Installation flexibility
If you're not sure whether to go with coaxial speakers or a component system in your car, Memphis Audio's MS57 5"x7" speakers give you the benefit of trying out both approaches on your installation day. The included tweeter mounts in the centre of the woofer in a coaxial application and maintains the ability to swivel, so you can direct high frequencies toward the listener. In component form, you remove the tweeter and mount it separately — Memphis Audio includes a phase plug for the centre of the woofer cone.
Great factory replacements
These speakers will handle up to 50 watts RMS for solid enjoyment of your favourite tunes. The carbon fibre woofer and aluminum tweeter make powerful replacements for low-functioning speakers, delivering strong performance with accuracy and gusto.
External crossovers
You know the M Series speakers are standouts because Memphis Audio equips them with external crossovers for the best sound possible in your car. And thanks to Memphis Audio's unique MClip mounting solution, you can securely clip the crossover onto the back of the speaker basket for a space-efficient installation.

Features
Tweeters: The tweeters are coaxially mounted to the woofers at the factory. The tweeters swivel, so they can be angled for optimum imaging. Additionally, the tweeters can be removed from the woofers and installed separately, either flush mounted or surface mounted using the included housings. The woofers' mounting height is reduced to 0.3" when the tweeters are removed.

Crossover: The crossovers are separate components with the output wires attached. The tweeter output level can be changed from flat to -3 dB by moving a jumper pin inside each crossover. The inputs are screw terminals that will accept bare wire or spade connectors up to 0.25" wide. The output wires have quick slides attached that easily connect to the terminals on the woofers and on the wire from the tweeters. The crossover dimensions are:
- Width: 1¾"
- Height: 1⅛"
- Length: 2¾" (3⅝ including wire)
M-Clip: The crossovers can be mounted to the back of the speaker magnets, or elsewhere, using the M-Clip brackets. When mounted to the speakers, the crossover adds approximately ⅜" to the depth and 1¼" to the width of one side of the magnet.
