Great Amp for Entry-Mid Level Subwoofers!! |

This amplifier I use to power 2 300W JL Audio Subwoofers and let me tell you
this thing is impressive. Just watch out it draws a lot of power! Make sure you
have a capacitor or extra battery nearby if you plan on pushing this thing to peak.
With the internal fans, even after hours of being at or near RMS, this amplifier
does not cut out, get softer or anything.
To hookup, they give you two positive terminals to make a dual subwoofer setup
easy. Just note that behind the connector the two positive and two negatives are
connected. They are not separate channels.
Also the pre-amp outputs make chaining amplifiers together much simpler. I may
buy another, and not having to run more wires keeps me pleased.
For the price this is the amplifier for you!

When you buy any subs to their max watts in-between the what the amps does equal amount of feedback from the subs handle in the circuit board sending a circuit holds the amps juice back from letting the sub work like it should to prevent the sub from blowing and over heating your amp

i have to say i've had two mtx amps in the past and this amp just blows them away. i have it powering a kappa perfect 12vq sub and it does it easily. you can run it hard for a long time and it stays cool the entire time. the only thing about this amp that actually confused me is that it has outputs for two subs, like two channels, but the book they give you doesnt tell you how much each of them suppplies when both used. just what it can do in a mono hookup. o well, still an amazing amp!

Recently bought this amp, and have it hooked up to a single Rockford Fostage Power
Stage 1 10'' sub (600 rms at 2 ohms.) Handles it with zero problem...after continuous
use, it barely gets warm. The blue light looks really cool too.
