Elac debut 2.0 bookshelf speakers Svs sb-1000
Pros: Easy to setup and tune with the svs application. Sounds amazing once dialed in to your room and equipment. Piano black box looks great in my setup.
Cons: 18v trigger made a humming noise so I disconnected the trigger. Could be the cord not sure didn't investigate much. Very flat out of the box. Do not be afraid of the parametric equalizer!

First of all, I would like to say that I always deal with Crutchfield. Their staff and advisors and tech-support are top-notch. I searched a lot of subwoofers and got more confused so I gave Crutchfield a call and they made things simpler. After I received my subwoofer, I called him advisor and they hook me up with tech-support and walked me through the whole process downloading the app for the SVS SP 1000 Pro. They told me anytime to call if I have issues or questions questions and they will assist me anyway they can. Where do you get service like that? Thanks again Crutchfield keep up the great work.
Pros: All good.

Very dissapointing, don't buy if you like hearing the bass
Dan from LIVERMORE, CA on 1/29/2024
Bought this powered subwoofer to replace an older JBL 12" powered sub. This sub is a total disappointment, it has very little volume. My older JBL was a 400watt amp compared to the 325watt amp of the SVS, so to get minimal decent sounding bass, I had to turn the sub volume up all the way and increase my amp output volume by 50%. After all that, I could finally hear the bass at a normal listening volume. My old JBL sub would be deafeningly loud at those settings compared to this one. If you enjoy bass that can complement music and rock a house during a movie then this one is not for you! I gave it 2 stars because it does put out some bass if you crank the volume.
Pros: Small size App works ok
Cons: Controls on back of sub are impossible to use without moving the sub way out into the room Very little volume

I had my doubts regarding adding a sub, I've always thought I didn't like subs. I think the disdain for subs comes from hearing rattling licence plates in a gas station. It is a far different experience adding a sub to something like my Klipsch Forte ivs. What the sub adds to the music is subtle and hard to describe but it is a fullness that isn't there without the sub. My mains respond down to 38 Hz so I have the low pass on the sub set to 37 Hz. You'd think that it isn't significant to add that small amount of content between 20 Hz and 37 Hz but there is a lot there. I am totally satisfied with this SVS SB-1000 Pro

Wow. This unit truly complements my speakers. Somehow the mid range sounds better with this unit. I spent a lot more money on my last subwoofer - which died - but this is a better subwoofer. I think the difference is that this speaker is sealed which I think goes better with my sealed speakers. Great transient response and tight output. Now let's see how long the amplifier lasts. Recommended. Now to figure out the app.

I love the added fuller, deeper bass it provides to my old HPM-100 speakers, even at low volumes. I have always enjoyed these speakers, but always had to turn them up to enjoy them fully. Not now. The connection to my receiver was simple with just using a single optical cable. The only thing that is more difficult for me is knowing how to adjust the sub using the SVS app, but that may be my own issue as my son-in-law certainly adjusted it quickly. I would recommend this sub for anyone who wants a deeper bass than their stereo system presently provides.
Pros: Good deep bas enhancement to current stereo. Easy installation.
Cons: SVS app isn't intuitive.

Powerful yet tidy subwoofer
Michael from AMHERST, NH on 9/17/2023
I was on a budget but stretched it a bit to buy this sealed sub that is also a smaller package than most of the competition. Knowing my wife would dislike the huge Klipsch floor speakers and a giant subwoofer I knew I had to get a sub in a smaller package. But I am not disappointed. It hits hard and low, really able to get down to that 20hz mark which is awesome to hear and feel. I listen to a wide array of music and it responds well across genres. The tight, punchy bass from a sealed cabinet is what I wanted most of all, and the SVS delivers. The app control is helpful. The sub sometimes does not power on when music plays and other times shuts off by itself at lower listening volume. Tech support suggested I use a splitter to supply both L and R to it and it has helped some. If it doesn't power on, I just open the app and it's good to go. Not a huge deal. Do yourself a favor and buy it. Small, hugely powerful, and an attractive finish make it a winner.
Pros: Tight and punchy, real 20hz, very powerful
Cons: Sometimes powers off at low volume

GREAT buy, sounds great....so far...
John from Orlando, FL on 4/21/2023
I don't really have much to base this on, given it's my first "audiophile" sub, with a system that's also brand new to me. But, that said, it seems to be a fantastic sub for the money. The software was just "OK". Some of it didn't apply to this model. But being able to tweak the volume from your listening position was very convenient. But that's about all I used the software for. The Parametric eq seemed borderline useless (at least with this model). The sound didn't change no matter what I did with it. It does tend to get a bit boomy, even without the ports. So, for the sake of listening to music, and the room I have, I have it dialed fairly low to the point to where it's more punchy, than anything. So much so that you don't notice it till you remove it altogether, and then it makes a great pair of speaks sound astonishingly anemic. So far, at worst, it's a great value, sub. Not completely blown away, and I may go up a notch or two to the 3000. But it sounds really good. Wattage makes a huge difference with bass, even if you're like me and listening at low-to-moderately loud, volumes. Hence, why bass guitar amplifiers are 1000+ watts, whereas a guitar amp is 100, at most. No one plays them that loud, they just better for whatever reason. But I digress....I definitely recommend this sub.
Pros: -GREAT value, nice deep low end. As advertised. -Not astonishing, but VERY good. And, sometimes that's enough. -Like it much better than the more expensive 3000 micro (which was very surprising to me)
Cons: Software is one dimensional for this model, and a bit unintuitive. "Bass heads" may want to go up to the 12" 3000 (or higher) to get a tighter punchier more controlled tone.

Outstanding Sealed Subwoofer

This subwoofer is outstanding! It puts out tight bass as. Good sealed port sub should. The app connects quickly and is super easy to use. It allows the user to tailor the volume and sound to their own personal preference. If you are going to place the sub on carpet be sure to pick up something good to place it on. Cons: 1. Doesn't not have the most power, get a different (larger) sub if you have a larger room.

SVS SB 1000 Pro vs 3000 Micro
Lewis from Fairfield, IA on 4/10/2023
The SVS APP always gets a 1000 Stars rating ! The SVS SB1000 Pro is a really nice sub that sings musically when you turn up the volume-I am not sure my neighbors would appreciate that volume. There is a sense of a deep cavity within which the notes were created that did not work for me. I chose the SVS 3000 Micro instead because it is musical at lower volume levels and probably more musical than the 1000 pro. Room placement is very important of course. (The SVS customer support said always to point the 3000 Micro speakers pointing to the left and right. I have mine on the floor in front of my center channel speaker. It works great !). I used the the re-mastered Beatles Abby Road CD to evaluate the subs in my 5.1 system. I only care about lovely notes coming from a sub and care nothing at all for room shaking and chest thumping from a sub-both of these subs will do that chest thumping and room shaking. Hope this helps a little in your choice. (I had both subs on a little 12"x18"x4" high Furniture dolly on casters wheels that I got from Menards-this made it easy to move them around when testing. Good luck. ???? for Crutchfield.
Pros: 3000 micro was the more musical for me. I also liked its smaller size.
Cons: 1000 pro was musical when you turn it up. More of a home theater movie room shaker.

Very Satisfied
Robert from Elmira, NY on 4/2/2023
I purchased the SVS SB-1000 Pro subwoofer with the goal of assembling an audio system that enables me to experience full range sound (20-20,000 Hz) in my small living room. In my Marantz NR1200 receiver, I set the low pass filter at 80 Hz and listen to audio and video sources in Pure Direct sound mode. A pair of X-LS Encore bookshelf speakers finished by GR Research, and Pangea Audio DS400 speaker stands complete my new speaker system. I was immediately struck by the spaciousness the subwoofer adds to my listening experience. Though the SVS subwoofer has the rear controls and smartphone app to adjust several settings, in my listening area it sounds excellent straight out of the box with no tweaking. I stream my music collection from iTunes on a laptop computer to the receiver using Apple AirPlay 2. I am very happy with the power and tight bass response of my sealed box SVS subwoofer.

Nice Black Grill Cloth and speaker inputs
Allenwrench from Manhattan Beach, CA on 1/25/2023
I bought this for the line level speaker inputs in particular. Driver's removable screen color is Black btw - SVS website makes it look like its a dark Grey . Took a punt on these even though I thought the driver cover color wan't going to be black to match the Q Acoustics Concept 50 speakers I bought this because the 50's ' ah hum ' needed a little help. So I was very happy when I found out the grill 'cloth' is Black. I run it with a Benchmark DAC an AHB2 and a Shiit preamp that has a tube buffer. Ok - I'll bring this in for a landing . ( I'm also not a big subwoofer fan btw - they're up there with drywall/sheetrock imho - the Devil's invention ) . This is by no means any type of reference system but so far with the Q Acoustics 50's flanking two Eames black leather lounge chairs with ottomans and this about 1/3 the distance from the side wall ( no I didn't crawl around ) it is more than adequate for chill listening in the main sitting room that already has a 7.2 system in the ceiling and walls to go with the flat screen .
Pros: Good Value - Compact - Musical

Really Impressed with the great quality this Subwoofer has added to my 2 channel stereo system , really fills in the bass that was missing .. I had recently removed carpeting and replaced with a laminate plank flooring which totally changed the room audio accoustics .....This Subwofer improved the sound amazingly ,which is what I had hoped for . and the SVS app is awesome as you can make adjustments to the SB-1000 pro to get the best sound for the music type or input ( vinyl, CD ,streaming) and set pre-sets right from your sitting area, I will be experimenting with the different settings ..and as Usual Crutchfield service ,packing and shipping ( 2day) is not to be matched

Crutchfield Delivers!
Kelly from Richland, WA on 12/12/2022
They said 2 day delivery and even in this Christmas season they got it done. Kudos to delivery people, as well. Crutchfield is just a 'stand-up' company to deal with. This SVS sub has just the best app for adjusting sound parameters. I am using this SVS with an older NAD integrated with no sub out and KEF Q100's (just an old school stereo setup) and it all works just swell.
Pros: Small and powerful. Great app interface
Cons: None so far

Mighty mouse with a womans touch
Blindmongoose from NJ on 9/23/2022
This is a pretty good sub but what puts it over the top is its app allowing you to make all the adjustments from your listening position. Plus the ability to customize three presets. No more moving back and forth countless times getting the sound you want then you switch to a different genre and then sounding off and repeating the process or coming to some kind of compromise. With the app forget about all that. Even without the app its a pretty good subwoofer able to produce awesome sound that can dig deep especially for a sealed subwoofer and its small size. It was the missing component to complement my B-system. My system consists of Yamaha A-S801 int amp, monitor audio silver 100 6g with morrow audio sp5,Bluesound 2g with zevfino interconnect, my laptop with zavfino usb interconnect, last this sub with morrow audio sub5 interconnect. Oh and Pangea ds400 stands filled with play sand. Furman power conditioner. This is my every day listening setup and i couldn't be happier. The sub blends in so well that sometimes i dont think its on I get up and check lol. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and I definitely reccomend it to anyone thats contemplating. Plus this was an open box and I used my points so I got a good deal. Looked great now damage or blemishes. Of course crutchfield provided their standard impeccable service as always.
Pros: Sounds great. App is easy to use and works flawlessly Compact size Down to 20 hertz being that small No more getting up to adjust the subwoofer
Cons: To lite needs more heft to it. Lots of distortion at high volume level.

This Sub integrated so well with my 2.1 desk listening setup. Just FYI, I have it paired with KEF LSX II's (also purchased from Crutchfield). The seamlessness of this sub, and it's ability to play so well with the KEF speakers is truly amazing. The quality, musicality and accuracy that this sub has with all kinds of music is just spectacular. There isn't a genre of music where this sub fall short. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and thank Crutchfield enough. I can truly say that this sub is absolutely amazing and created a much more rounded and complete sound space. I never thought a sealed 12" sub could be this intricate, intimate and accurate. Finally, not only does it sound amazing, it looks awesome and way more refined in the gloss black. Thank you SVS, and thank you to Crutchfield!
Pros: accuracy nuanced blends really well when set up appropriately (app control makes it really easy) musical punchy with intimacy plays deep and with authority clean
Cons: app control is very audiophile focused, but is very much worth it to get it right to fully enjoy your integration with your system.

I was surprised by the solid bass and small size. The control app is good and easy to use. Unlike others I would like to have a LED in the front panel to let me know that it is on/off. ( with the option to turn it off for those who do not want to be distracted). This is replacing the much much bigger Hsu Research subwoofer, I think it is money well spent.

Milton from Commerce Twp, MI on 7/20/2022
Very good subwoofer with unnecessary but handy Bluetooth controls through an SVS app. Played around with this sub and a Klipsch SPL-100 in my roughly 20'x30' living space. Both were excellent in their own way but the punchier nature of the sealed SVS paired much better with my new Wharfedale Diamond 12.2 bookshelf speakers. Less rumble than the klipsch during movies but more than adequate for a great experience. One star deducted because it shipped without a power cord and manual but Crutchfield took care of the issue with grace.

Big, little sub
Howard from Naples, FL on 7/19/2022
Remarkable pair of subwoofers. These are now in a system that is 85% of the way towards the very high-end - not the absurd high end but way up there. The room is 26L x 16W x10H but I only had very limited space for subs both physically and possibly boom echo. These were perfect and have brought a truly impressive system to a much higher(lower) level. The app makes adjusting them to the room and audio system an absolute and easy pleasure. I have the pair in gloss black and the price was far less than any cable I have in the entire system (how ridiculous is that?) These are great quality.
Pros: FINISH, FRONT FIRING, APP, PRICE, CRUTCHFIELD COMMUNICATIONS
Cons: N0NE

Very Nice Sub
Jimmy from Midland City, AL on 7/15/2022
This is a great sub for my living room. I rent a house so it's not very big. This Sub is great. I'd like to thank the techs at SVS for helping me configure the sub through the phone app. I told them my components and they e mailed me the exact settings. Thanks SVS. One problem which has nothing to do with the sub directly. I use a Moto G android phone. When I turned the phone off, then back on after charging, it would revert the sub settings back to the default settings. I figured out to just configure the sub like I wanted it, then on the phone, turn the blue tooth SVS woofer app, off. Now I'm a happy camper.
Pros: Sharp and Powerful. Also installed SVS Subwoofer isolation feet.
Cons: App on Android phone quirky. Maybe just mine.

Thank you Crutchfield advisor Andrea for patiently helping me articulate my needs and recommending this sub. This thing punches far above it's weight. The output is outstanding for an amp this size. For music, which is 70% of my usage, this sub is so quick, subtle, tight and articulate. It's also surprisingly good for movies. The SVS app is outstanding, provides so many options and it's amazing this it is included at this price point. The sub is very easy to make nearly disappear in a system. Nad C368 amp, Klipsch RP-8000f towers. My room is 22'x'15 and it's just right for the room. Some may need more bang, so get two or go up in size, especially those who have a huge dedicated HT set up. Sealed subs may take a minute to adjust to if you're used to ported subs. I'm very impressed with the SVS sub, lives up to the hype. Apartment dwellers and those with space concerns will love this sub.

Plug and play awesomeness
Jeff from Virginia on 6/15/2022
Recently picked this up to replace my old but beloved Definitive PF-15 + that didn't survive a recent move. Had high hopes based on reviews and was NOT disappointed! Maybe I just got lucky in my listening room, but set up literally could not have been easier. I plopped it down where I thought it should go, plugged in in and fired up my system, ready to do the "sub crawl". But to my amazement, it sounded fantastic right where it was and even all the factory settings work great. The techy nerd in me couldn't help but fiddle with placement and adjustments on the easy to use app, but I didn't find any combination that sounded any better than where I first placed it with all the default settings. Paired with a 75 wpc Denon AVR and a pair of Paradigm Premier 100B bookshelves, in a 3.1 system, the sound is amazing.....great for music and movies. Well done SVS.
Pros: Small, unobtrusive design gives it a great spousal acceptance factor. Lightweight for a 12 inch sub makes it easy to move. Seamlessly integrates into my system. Great sound. Five year warranty!!
Cons: Recent price hike. Sometimes takes a few seconds to wake up in auto mode. Could be a little louder at the lowest end of it's frequency response....but that's the trade off for tight, fast bass in a sealed sub.

Overpriced dissapointment
Crutchfield customer from Bloomington, IN on 5/24/2022
What a severely overrated product. I previously, temporarily had my Rockford Fosgate P300-12 connected with speaker level inputs and a DC power supply. That sub is rated 300W RMS vs. 325W RMS of the SVS and its not even close. The SVS is nearly inaudible with my Klipsch R-820F speakers which are driven by 100W RMS Yamaha R-S202 (no sub out, so I need speaker level inputs on the sub). The P300-12 cannot be played anywhere near max volume because it gets far too loud but the SVS at maximum volume is barely audible regardless of crossover setting. Maybe it is highly rated by people that never had a sub before, because it very weak and not nearly worth the money. There is no way it can be 325W RMS if the Rockford is 300W RMS. It sounds more like 50W, maybe.
Pros: None, at all. Zero.
Cons: Exorbitant price Very low output even at max volume I have to deal with sending it back

What a deal for a great sub
Luis from Fresno, CA on 4/28/2022
I purchased a, scratched or dented item. It came in its original box, with outlet tape. However, everything liked as new, including the power cord seemed to never have been unwrap, as well as the litterateur. Speaker and grill were both wrapper as new, and neither had any glitches, dirt, scratches to my great surprise. I am still adjusting the settings, but seems to sound and work great. Bass is nice and tight which is great for a smaller room, and for music. But I am still working on adjusting it. With the slower shipping and the outlet savings, saved over $50, since the tax decreased as well. And used my reward points... No better price for this SVS SB- 1000 pro.
Pros: Great sound, small size for a 12"

I use this for music in 2.1 so can't comment for home theater. The app is great. I have two in two different rooms and can adjust either one from my iPad. Really convenient and it makes it very granular, as in 1 HZ and 1 Db adjustments. I like that the sub is not ported because it keeps the bass tight and accurate, which is how I like my music. Balanced, tight and accurate. If that's what you want, you'll get it here.

My theater is 17 by 22. I bought the SB-1000 Pro to supplement my Martin Logan 40i floor standing speakers. My thoughts after a couple of weeks are "buy the most powerful sub you can afford". I believe the ported sub would work better for me but not sure I would want to be moving it around. I do plan to audition the next sub I purchase and not rely on internet and YouTube reviews. I do like the app I can use on my iPad. It is worth the extra cost.

Accurate, deep, musical, and tight
Ryder from Colleyville, TX on 2/7/2022
This sub was specifically bought for listening to music and I couldn't be more happy after tuning and getting the placement down. The sub simply outputs extremely deep, tight, and accurate bass which can easily fill massive rooms. The app really makes this sub the best at (and above) this price point. One thing I would make sure to mess around with is the slope feature on the LPF, not enough people mention it at all. Most subs come set with a slope on LPF that you cannot change, let me tell you this makes a huge difference. Simply switching the slope from 12db to 24db provided me with a completely different sound that sounds even cleaner and deeper. Highly recommend.
Pros: Mobile App LPF Slope Feature (dont skip this) Small size No port chuff
Cons: None.

SVS SB-1000 Pro
Crutchfield customer from Mequon, WI on 1/16/2022
I have a 16 x 30 foot perfectly rectangular room for my home theater and previously used an inexpensive single 12" ported subwoofer. Had lots of problems with bass peaks and nulls and generally flabby bass. Bought two of these SVS SB-1000 Pros and installed them along the front (14') wall. A little tweaking - which was made really easy using the wireless interface and app from my phone - and now I have nice, tight bass that digs deep and also plays loud enough in my space. The thing that surprised me the most is how small these boxes are. Made it easy to place them for best sound and even with two they don't overwhelm the room visually.
Pros: Compact cabinet size Tight, controlled bass Smartphone app for setup and adjustment Reasonable price, even for two
Cons: Really need two for a larger room

I now know why this is so popular. It plays lower bass notes better than other subs do for its size. I found that I didn't use the app as much as I thought I would. I link that to the fact it has a sealed enclosure and didn't need much tweaking after the initial setup. There were some movies that I thought the bass was a bit weak, but overall, a rather enjoyable experience.

Great value - pairs well with vintage amp
Paul from Hanover, NH on 1/1/2022
This sub fills my small/medium size room with engaging sound for music and movies. Tones are accurate and pleasing. Paired with my modest 10 year old Boston Acoustic CR6 bookshelf speakers and a vintage Onkyo TX-84 AV receiver, the deep sounds added by the sub drive movie scenes with excitement that was lacking before. When really low notes hit, the walls shake. I agree with some other reviewers that the 325W amplifier is a little underpowered for the big 12" driver. Sound levels are a little quiet and lack the punch that I was looking to reproduce in my space. I am opting to splurge and upgrade to the SB-3000 micro. I think the 8" drivers and 800W amplifier will provide the punch I am looking for and will fit better in my modest space. The SB1000 produces lower frequencies very cleanly, but I am going to sacrifice those low notes for more punch to augment my punchy little bookshelf speakers.
Pros: Great price, pairs with speaker level outputs on vintage amplifiers, accurate notes, shakes room.
Cons: I want more punch.

Mark from Gloucester on 11/17/2021
Cannot say enough good about this affordable upgrade. The phone app brings out so much that other subs simply cannot deliver. I was hesitant about buying any piece with (what I believed to be) unnecessary bells and whistles. I'm also not a big BOOM and THUMP person. I like a nice, underlying bass presence that is not overwhelming. My previous subs have been supplemental, and I thought that was sufficient. I was wrong. This piece, through using the phone app, is more "complementary". It blends so nicely with the towers (Wharfedale Diamond 11.3 in front; KEF Q550 in the back), and it seems to increase the mid and hi signal (may just be an auditory illusion). The 3-band parametric EQ really does so much to focus on specific frequencies that need boosting or reducing. Finally, while the KEF Q550s were the first sealed speakers I've ever heard, I was also hesitant about buying a sealed sub. It's tight and clean, and I love it. So very glad I put my money into SVS. You will be also.
Pros: All of it
Cons: None (unless you go above the SB1000 Pro, as they are pretty large)

Amazing deep bass in such a tight compact system. Can shake the room but the box doesn't rattle. Room size is about 14x20 and it's enough for a townhome to feel like you're in the movie.

I added the SVS SB-1000 Pro to my audio system that consists of the Cambridge Audio CXA-61 and Revel Concerta2 M16 speakers. It was very easy to install and to calibrate using the associated app. I have found this subwoofer to perform well across many genres of music, and would highly recommend it to others. By the way, I bought a "scratch & dent" version from Crutchfield and it was flawless.

It was not meant to be.
Charles from STOWE, VT on 11/7/2021
It has been said that even if a speaker's frequency response is rated at 20hz - 20,000hz, it will never go that low. And because of that, a subwoofer is needed to make up for what the speaker's bass cannot reproduce. I never had a subwoofer and started to wonder if I was really missing out. I did some research and chose the SVS SB-1000 Pro subwoofer for its great frequency range 20hz - 270hz, powerful amp 325 watts, and good looks. I ordered it and was excited to bring my 2-channel stereo system up a notch. Sadly, that didn't happen. I opened the box and could see through the plastic bag that the white foam cushion around the subwoofer was torn. After seeing that, what I had feared, had happened. A corner of the subwoofer was dented in. The box was in perfect condition, no dents, tears, or cuts, so it was not damaged by UPS. It must have already been damaged when it was packed. I read on Crutchfield's web site that some items are shipped directly from the manufacturer. And since I have received 12 components from Crutchfield in the past, none of which were damaged, I strongly believe it was already damaged when it was packaged by SVS. I called Crutchfield, send them an email with pictures and they sent out a replacement. Once again, I was excited to bring my 2-channel stereo system up a notch, but this time the power cord was missing. That ended my subwoofer quest. Looks like I wasn't missing out after all.
Pros: Frequency Response Power Looks
Cons: Damaged

I've been running a pair of B&W 603 floor standing speakers, with (2) B&W ASW610 subwoofers in a 2.2 stereo setup, and was not happy with their performance. I purchased the SB-1000 Pro and as soon as I hooked it up, it sounded so much better than (1) or even (2) of the B&W's. Much deeper bass, cleaner bass, clear and musical. The B&W's were very muddy compared to the SVS. Very happy with my purchase.

Amazing sub! I was worried that this guy wouldn't be powerful enough for my ~1000 sqft room my system is in but man this thing kicks! They pair great with my KLH speakers and Cambridge AXR-100 stereo receiver. Took a little tweaking to get going but they have a cool Bluetooth app for help fine tuning. The best part is how A Kind of Blue sounds through it. Sounds like the Upright Bass is in the room with you. and Brass Monkey shakes the entire house

Love this Sub!
Matthew from HUNTINGTN STA, NY on 10/2/2021
5 stars so far! I have only had the SVS SB-1000 pro for a few days, but what a difference! I replaced a Def Tech Pro Sub 800 which I have had for a few years. While that was nice, I felt something was missing when I got my Martin Logan LX16's. I couldn't pin point whether it was mids lacking or just a muddy sound at some levels. The SVS made all the difference. With my Denon DRA 800H, set at an 80hz crossover, I basically plugged in the new sub and left all other settings defaulted for now except auto on. Highly recommend, even my wife commented on how nice the simple 2 channel system sounds!
Pros: Easy set up, nice app, looks beautiful
Cons: The only thing I miss slightly (very slightly) is the side volume control on my Def Tech Pro Sub800. But so far, I haven't felt the need to adjust this sub.

I was looking for a replacement for my aging Velodyne VX-11(which still works fine). After spending looking at several models and brands, I decided to go with the SB-1000 Pro. My apartment is 700 square feet, so I needed something with a fairly small footprint. This is just what I was looking for. The bass is nice, clean and room filling. Listening to America's Homecoming SACD, everything sounded amazing, from the kick drum to the bass playing. Watching the blu ray of San Andreas, I could not only hear, but feel the rumble of the earthquakes. The same goes for the train crash in Super 8, as well as the pod scenes in War Of The Worlds. Overall this was quite a nice upgrade from my Velodyne. I wasn't quite sure how a sealed sub would sound coming from a rear ported sub. Needless to say, I am more than happy with my purchase.

Great boost for an older stereo
Crutchfield customer from Palmyra, PA on 9/5/2021
Purchased this subwoofer for my vintage 1980's stereo system based around an AKAI AAR40 tuner and Mirage SM2.5 (refoamed woofers) speakers which I just cannot bring myself to abandon. Was always happy with the sound from this old setup but lower bass, although well reproduced was a bit thin. Using this sub set at a low pass frequency setting of 80HZ (12db slope) adds that needed punch to the system. Very pleased with this product.
Pros: Great punch from a compact unit. Controlling from the phone is a great plus.

David from BRANDYWINE, MD on 8/24/2021
It's very good for music but I'm only using 45hz crossover I have floor speakers it's good enough. I had a rythmic sub the screw head popped off then the owner said I screwed it to tight. I'm like it didn't touch it sent it back. It's a good sub don't get me wrong but quality and customer service is crap. On a subwoofer you want a good warranty and business that it is not going anywhere. The ones on you tube try to sell you something that's hit or miss do not by from these small businesses right now the parts are hard to get. Only big business can stick to standards and customer service goes a long way in my book. If you don't have floor speakers with 8 inch woofers this is for you. I can't comment on bookshelf and mid bass. It does not do both at this price. For music it's excellent the app makes life easier.

HEAR IT AGAIN FOR THE FIRST TIME
Warren from KANEOHE, HI on 8/18/2021
Is this sealed subwoofer for everyone? Honestly I would have to say no, however for me the pair of SB-1000s that I had purchased has made a significant improvement to my home stereo system. These subs are in a dedicated music system...No home theater, and they have mated seamlessly with my Monitor Audio Silver 100s after setting the crossover to 65 with a slope of 24. The subs and speakers just disappear and image fabulously. I run tubes in my system; tube preamp, tube dac, tube mono amps, etc.. so the SVS SB-1000s have blessed me with a controlled low end slam that I can feel. The key word here is control... my previous sub was a HSU Research ported monster sub with a dedicated 500 watt HSU mono amp...very deep and powerful bass exceeding that of the SVS pair. This ported design is better suited for home theater where it now resides in another system in my home. The bass although deep and powerful was nowhere as tight and controlled as the SVS sealed SB-1000s, and it was oftentimes quite evident in the music being played that I was using a sub to augment the bass. With the SVS sealed subs I get a seamless integration into the music with controlled bass slam. I truly believe that the Bluetooth SVS app has made the customization of low frequencies a breeze. One is able to make minor adjustments with each different LP or CD being played to optimize the sound to your preference. I can honestly tell you that I will never purchase another subwoofer without this fe
Pros: Value for the price paid Bluetooth SVS App Tight controlled bass Compact size Quality fit and finish Easy to set up With some minor tweaking in the SVS app should mate with most speakers in a stereo music system
Cons: Maybe not a con but just wondering how much better the SB-2000 pro would have been? For my room size this would have been more appropriate; however in the vast majority of music tracks that I have played over the past couple of weeks, the SB-1000 pair has been sufficiently pleasing to listen to.

SVS SB1000 Pro review
Crutchfield customer from Gunter, TX on 8/2/2021
Got the SVS SB-1000 Pro to replace a PSB 5i that died. Was concerned about the sound quality and did a bunch of research before pulling the trigger on this fantastic sub through the Crutchfield Outlet. The unit was an "open box" item, but you would have ever known if they didn't let you know as it is in perfect condition. Sound quality is phenomenal for such a compact unit and works well with my B&W 602's in a very large open family room. Movies, video games and music all sound fantastic. What's even better is being able to tweak the subs settings from my listening position thru the app while watching or listening to any source and being able to save the profile for that source. Really impressive subwoofer!!!
Pros: Really low lows, very tight and musical. Plenty of power for movie effects. Best of all was the open box discount!

Awesome!
Crutchfield customer from Keyser, WV on 7/24/2021
Awesome! This is our second SVS sub. This one needed to be invisible (visually and sonically). This unit is small with excellent sound and features. The AVR in this room does not have room correction or speaker adjustments so we used the internal adjustments with this sub to adjust crossover frequency, volume, and phase to make it disappear sonically. If you have not owned an SVS product before they are well made, reliable, and sound great. We specifically wanted the wide frequency response provided by this sub so we had the option of crossing over a little higher (frequency) to help our small bookshelf main speakers. We only buy from Crutchfield.
Pros: Small size App allows adjustments from seating position 20hz to 270hz Well made SVS reputation for high quality and great sound

This I definitely want to share! I know there are more expensive subwoofers out there but there is something better about svs. Maybe the sledge amp. I don't know. What I do know is it's a better subwoofer than the 10 inch Rel I bought right before I bought the svs. Im super excited to own this sub. I wish I had 3 more just like it. Its right on que for movies and music. It will blow you away no question about it. In the near future I will own more. Can't brag on it enough. Way to go SVS!

Sounds Amazing Right Out of the Box
Conan from Newton, Kansas on 7/14/2021
I absolutely love it. It's my first subwoofer. I often read about how they're difficult to set up, but mine sounded good right out of the box. The app is super easy to use, though I really don't want to mess with it that much because the subwoofer already sounds so good. I am using the SVS recommendations for the low pass filter and slope that their web suggests for my particular speakers. It's very cool. They have recommendations for just about every speaker out there. I was pretty clueless about hooking it up, but SVS was easy to reach and had me up and running in a couple of minutes.
Pros: I can't believe how much better my speakers sound, extremely smooth. SVS has excellent customer service, and so does Crutchfield, so you're definitely covered if you have any concerns or questions.

Small - nice looking - good sounding subwoofer
Crutchfield customer from Clearwater, FL on 7/9/2021
I really like this new subwoofer. The build, gloss black finish and size is perfect. The sound is quite good from a smaller subwoofer. I replaced a larger, older Paradigm reference subwoofer with this SVS and have to say it can really deliver the lows. The best feature is the SVS app that allows you to control everything on the fly - especially volume to adjust to movies with a large amount of dynamic range. The 12V trigger and auto-standby are great features too. For the price and the size, I would highly recommend this sub. If looking for a real big earth / room shaker, you may need to move up to a more expensive and larger sub, but in my room size of about 12 feet x 25 feet, the SVD SB-1000 does an awesome job.
Pros: Size Finish Price Lows achieved SVS App to a lot of control and volume Standby off 12V trigger power supply
Cons: May not produce the same ultra low frequencies of much more expensive and larger subwoofers.

Excellent sub that exceeded expectations
Crutchfield customer from Fort Worth, TX on 7/8/2021
Excellent sub that has exceeded my expectations. I felt confident with my purchase based on all of the consistently high reviews on SVS and the SB-1000 Pro, but it's been a better experience that I expected. The sound is amazing and there's plenty of output. I now get the concept of a 'musical' sub ... the dynamics and lower end is outstanding and very accurate and adds a new depth, range and responsiveness to music. I stream digital audio through the optical in on my amp and also listen to records through the phono pre and this sub adds perfect range through both sources. I spend out 75% listening to music and the other 25% watching movies and this sub is excellent for both. The app is essential ... once you get to adjust volume, EQ, etc from the comfort of your chair you will never want to go back to adjusting on the back of the sub. If you are used to 'boomier', inaccurate subs you are in for a world of difference. You will not regret this purchase ... you just need to decide sealed or ported. You really can't go wrong with the sealed sub, especially if you listen to music.
Pros: Great, accurate, detailed and musical sound Plenty of power Great for music and movies App control is essential and huge bonus
Cons: None really Splitting hairs the app interface could use some refinements, but you'll quickly get the hang of it.

Best subwoofer I've ever owned.
Crutchfield customer from Byron, GA on 5/31/2021
Really enjoying my new SVS SB-1000 Pro subwoofer. I've never been a subwoofer person, but have had two cheaper subwoofers before. One was a Dayton that was about $80, and the second was a Polk for about $100, and I liked the Polk the best of those. With the new SVS I get a lot better performance, with tighter bass, and can integrate it into my music systems better. One thing that truly amazes me is with the optional anti-vibration feet the SB-1000 Pro is totally silent, I mean the things around the subwoofer that would vibrate with my cheaper subwoofers, do not vibrate at all with the SVS. The ability to adjust the SVS with a smart phone app is very useful and cool. I use this sub for music only, and it does a great job.
Pros: Sound, build quality, optional anti-vibration feet do an amazing job of neutralizing vibrations.
Cons: None that I can think of.

Discovered the clear deep I have been missing
Crutchfield customer from Cumming, GA on 5/24/2021
I already loved the sound of my speakers (Monitor Audio GS-20) before the SB-1000 Pro arrived, but with the sub, I can now hear the deepest deeps that I have been missing. It does not broaden the sound stage, does not make the sound better, but after proper optimization for my room, it helps with grasping the true sound of the double bass or the organ, or the timpani (or the o-daiko) by pushing down to 20Hz. I am now re-experiencing such works as Berlioz Te Deum, Kodo's recordings, or even jazz greats.
Pros: Clear, robust deep Line-level, speaker-level inputs Bluetooth connectivity for setup
Cons: Choice of colors very limited Mobile app clunky

I like this subwoofer for it's compact size, and tight bass. I wish it was more potent though. My old Definitive Technology Pro Sub 800 seemed to have more impact. But it was a little "muddy" compared to the SB-1000 Pro. The SVS is good for music, but not so much for movies. I played the Telarc Great Fantasy Adventure album, and on the Jurassic Lunch track it just failed to deliver satisfying punch. On music tracks it was better. Bass is tight and not overwhelming. I really didn't have room in my small den and have never had very good success blending subs into my audio system. The SB-1000 Pro arrived and after a short time using the Bluetooth setup I love this sub. It blends in fantastically with my audio system. I listen to vinyl and high resolution internet broadcasts. Now I am trying to find space in the same den for another SB-1000Pro so I can have one for each channel. I'm not a subwoofer expert but this one sounds excellent in my system.

SVS SB-1000 Pro
Crutchfield customer from Anchorage, AK on 4/16/2021
Works great, not much bigger than an 8" it replaced but sounds way better. I have it in a small room and mostly wanted to fill out the bottom end a little bit, this does just that and more if I need. The app seems pretty nice, but I don't have a mic to make full use of all the DSP options available, but it is nice to be able to switch between volume/DSP presets without having to mess around behind the sub. Sounds great, small size, blends well with the rest of the system and can really bump if I want it to. Love it!
Pros: Small, solid bass.
Cons: None for my application.

The most bang for your buck.

I use this in a dedicated 2.1 listening room alongside bowers and Wilkins 606 s2 anniversaries with a Cambridge AXR100 and it fits the bill very well. As you would want, I can't tell where the bass is coming from, everything together creates a perfect soundstage. I will probably upgrade to 2. You won't find anything better close to this price.
Pros: Tight bass Clean/clear App is amazing Great price point
Cons: The feet are horrible - buy the upgraded SVS feet even if you're on carpet.

SVS SB-1000 Pro
Crutchfield customer from Hilo, HI on 4/2/2021
It is performing exactly what I had hoped it would. It goes very deep but accurate and is musical and there is no chuffing. I do give it a two thumbs up. Highly recommended. Crutchfield shipped to me with free shipping while the manufacturer would not bother shipping to me in Hawaii, period.

SVS SB-1000 Pro

Enjoying the added "bottom end" of music that had been missing from my otherwise fine floorstanding speakers. The small footprint, ability to customize sound via my smartphone, and the SoundPath wireless kit (that syncs without fail despite transmitting through 4 walls in my home) make this a solid product.

Musical subwoofer
Alan from Rome, GA on 3/30/2021
I have just recently put together a new stereo system. I planned on adding a subwoofer at some later point. The subwoofer that was the front runner was the SVS SB-1000. It had the recommendation of my son whose opinion I trust in things audiophile. (It has been awhile since I have swum in audiophilial waters.) Then SVS brings out the pro model. Enhanced frequency response, more powerful amp, more flexible adjustments with the ability to control through an app (but can still be accomplished without), and the same price. So, I am salivating. Then one shows up as an "open box" purchase. This was the it upon which I decided to jump. On opening the box and releasing the sub from its confines you note that this is a small sub re: footprint. But it is a 12" woofer. And when you hook it up and begin to have it do its thing you realize that it is a TARDIS. It is bigger on the inside than the out. Nice! It melds well with my ELAC F6.2s. It merges with them in a very musical manner. Oh, happy listening! Its performance with movies is ok (yes, I just have a stereo setup but that does not mean I cannot run my TV sound through my system) but it absolutely shines with music. And, for me, this was the benchmark. Kudos and high marks!
Pros: Great low reach Best for music
Cons: Not the best option for movie centric experience

SVS subs rule!
Crutchfield customer from Finksburg, MD on 3/18/2021
This sub met my expectations, which is why I gave 5 stars. It would have been difficult for this SVS SB-1000 Pro to have exceeded my expectations because that already happened with the SVS PB-2000 Pro that I already own. The SB-1000 Pro is an upgrade to the previous version (SB-1000). The Pro has a slightly more powerful amp (325 W RMS) and interfaces with the SVS app to taylor the sound to your room. It also has a slightly smaller enclosure than the non-Pro version and works flawlessly in the limited space I had in my room. The app allows you to dial in just the right amount of low end to blend in with your main fronts. The upgraded amp and app feature alone make the Pro a better choice over the previous version, and the price was the same (Pro vs non Pro) when I purchased (so it was a no brainer). I have ported and non-ported SVS subs, and I am completely satisfied with both. Which one you choose depends on your musical preferences and application, but I highly recommend SVS subs, especially the new 1000 Pros at these price points.
Pros: Compact size. Authoritative, detailed low end.
Cons: Doesn't hit as hard as the ported versions, but still rattles my bones. If you have the space, I would choose the ported over the sealed version, but that is just personal preference.
