The antenna system adheres to your window with its transparent film, and offers strong VHF and UHF reception. Auto Seek helps you find stations easily, and the 16-channel memory bank lets you save your favourites for easy tuning.

Note: The KTC-V300N tuner is for use with Kenwood video systems only; it can't be used as a stand-alone unit.

I was going to install this on my DDX 7017 so I emailed Kenwood to see if they would make a converter box to attach to this so it would work past 3/2009 when the US goes digital. Their response:

Thank you for contacting Kenwood USA Corporation. As an authorized agent for Kenwood, we are responding to your recent email inquiry.

The KTC-V300N is an analog only receiver; therefore after the nation goes through the digital conversion it will no longer be able to receive the TV broadcasts. Kenwood has announced that they are working on a new mobile digital TV tuner. However they have not released any information as far as a release date or model number.

this tuner gives vivid picture and wonderful sound if your in the right location.

I really hope they make a converter for this unit after Feb 2009

i have used 1 other tv tuner in the past (not name brand) and this unit is no different, it was below average in picture reception ,but one good thing is that wether or not the picture signal doesnt come in clear at all times, the sound does....im using it with a kvt-717dvd by the way
