I purchased these for a 2017 silverado dash. They fit but you'll need to drill out the mounting holes a bit. Used these to replace the bise dash speakers that were blown. Sound good and clear the 15 wattss rms seem to be working well with the factory Amp and crossover. Been a week so can't say much else about longevity these speaker. So far happy and sure better then a blown speaker

Mid-Range Tweeters
Crutchfield customer from Cochranville, PA on 8/24/2021
2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Great little midrange option for anyone seeking higher quality sound. I have these up on my dash corners in my 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I think very highly of these speakers. They blend very well with my other tweeters I have angle mounted on my A-Pillar panels. One thing I would recommend is a crossover that can run mid range frequencies to these speakers. I do feel like sending all of my highs to these speakers on my 2-Way crossovers is costing me a little bit of sound here and there. I still think the speakers sound great and would totally recommend to anyone who is interested in these. They're a great price for the amount of sound and frequencies they put out.
Pros: Lots of great and rich sound. Stock tweeter covers work excellently to cover up the mid range speakers.
Cons: Should use crossover that has an option of sending mid range signals to them. In doing so, a bass blocker should be added to the positive wire in order to stop them from playing mid bass and blowing out. Sending the highs to these works just fine, but could be better with a crossover that puts out mid range frequencies.

Exactly what I needed to replace the "D" pillar speakers in my '02 Suburban. Crutchfield had no replacement listed for this application, non-bose with factory subwoofer. This speaker fit into the OE holder. Just had to lengthen one mounting hole and apply closed cell foam tape between the mount and speaker. This paired nicely with the PRX 10. the factory "D" piller has an extra cut out under and to the inside of the factory speaker to fit it. Works great with the supplied crossover that comes with the PRX-10 tweeters!

Replacing stock front dash speakers in a Tacoma
Crutchfield customer from Deerfield Beach, FL on 5/17/2020
2018 Toyota Tacoma
Got these to replace spkrs on dash, and found that they would not fit. Also, these are mid-frequency spkrs, whereas the original equipment has tweeters installed. Also there is a wiring harness that is part of the original equipment that is needed to continue using all the other spkrs throughout the auto. You guys really missed the boat on this install and spkr substitution. I am anticipating returning the units. Other equipment purchased from Crutchfield works fine, with easy installs, just what I would expect from the quality organization you represent.
Pros: NONE that I can see, either installation process or the spkr selection.
Cons: Absolutely nothing. The spkrs will not substitute for OEMs, nor will the spkr harness work without the OEM spkr harness that is an integral part of the oem spkr unit.

These fit perfectly in my daughter's 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. They sound good and am hopeful that they will last. Remember, that the factory system sends the same amount of bass to this small dash speakers, as it's sending to the large 6x9 door speakers. We are using a small sub and have the bass turned down (which seems to be the perfect long term fix). Overall, I'm pleased with the speakers. The shipping was beyond quick!

DO NOT FIT 2019 TACOMA DASH
Chadwick from KUNA, ID on 1/31/2020

I am sure these speakers sound much better than the stock speaker, unfortunatly I wont be able to tell, they do NOT fit in the dash of a 2019 Tacoma. They say they fit on the Crutchfield's web sight, but they do not. Another issue which is not that big of a deal more of an inconvenience, is that it is not plug and play. Toyota dash speakers have a harness that Crutchfield does not have a harness for, so you have to splice wires, like I said no big deal. Good new is i never made it this far, I test fit prior to cutting wires, thankfully and found that they do not fit. Any way I will be sending these speakers back and getting some kickers that I found after some reseach.

Cons: dont fit

Memphis Audio PRX27 in 2014 Silverado
Rob from Weaverville, NC on 3/23/2019
2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Just installed in my 2014 Silverado. I am initially giving this product 5 stars, but will see how goes over the next couple of months. I have a small Alpine amp pushing a set of Pioneer Coax in the front and rear doors and a 10 inch sub powered by a mono amp in the rear, but found myself lacking vocals from the factory dash speakers. Installation was fairly straightforward. The holes do not line up perfectly, but easy to work around as others have noted. I removed the factory plug with the bass blocker from my factory speakers and soldered onto the Memphis speakers to ease installation a bit and to offer some protection from lower frequencies. Total installation time, including stops for drinks, took about an hour and a half and I'm more than pleased with the sound of my system. Vocals and highs are very clear and plenty loud enough with the 455U amp. Note that you will need to adjust your gain when adding and amp to the Silverado else the door chimes will bust your head. I turned mine to about 1/4 from lowest setting as I used speaker level inputs and the door chimes are negligibly louder than stock, but sound is crystal clear. Easy upgrade to the dash speakers and with just a little extra effort with a soldering iron made this that much easier. Highly recommended so far.
Pros: Clear sound; worthwhile and inexpensive upgrade to the factory speakers.
Cons: Lower power handling, and no wiring harness. Both mitigated with just a little work with the soldering iron and proper adjustment of your amplifier.

These sound pretty good for the price and speakers this size are hard to find. I have them in my 2018 Chevy Silverado dash location (non bose). I removed the factory speaker terminal with the bass blocker from the factory unit and soldered it to the Memphis speaker terminals. Made it plug and play so I didn't have to cut any wires at all. I have these running on a small amp at 45 watts RMS and they sound pretty good. They highs are good and clear. They handle 45 watts RMS with ease so far. Hopefully they hold up.
Pros: Good Sound, Easy on the wallet.
Cons: No bass blocker included.

After extensively searching for a 2.5" speaker for my Lexus and only finding it at the Lexus dealer for $250 I decided to try the Memphis speaker your tech suggested. I had to make a few adjustments to the mounting platform in the dash to get it to fit just right but it worked out perfectly. The sound is phenomenal. For about $30 problem was solved. One semi negative was that it came with two speakers. All I needed was one. The extra one will sit in my garage for future use.

2017 Toyota Tacoma
Not sure if there is a sound difference from stock but these speakers are not plug and play or even fit in a 2017 tacoma. the frame is to small so you can not just bolt the speaker in and there is no way to use any other mount. I am being critical of the speaker and that is not fair. speaker seems to be of good quality nice weight of magnet and built well. I ordered this to go along with the Kicker speakers like I saw listed on web forums since crutchfield does not carry the 2 3/4. Like I said do not get this speaker for a tacoma.
Pros: nicely made unsure about sound difference from stock, price
Cons: do not fit in a Toyota tacoma are to small to mount without cutting a mounting hole.

2014 Subaru Forester
I bought these for my 2014 Subaru Forester to replace the dash corner speakers. I could tell the difference immediately, louder and crisper. I thought, perfect. Here is the issue, if I put the volume above 50% they crackle. I saw another reviewer had this problem and wanted to figure it out, because I really like the product. The stock radio and wiring provides these speakers with the same bass range as the door speakers. These speakers are not set up to handle bass, they are more of a tweeter. Crutchfield sells a product that will help alleviate this issue AND buying a new head unit will allow you to better control your sound profile. So if you are willing to spend a little extra and understand these speakers are not meant to handle bass, get them.
Pros: Clean crisp sound at low volume, louder than stock
Cons: crackle at high volume due to bass being sent to the speakers, read review for help!

VERY Clear Highs
Nicholas from Dayton, OH on 4/2/2018
2017 Subaru WRX
I installed these on my 2017 WRX Premium, there is an INCREDIBLE difference in sound quality once you install these. Compared to the stock tweeters these sound crisp and full. While the speakers do not match up perfectly with my cars dash speaker bracket they did fit in a separate hole near the bracket, using the provided clips and a screw I was able to FIRMLY secure the tweeters. I did some testing with the stock high-pass filter and found it completely safe to snip the factory filter off of the factory tweeter and solder it to the new tweeters. Using a bit of hot glue allowed me to stick the filter right onto the magnet AND retain the factory harness plug-in. I noticed that an earlier review for a WRX noted that you had to splice the factory harness in order to install a filter, thanks to my equipment and knowledge of engineering I was able to confirm that it is safe (by my standards) to just use the factory filter. The only thing I found with these speakers is that they do start to distort earlier than my Infinity Kappas BUT that is at an ear blistering volume level that you should not have when driving.....or ever.
Pros: Easy to install, sound clean, good build quality
Cons: Only slightly less strong at projecting sound compared to stock but unnoticeable to typical consumer applications

Factory is Better
Stephen from Bentonville Arkansas on 2/14/2018
2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Ordered these to get more "voice" from my factory radio in my 2014 Silverado. Upon arrival they felt heavier but I noticed they still had the "paper" type cone. After I removed the stock I did compare weight bc I was curious if magnet was heavier and it was and I got excited that maybe they would work great. After I spliced these in because they don't make a harness adapter yet, I sat each speaker in my lap and concentrated the stereo to front left (the one I did first) so I could touch the wires to each the factory and the Memphis speaker. Factory is much louder especially at full volume. Not only that, I had to cut the ears on the Memphis to get both screws in so it wouldn't rattle. I order a lot from here and tell my friends to use Crutchfield as well bc generally everything works out great but these, don't bother. Keep your factory speakers in this size unless they are busted or don't work at all because they are NOT louder or even as loud as stock. Maybe they would be with a 4 channel amp but maybe the factory would too!!! Sorry Crutchfield, remove these speakers and find a better upgrade.
Pros: ???
Cons: Fitment, sound quality- really only things that matter here

2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Purchased these speakers as a factory replacement for my '14 Silverado. Upgraded head unit a little over a year ago. Music was clearer but couldn't turn it loud because the dash speakers became distorted very quickly. These Memphis speakers are a good fit and sound great. Huge improvement over factory speaker. Head unit is a Pioneer 3800 bhs. The mounting tabs do require a little modification. The wings don't match the mounting holes exactly. What i did was cut a notch(with tin snips) in the center of outer edge on both sides, creating a u shape. The screw has a big enough head on it that it will hold it in place tightly.
Pros: Fits nicely in opening. Great sound for such a small speaker.

I'm sure these would sound good if they fit in my '15 WRX. It's the only listed fit for the dash speakers listed on Crutchfield, and they are far from fitting the dash speakers. I ended up returning the entire order because I wasn't informed that there are other speakers that are made specifically for my car by Kicker. I'll order the Kicker speakers upgrades from elsewhere since I wasn't even offered an exchange for the wrong sized speakers. My first bad experience with Crutchfield.

Only Dash Speakers Available for 2002 Toyota Camry
Jeff from Los Angeles, CA on 9/23/2017
These speakers replaced the 15 year old factory speakers mounted in the dash. Not many options available to fit in the Camry dash and only one choice at Crutchfield. Access to the mounting area is tight due to the windshield and removal of the factory speaker is tricky since the harness is zip-tied. I had to clip a v-shape from the Memphis PRX27's bracket mounting screw holes (on both sides) due to the factory mounting bolts being larger than the Memphis bracket screw holes. I cut the factory harness from the removed speakers and spliced to the PRX27 bare wires. On the factory speakers, red is positive and black negative which is not the same color scheme coming from the factory mating harness. I did not notice a significant improvement in sound after installing however they sounded good. They are powered off of an Alpine CDE-W265BT head unit (only with no external amp). Perhaps adding an amp in the future will change the sound from "good" to "great".
Pros: Nice little replacement speaker
Cons: A little modification necessary to mount with factory bolts

I used these to replace the tinny, miserable oem dash tweeters in my 2014 Subaru Impreza. I decided to go with these 2 -way speakers instead of tweeters because 1) they fit and 2) the dash location is where you hear the most sound in the Impreza. (The other oem front speakers are down near feet level). These little Memphis 2-ways did the job. I hear them much more than the muddy oem door speakers. The Memphis speakers made a huge difference in sound quality, and were an easy install. The sound quality is clear and crisp. Until I have time to replace the 6.5" door speakers, I'm still able to enjoy decent sound thanks to these little beauties!
Pros: Easy to install. Good fit. Clear and crisp sound for their size. Great for the price! Exceeded expectations!

I can't recommend these.
Adam from Cedar City, UT on 5/11/2017
2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
If you're planning on running these with the factory head unit, don't waste your money. The don't sound any better than the stock dash speakers, and in fact, they are much quieter. I'm sure if you have an after market head unit, and/or some accessory power to these, they would sound better. After talking to a car audio installer, it sounds like the stock speakers are 2 ohm, and these are 4 ohm. That difference makes them sound quieter. I have to turn the volume up much louder just to get the same level as the stock speakers. I know its not Crutchfield's responsibility to tell you this, but some sort of notification would have been nice. Since there were no wiring adapters available, there's no way to tell how these will sound without cutting the stock wires and installing them (and once you do that, there's really no turning back) Installation of these was also a pain in the butt. They don't really fit, even though they tell you they do. You can get one screw in, but the other one will not even be close. I had to cut out part of the screw mounting bracket on the speaker which allowed just enough room to get the other screw in, while just barely covering part of the bracket to hold the speaker down. The supplied directions were nice, as always, but overall the effort involved in this and the lack of reward is only worth 2 stars....at best.
