Dead in 6 days
Eric from NEW ALBANY, OH on 1/14/2025
The speakers arrived 1 week ago on Wednesday January 8th, and they have already stopped working. I worked with KEF customer support and they have confirmed that this is a hardware issue. This is my second set of KEFs that had an issue (my first was the LS50 Wireless Gen 1). The product sounded amazing, looked amazing, and the app was great. But, I cannot recommend this brand. I will obviously be returning.

I couldn't believe digital music could be so easy, so satisfying.
William from LYONS, NJ on 10/31/2024
As a long time listener of original 50th Anniversary KEF LS50's paired an ARCAM. Amp, they are my favorite passive speakers for critical listening. Enter KEF LS60 Wireless; I did not think digital music could be so easy, so complete, so satisfying.I could not be happier. The internal Tri-Amping provides so much more than the original LS50's and ARCAM ever could. I have just begun breaking them in, enjoying everything I have sampled with clarity, heft and ease.
Pros: Extremely well packaged for safe shipping/transport Ease of unboxing, installation and networking 8M (25ft) Interconnect cable length (appreciated) KEF Connect App brings it all together perfectly?UPnP works great with Mac/FireStream AirPlay provides simple multi-room listening Titanium Grey is subtle, beautiful

Easy Endgame Excellence
John from Mobile, AL on 9/17/2024
First off Crutchfield was excellent as always. The speakers were double boxed and very secure. The freight shipper who delivered them was also great and helped me get the box into my carport. You will need two people or a dolly to move the big box, once opened there is a box for each speaker that one person can move but it would be much easier with two people. The factory boxing itself is very smart, super easy for one person to unbox and put the speakers in place. After unboxing I just plugged in the speakers and downloaded the Kef Connect app which directed me to the Google Home app to find the speakers, then back to the Kef Connect app to update firmware. Additionally I connected the speaker to HDMI directly from my TV. I setup the speakers to power up when the TV is turned, and when watching TV I can control the volume of the speakers with my TV remote (Sony). For music I'm using Spotify which connects quickly and works without issue. The sound is what you'd expect from KEF: linear and true to the source with wide dispersion. Sounds great from multiple seating positions or even when walking around the room. My room is large so I don't get much pressurization but there is a satisfying midbass punch and I can clearly hear all the bass frequencies if not feel them. I couldn't be more pleased with the sound, functionality, and ease of setup. Lots of options in the app to tweak the sound. I love them!

Unusable but they look good
Guest from RALEIGH, NC on 4/24/2024
Don't bother. They won't stay connected on my network, no matter what I do. They worked fine for a week or so but started disconnecting from my network occasionally and now they disconnect within hours of getting them back one e. Trying to convince KEF to just take them back because at this point, they're simply living room decor.

Very happy
Willard from Bloomington, IL on 4/23/2024
These speakers met every expectation and more. Prior 5 star reviews were spot on. Crutchfield service and delivery was pain free. Streaming from Tidal was seamless. I am not sure why anyone would want or need a separate receiver or amplifier when the sound is this good streaming from my iOS device.
Pros: Amazing sound and clarity. Very robust (and heavy) speakers. Beautiful aesthetics. I hear the subwoofer adds to the sound but it sounds great without the subwoofer.
Cons: Difficulty maintaining wireless connection unless the two speakers are wired together. This could probably have been overcome with a WiFi extender but once they were connected together with the provided cable, all dropped signals stopped.

Loving my KEF LS60's...
Jeffrey from Ocean Springs, MS on 4/10/2024
My experience with Crutchfield was outstanding. This was an outlet purchase with full warranty. Speakers appeared to have never been unboxed. They arrived a day early and were brought inside my home. They look and sound fantastic.
Pros: The sound is even better than expected from something so small. Well worth the purchase considering your phone is the only other thing you need as the KEF Connect app supports several major streaming services natively.
Cons: The full owner's manual should be included. Wireless functionality not easy to achieve with a Google Pixel phone. Two page, 4-step quick start "manual" is useless. To sync w/any Android phone w/Google Home, you must: 1. Go to Google Home, 2. Go to Devices, 3. Choose "Add", 4. Choose Google Nest or partner device, 5. Wait for the LS60's to populate and follow instructions.

The future of home audio is here.
Leonard from Dallas, TX on 3/22/2024
After reading and watching a number of reviews, I was curious if these beauties would live up to the hype. Well, I must say that they do. They blew away by Triangles and Elacs, both of which are excellent speakers, particularly at their price points. The KEFs fill-up our large den (which has lots of hard surfaces and opens to the kitchen on one side and, thus, is a difficult listening area to tackle) with a very full but easy to listen to sound, no matter the genre and even when cranked up. The separation and clarity is simply amazing. On top of sounding spectacular, they were very easy to setup and even integrate with my home audio video system and very easy to use.

Guillermo from Austin, TX on 3/15/2024
Unpacking was as easy as I had read, really well thought out. Install was a breeze, just connect a couple of power cables and network cables. Then they show up in the app without any effort. They also showed in AirPlay immediately. Still breaking them in but sound quality is really good already and stage is pretty wide as advertised. You will not need a subwoofer unless you have room issues, they produce more than adequate tight bass without help. About sources, sound quality was very good with Apple Music through AirPlay, it is a shame Music is not built in. Amazon music wasn't great and Tidal was hit and miss, some pieces sounded the best I have heard on them and some pieces were actually bad. I have a Sonos system including soundbar, surrounds and a sub that for TV works really great but for music they can't touch the LS60.
Pros: Takes little space Great Looks Great Sound Easy setup
Cons: Four feet tend to limp, there is not adjustment other than loosening them No info about quality of stream being played

Excellent sound, but they definitely need to be "broken in". I have had them set up for a few days now and they did not sound "great" at first out of the box until I played them for multiple hours. Very clean highs and good bass. KEF-Connect very easy to use and setup is easy also. Their sound is still changing (for the better) as break-in continues. By the way, Crutchfield delivery and box holding these (yes one big box held both boxes for the speakers) was excellent.

An Absolute Bargain
Crutchfield customer from Wellington, FL on 1/3/2024
Phenomenal speakers!!! The have the following qualities: Extremely accurate (I measured them with REW). Dynamic The bass is clean and tight, and extends down to 20 Hz in my room. There is no need for a subwoofer whatsoever. My room is 11.6' x 13.6' x 12', and the speakers are capable of playing way louder in my room than I ever will listen to them. They may not fill a large room with extremely high volume levels, though. If high volume bass is required in a large room, the speakers do have subwoofer outputs.
Pros: Accurate Dynamic Clean, tight bass Bass extension to 20 Hz Amplifiers and DACS are built into the speakers.
Cons: May not produce extremely high volume levels in large rooms.

High Quality and Versatile HiFi
Daniel from Yorba Linda, CA on 9/2/2023
Sound quality is superb with excellent spatial imaging after minor adjustments using KEF Connect app. After a few weeks of listening, added the KEF KC62 subwoofer and the dynamic presence is perfect for my preferred music types (classical and pre-2K). Was very good without KC62 from a auditory standpoint but now have full experience feeling the low end in a very precise way without boominess. Very convenient package - just connect Ethernet cable for Tidal streaming (better than Wi-Fi) and control with KEF Connect app on iPhone/iPad. Also have it connected to a Marantz SACD player and prefer the sound of its DAC over the KEF built-in DAC for discs, but this is a very subtle difference and admittedly subjective. Also prefer to keep speakers connected to each other with included Ethernet cable (did not try wireless). Extremely slim cabinets and white color, along with a very small white subwoofer, make this system disappear into the backdrop. Overall, no regrets and enjoy re-discovering old songs/pieces again with new details that this system uncovers.
Pros: Excellent spatial imaging and amazing dynamic presence, especially after adding KC62 subwoofer
Cons: LS60 remote control activates my KEF LSX speakers attached to my computer in the same room (and vice versa, the LSX remote turns on the LS60). Luckily, I never need to use both simultaneously and they run separate sources. As long as one turns on while the other turns off, I suppose that's convenient?

KEF LS60 Wireless
Alexander from Pleasant Hill, CA on 8/22/2023
I mean... just listen to them! Stunning. Integration is wonderful. Bass is... sufficient. It depends on the location in your house, room layout, settings, etc... But these are stunning. Clear. Uncover detail, instruments, and thats even just on 320kbps Bluetooth. Now run lossless to it, jaw dropping stuff. I listened to high end separates stuff for B&W, Martin Logan, many things.... even Devialet, all lovely but not for me. You know you are a Kef person when it speaks to you and this is so immersive it feels like you are right in the recording room with the artists, like my missus told me, and I agree. Truly something special. I added the KC92, and it was... divine.
Pros: Many
Cons: Cant think of any. Price. Weight. Maybe.

DO NOT BELIEVE THE HYPE
Jason from Goodyear, AZ on 7/29/2023
After seeing all the glowing reviews on YouTube and elsewhere online, I decided to try a pair. I have been using a pair of Devialet Phantom I (108) with the Devialet Arch for network connectivity as well as a Bluesound Node 2i and Mytek Brooklyn+ DAC. This LS60 was supposed to allow me to connect to my music (Tidal) with the KEF Connect app and thereby allow me to sell off the other pieces of gear and basically have just a pair of speakers with a power cord and network cable. First off... I hooked these up and connected to my network and ran music through them for about 50 hours before ever actually sitting down to seriously listen. Once I did, I was not thrilled at all. Sounded basically OK and had decent, controlled bass. I spent hours moving them around... forward, backward, in and out, toe in, toe out, etc. They never came alive. The sound was veiled and not "open" or "large" at all. Compared to the Devialet Phantoms (very similar price) it was not even close. You can hear the cabinet. Then the app... wow. If you use Tidal and have playlists (I have about 20 separate playlists), you will not be able to use Tidal Connect through the app if you have large playlists. On most of my playlists, I would simply get an error "COULD NOT LOAD CONTENT". I finally realized that the KEF Connect app cannot handle more than 1,000 tracks. The Bluesound Node can at $550. Meaning that the streamer in this speaker is not very good. Simply not at all worth the
Pros: Nice looking, solid build, nice, clean bass output
Cons: The spikes suck - the wrench supplied actually bent trying to get the stupid spikes in, the remote is ridiculous, the app sucks... many times I could not even access my music or the speaker settings because the KEF Connect app would drop the speakers. I had to go as far as to turn the speakers off and restart everything to get going again... unacceptable at this price. Even if the speakers sounded fantastic, the software & app are so bad, there is no way that I could keep them.

KEF LS60 Wireless
Alan from Tucson, AZ on 3/3/2023
The positives: Excellent bass (similar to the Dutch and Dutch) and even sounded better without the addition of my two ML Depth I subs. Pinpoint imaging which is a result of the point source technology. The negatives: While chamber music and small jazz combo recordings sound convincing, large scale orchestral pieces sound small as compared with my Martin Logan 11a's. The reviews that say they sound like "Blade 2 lites" could be correct. My problem is the "lite" part. The wide dispersion necessitates more padding at room reflection points. The frequency response, in my room, is not as smooth as the Martin Logan 11a's. The line source dipole Logan's greatly reduce the room interference which is quite noticable by comparison.

Location, location, location
Jeffrey from Cincinnati, OH on 2/9/2023
I already owned LS50 Wireless. Was as simple as could be. To jump into streaming there is no easier path if you're starting from zero - no equipment. Sound from those little things is stunning. Had another situation where I wanted improved sound: Six-sided, 30'x40' room, 15 ft ceiling, several open arches, no way to run wires without a lot of work, lots of hard surfaces. 4 Inherited 6x9" in-wall speakers with a 12" Polk sub were very unsatisfying. My degraded hearing demands "clean", with punch. When KEF introduced the LS60 seemed like a no-brainer. They are heavy, so make sure you position them close to where they will sit before unboxing, which is very well designed/simple (watch the video on KEF's website). Placement is CRITICAL! Initially I had to place them fairly close together (5') while I waited for longer Audioquest power and Ethernet cables to arrive. Sound was unexpectedly poor. Had KEF missed on these or was it the room? Once they were moved apart everything opened up, bloomed. Even my wife commented on the night-and-day difference. There's plenty of base without a sub. Will depend on your room/settings/preferences. Can only imagine how these things would kick in a more conventional room, considering their performance in my "Frankenstein" setting. Speakers wired together and a wired Ethernet connection make a noticeable difference. Streaming from Tidal Hi-Fi (best quality) mostly. Bluetooth, Bluesound Node (coax) also very good.
Pros: Simplicity, KEF wizardry/quality
Cons: Not a con, but placement very important

The LS60 Wireless are a dream! Every type of music we throw at these speakers is handled beautifully, whether at low or high volume. The listening room has vaulted ceilings and a lot of glass. Although we loved the LS50 Wireless II speakers we had prior to these, we now realize they perform much better in a smaller room. The speakers arrived in packaging that allows one person to easily set these up. We are so happy we made this purchase-worth every bit of the cost!

Actively Happy
John from Kilauea, HI on 8/9/2022
This "active speaker" move was a big step for me. I have gone from a full McIntosh stack powering Martin Logan CLX speakers that were paired with JL Audio Fathom 212 subs to these. For those with the means, space, and patience, it is hard to beat. Moving away from that clearly leaves a bit of a void and major tradeoffs. However, for the price, simplicity, and footprint gain, I recommend the LS60s accepting the fact that these active wonders are an apples to oranges kind of comparison to a carefully curated component system. If you have the means, space, and enjoy the endless pursuit of personal audio perfection, go the component route. If not, it's hard to imagine beating these LS60s for all the reasons noted. The ultimate comparison for the LS60s is probably the Buchardt A700s. I tried a pair of A700s and was favorably impressed. Their customer service, sound, and flexibility are all outstanding. I reluctantly returned them in favor of the LS60s and feel I made the right choice for my personal circumstances and taste.

First impressions
Trevor from Boston, MA on 7/8/2022
After 24 hours of trying these out in my living room, here are my thoughts: In terms of sound quality, these are an absolute dream. Every source I've tried-music, movies, games-comes through crystal clear with deep, impactful bass. The stereo soundstage is immersive. You can hear both speakers clearly from anywhere in the room, not just in a narrow "sweet spot." And the option to connect a subwoofer (or two) is nice, but unless you have a very large room, you won't feel any need for one. Aesthetically, the LS60's hyper-modern looks are definitely attention-grabbing. Whether that's a pro or a con is a matter of taste. Personally I'd like to see see some more naturalistic finish options. I know it's not KEF's style to drape their speakers in beige fabric or wood veneers, but they'd fit in better in most living rooms that way. The only issues I've had are around HDMI connectivity. Most notably, my LG TV doesn't recognize the speakers when they wake up from standby mode, so I have to manually switch the TV's sound out to HDMI eARC every time I turn it on. I've reported this to KEF support and I'm crossing my fingers for a firmware update to fix it. If that happens, I'll happily update my rating to 5 stars.
