I have installed two of these units in a harley FLTR. In the first case I had to remove and replace the HU when moisture got behind the screen cover. The unit performed flawlessly when driven through a PDX6 amp. Tough application for a stereo designed to be used inside a vehicle but the alpine has performed well in every instance. The red/blue illumination feature was a huge plus.

I paired this with the KTP 445 power oack and 4 MM571 Polks in my 01 Lincoln Town car. All I have to say is that for the first time in my life... a purchase has exceeded my expectations!!! THANKS CRUTCHFIELD and to the great products I received from the above mentioed manufacturers.

I bought this for Christmas, got it hooked up with the help on the amazing Crutchfield crew. When I got it all hooked up, in my 04 Dodge Durango, WOW it just looked amazing and produced a much better sound than the factory. The screen is just great, being able to have all my music right at my finger tips. Its very easy to navigate through my music. I now have it hooked up to 2 10' alpine subs and a 1000 watt amp and its GREAT. I would recommend this product to anyone!

I installed this HU in January. I loved it the minute I started using it and, after 3 months of use, I have decided that I made the right purchase. This is a great unit for those looking to navigate iPod/iPhone. I use iPhone 3Gs. I have the bluetooth option and use it regularly. It was easy to pair with my phone, and I have no trouble synching it.
Navigation is smooth. I can see all of my calls and browse phone numbers. However, it is difficult to return to music selection after navigating bluetooth calling. I can quickly find a song by scrolling song by song or a page at a time. I can search by song, artist, etc. just like the iPod. It recognizes my playlists and can shuffle songs.
I enjoy pandora and have created a few stations for listening. I have also added several songs to my iTunes playlist after marking them using the Pandora bookmark option with this HU.
I like the display screen. Alpine has a webpage with dozens of downloadable images for the display. I chage my display image every couple weeks. I am less than happy with alpine because of the difficulty in contacting their tech support. I had trouble using the image change option (finally found out that the HU was not compatible with my memory stick - apparently it is not compatible with certain brands). Neither Crutchfield nor I had success contacting a live person at alpine tech support.

I brought this unit. It's work great about 3 months. I use this thru a USB thumb drive. After three months, I had problem with the device. Before It played a song and I turned off my car, It automatic continue playing the song that I left off. But now it started over at the beginning. I don't know if it a thumb drive or what, but it's cause me a lot of headache. Sound is good. Bluetooth could need a lot more improve (waiting for time to connect.)
