I liked the looks of this, the specs seem excellent, and it did put out good sound for about 18 months. It started hissing on me, I took it to an installer and they troubleshooted the entire system and narrowed it to the amp. Kind of an expensive piece to only get a year and 1/2 out of it. I am going back to Rockford, I have sold 3 cars that had them in it for years before I sold them and the RF's are probably still working.

Sounds good for its price and power range, I've been using for for over 2 years without any issues.

The amp would be wonderful. It worked well until just like another reviewer an internal defect caused one channel to quit working completely. Best to avoid Infinity amps completely in my experience. Other very cheap amps purchased at the same time as this one continue to work just perfectly. This one has been completely taken care of... Skip Infinity.

Installed this amp in place of my good ol' JBL Power Series Amps (the best amps ever built! - but I had 3 of them) to save room. At first it was great! Then after 4 months the left rear channel developed a cold solder joint inside the amp. Now it is a super annoying piece of junk!
Since JBL and Infinity are the same company, I was hoping for another quality piece of equipment like my old P180.2, P80.2, and BP300.1. Those were quality Korean made! This is falling apart after a few months of use.

This amp replaced a old 4-channel. I decided to add a second set of coax drivers in my wifes 03 Mazda Protege. The amp is driving a set of Polk db series 6x8's up front, db 6 1/2's in the rear doors and a set of 6x9 subs in the rear deck. All channels are at 4ohm load. Power is good and I love all the controls the amp gives ( hi/low crossover points, internal or external signal feed for the sub, etc.) It is a big slab of metal, with no cooling fins, it has to be big. The amp handles the high volume well, but will require lots of room to breath (dont stick it under a seat). This one sits snug, in the left rear area of the trunk where its out of the way and the controls are easy to reach.
Great product. Crutchfield rocks!!
