replaced stock speakers in sound bar of my jeep with these speakers, stock reciever sounded great, then i replaced stock reciever with a pioneer and wow what a difference. speakers sound great no complaints about bass i have a sub in console

I bought these to replace four 5.25" speakers in my Cherokee Sport. I know they're only 5.25", but I was expecting better sound. These are very clear, but there is ZERO bass and the mids are also lacking. They sound like giant tweeters, lol. They're running off of an Alpine CDE-102.
Honestly, the 17 year old paper speakers put out a better, more full sound.

Speaker installation was easy. They sound good, but have little or no bass quality. This
could be due to the installation location (Jeep sound bar) more than the actual size or
quality of the speaker, so I won't rate them much lower because of it. The mids and
highs sound great. Overall, a quality product.

I used these to replace my factory speaker in the dash, after putting in a new head unit, though they are only 5 1/4" they seem to have good strong output and though i only listened to them for a short time in the garage, i listened to a motzart Cd and they had wonmderfull clear highs and good mids, acceptable bass. After all they are only 5 1/4'.
