Customer Q&A

5 questions already asked

Q
I have 2 Rockford Fosgate R2D2 Shallow mount subs bridged to this amp. Is that the correct wiring method?
danny  Jul 20, 2022
1 answer
A
Your Rockford Fosgate R2D2 in 10" or 12" are 2ohm dual voice coil, Danny. You need to be very careful how you wire those to this amp, as you could damage it wiring improperly. These mono amps are super confusing because they do have two sets of output lugs, but you cannot actually bridge them. To wire correctly you'll need to make sure your sub box setup is wire in series/parallel configuration. This would allow you to connect both to the Memphis and run it at the optimum 2 ohms. This handy link below is our subwoofer wiring calculator, you just punch in your gear and it will show you a diagram! It's super handy just for confirming you've got all your wiring in order! https://www.crutchfield.com/learn/learningcenter/car/subwoofers_wiring.html

Q

tim  Sep 23, 2020

A
Id go a lil bigger on amp but thats just me i can tell you that it is a solid amp its pushing a skar 12 svr series 800 watt rms and ive made a 3 hours trip several times even in the heat of summer and never got hot and shut off

Q
Why does it say RCA preamp inputs only and the picture clearly shows a high level input?
shane  Jul 11, 2020
1 answer
A
I apologize, but I am not seeing the inputs you are referring to. The only speaker wire terminals I can see are the 2 pair of screw-down terminals which are internally wired in parallel to help make it easier to connect two subwoofers. We have advisors that you can reach by calling 1-800-324-9695 who are happy to discuss your goals and preferences to give you a personal recommendation

Thanks for your question. For information on selecting the best sub I would recommend reaching out to an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to help determine the differences between the models and help you make the best choice for your system.
