This is a pretty cool add on especially in the longer vehicles like the Yukon XL that I have. Gives you a very wide view and a clear clean picture even with very low level light at night time. I'm very satisifed and would recommend it.

I installed this camera on a 10 challenger. Visibillity is not good behind the chally backing up. The install took less than an hour and now visibility is excellent night and day when backing up.

Installed on an 06' F-150 Super Crew with 5.5' bed. I used the Alpine license plate adapter as well. I recommend using blue loctite threadlocker on the screw to seat the cam into the LP adapter. Make sure not to use the threadlocker on the screws that allow the camera to swivel... I also used a spray plasti-dip to coat the connection between the cam and the extension wires and put them in 1/2" wire loom. I ran the wires over the bumper and under the gate, over the spare wheel and finally drilled into the cab on the side of the rear seat. I used a rubber grommet and a silicone caulk to ensure a seal. I mounted the control module on the inside of the lower seat support with industrial velcro. There was plenty of wire (short bed perhaps?) The picture looks great day and night. THe field of view is excellent. The only thing that would have put in the elite category is to have built in side and length markers in the picture. For this price, that should have been included.

(2006 F-250 Crew Cab Diesel Short Bed) Connected this to a Kenwood DNX-9140. So far, this handles the freezing temps, snow, road salt, and the car wash bays well (NE PA). I pull a travel trailer every where I go and coupling up is stupid easy now. I did research by reading the Crutchfield reviews before my purchase and there are definitely cheaper ones out there, but "you get what you pay for!!" The camera feed cable to the stereo is a standard RCA jack, so don't worry about proprietary connections, fully interchangable. I also mounted this to the ALPINE license plate bracket, which puts my hitch at the center of the screen and seems more of a solid mount beside the sticky back tape. However, I did NOT have enough cable between the control box to the camera (even with the extension cable) to mount in the cab, below the front seat. Instead, I mounted the control box outside the cab, zip-tied on top of the driver's side frame rail just below the rear seat floor board and since the main wire harness runs along side this rail (inboard) the reverse lamp wire is there to tie in to. It is still clean, no wetness from road spray while driving in the rain.

This is a great backup camera at night. The low light levels work great.
