I bought this remote for my iDA-X100. It works fine, after I discovered you have to depress the "OFF" button to turn the unit on and off, while the owner's manual sez to use the SRC button.
The switch membrane also seems to stick occasionally, which can result in constant transmission.
But otherwise, it works like a champ, and I like the idea of a small waterproof remote that uses RF rather than IR for marine use - which means you can use it outside.

I purchased this unit hoping to control my Head Unit from the water. It works from a pretty good distance . . .but I have to push the buttons quite a bit. Almost like they are not working 100% of the time. Kind of bites cuz if you hold the remote and the volume goes WAY up. I have about 2000 Watts RMS (need to be able to bring volume down quickly) on my boat, it takes a good while for the volume to go down. The buttons stick a little also. I am going to call crutchfiedl tech support as I am thinking the battery may be weak. For now, I am giving it a middle of the road rating. Maybe with a new battery I will change my tune. I really like alpine gear.
