I installed these speakers in my 1998 Chevy Silverado Extended Cab to go with the Alpine CDE-124SXM deck and Alpine KTP-445 powerpack. The difference in sound between the stock speakers and the SPS-510s is like night and day. The highs are crisp and clear and the bass is deep enough for my liking. I can't say that the installation was easy, but it was not rocket science. The door panel removal tools are a definite need for this job. The instructions were clear and concise, but it would be really nice if the Crutchfield team put together a YouTube video.

Alpine speakers in a Jeep |

My 98 Wrangler had stock audio throughout until I swapped the stock speakers for these Alpines. Of course, I was skeptical because the Jeep has the acoustic quality of a cereal box in a wind tunnel. (how much difference could there really be?)... A world of difference! I matched the speakers with a 133bt head unit .... Again skeptical..... But again pleasantly surprised. No dropped calls and real clarity in hearing the spoken word and in the reproduction of each possible modality....iPod, pandora over my Android, and CDs too.

Installed them into my 03 Subaru WRX. Install was a breeze and they sound nice! Yes these aren't the biggest speakers I could put in, but my wallet is also not the biggest. Pretty good back for you buck. Crutchfield included spacers and speaker adapters to work with my stock speaker plugs so that was good. Problem was that I knew for a fact that the speaker spacers wouldnt work too well. Instead I picked up a front/rear speaker spacer combo from IA Performance. This allowed me to instal the 5 1/4 speakers into a 4inch space AND they gave me necessary clips/plugs to securely remount my door panels to accommodate bigger speakers. Same with the front, thicker spacer from IA performance allowed door card to mount properly and have proper clearance. The other upgrades left for my audio is to get a subwoofer(s)/enclosure/amp.

I am running these off my stock system in my 2004 cadillac cts and wow what a difference it made!. The only thing that i found a little funny was that the basket for the speakers is plastic and not metal like ones ive used in that past, but it does make them really light so thats nice too. And as always Crutchfield gets A+ for there great customer support.
