Really nice unit. Was just perfect for my system. Plus was able to get to all my plugs without getting in behind my cabinet. Very good quality.

Pros: Got on sale. Had lots of features for the same price as the less expensive models.

Cons:

Nice line conditioner

August from Muskego, WI on 8/26/2024

The item is a LOT smaller than my last line conditioner and it has more protection. I have no complaints about it, other than no ability to turn the lights off completely on the front. They are not super bright, but bright enough.

Pros: Size, level of protection, no hum

Cons: Lights can not be dimmed enough for my liking

Live and learn

Replaced a 15 years old power conditioner which had absorbed one power surge too many. The new ELAC has more capability than the old unit at a quarter of the size. The front outlet initially appeared to be a bad idea. Who wants a power cord coming out of the front of the equipment console. Less than a week later I was using the front outlet to test some gear and was very thankful to have it. Now I know...

Basic Component Surge Protector With Some Noise Filtration

Scott from Tempe, AZ on 9/17/2022

Verified employee review (What's this?)

This is my first experience purchasing a component style surge protector. I was looking to replace the strip suppressor that I previously connected my modest A/V system to. I looked at other products but couldn't justify their price. My main goal was to have something that would fit on my stand that could route power cables from the back to make things look a little nicer. I didn't really feel that I had a problem with "noisy" power, but if the filtering capabilities made any improvements to sound or video it would be a nice bonus. The lights on the front are pretty bright even at the lowest setting (they can't be turned off completely), and the power button is not dimmable. On my unit, at least, the power switch turns off everything except the front outlet. The unit does not produce a hum that other products are described as having. To my ears and eyes, the filtering does not seem to make a difference in my setup. The product appears to do what the setup guide specifies, and I am generally happy with it. However, it still seems a bit overpriced for what it is. Thus the reason for subtracting a star.
