I have a 89 Iroc-Z 28 Camaro convertible with the 5.7. with the top down plus the Flow Master exhaust, I had trouble hearing the JL Audio 6 1/2" two ways I installed. Don't get me wrong, they sound great but just didn't put out the bass enough for me to hear. I needed 10" because the "trunk" isn't big enough to fit anything bigger. After reading the reviews I decided that these were the best for the price, and trust me, they are. I have these bad boys hooked up to my JL Audio G Series G1700 amp and the bass they kick out is amazing. With the top down and driving at 75 on the highway, I can still feel the bass. For the size and price, can not be beat. 100% recommended to anyone and everyone.

Wow, just installed this today and.... WOW! This sub is awesome! Decided on this sub from all the great reviews, and they were all right on! Had a small space to work with under the back seat of my '05 F150 super crew, so i built a sealed enclosure to the JL spec's of .625 cu ft and it sounds better than i ever imagined. Powering it with a Sub Ordnance M-1500, 300w rms at 4ohms and paired up with 4 Polk DB571's and a JVC KW-HDR720 receiver. The JVC receiver n Polk's were in for about a week and sounded real clear but lacked any real bass. Installed this sub and now this system just blows me away! A previous review said this sub "hits hard, could feel the 'punch' and made his hair move", he couldn't have been more right cause i felt it too! can't wait to hear/feel this kickin' sub after it's broke in. Very happy with this sub and Crutchfield and all of the Crutchfield advisors!

I just bought these JL w1v2 subs two days ago and to be honest, i was a little disappointed. They didnt "hit" or "punch" the way i was looking for. I have two of these 10's in a custom made box fit to spec in a 2008 Mazda 3 Sedan being powered by 400 watts @ 2ohms ( I know, a little underpowered considering the RMS rating for one sub is 300watts, but according to JL's recommended power chart, they're perfect) after a little tuning on the amp and head unit AND after breaking in....WOW these things hit so hard! they'll give you that "punch" feeling in your chest and when I play dubstep, my hair moves! 100% recommend if you want tight, accurate, crisp, (and the occasional) hair moving bass, dont hesitate, buy these!! they hit all the frequencies perfectly!!!

Well, where do I start? I've owned two of these subwoofers for 4 months, and WOW! I put them in my 1998 Ford Ranger Extended Cab, and I put them in a box that took up the entire back seat area! I gave them probably more room than needed but they hit Hard and Tight!
Some friends came over with their systems, and I can tell that mine could hit notes much harder and crisper than theirs by quite a bit. Also for long sustained notes, this baby does just fine.
I listen often to "popular" music which is generally hip-hop to dance, and these subs are just great!
Although the subs are great, you need something powering these bad boys. I used an Infinity Reference 600W x2ohm Mono amplifier [2 subs in series, 2ohms, so 600W =)] and these things never need more power. In fact I often find myself turning down the gain on my head unit as these things go above my door speakers(65watt infinitys!)
Entry-Mid Range Subwoofer, A+ Works great in small places, trucks, trunks, etc.
You will not be disappointed.
