This amp is great, ive tried six different amps before i got to this one. Ive had sound ordnance 4075,polk pa 660, alpine mrp-f300, kenwood kac 8405, infinity kappa four, jbl 80.2. None of these compare to this amp once i got it. The sound ordnance is a great amp, i just didnt like the size of it for in my trunk. The infinity kappa is a great amp but draws a lot of power from car. I had all these amps matched up to infinity kappa 62.9i and 692.9i and none of them satisfied me until i got to this alpine mrx-f30. I finally blew the kappa 62.9i with this amp and then i recently purchased the polk mm651 and mm691, and these are great. The amp actually puts out more than 100w x 4 at 2 ohms, and 60w at 4 ohms. i can turn the cd player up the whole way and the amp gain is pretty well at the farthest spot, and there is no distortion just loud music. GREAT AMP, crystal clear. buy it.

I've owned a couple of Alpine amps in the past and was always impressed by how clean the sound was, the amount of low-end power they could produce, and how cool the amp itself would stay even after a couple of hours of driving. This new MRX-F30 amp has lived up to the Alpine reputation with those same attributes. I wanted to beef up the sound in my 2011 Jeep Wrangler, so I now have this amp mounted under the passenger side seat- the amp's compact size makes for a PERFECT fit in that location- powering a JL Audio 8" sub in the factory sub enclosure, (off 2 bridged channels) and a pair of aftermarket Infinity speakers in the overhead sound bar. What a drastic improvement! I can actually HEAR the rear speakers now- an infamous issue any Wrangler owner can attest to- and the bass this amp feeds to the sub is clean and clear. The variety of EQ tools on this unit make it very easy to customize the sound to your tastes too, which is great. I left the amp from the factory Infinity system in to continue powering the 4 front speakers, so between that and my new powered rear components, I've finally tweaked the perfect driver's seat sound stage!

Great product but there is only one thing that may be a deal breaker for most but wasn't for me, the amp runs strong but it has no inner cooling system so if you are putting it in a tight space you may notice some heat. I have a good size 97' 4runner so I easily mounted it in the trunk with plenty of air room so unless I get right next to it I never notice, this however doesn't affect the quality of sound the amp may be hot at times but it puts out great quality sound.
