I added this to replace stock rear deck speakers in an 2001 Audi A4. With the high level inputs and seperate gain controls this split the signal for the amp for the rear deck speakers and also a powered sub I put in the trunk.
Like I said, It works like it should.

Solid Crossover |

I bought this unit to use in a simple, medium powered system where my amp did not have built in crossover. This unit has a solid chassis and the controls feel good, not cheap. Plenty of gain is available from the hi and sub outputs.
Pros: Good build quality for the most part, no noticeable addition of system noise or altered frequency response, great adjustability, good specifications.
Cons: Somewhat flimsy terminals for power and ground.
I'd recommend this unit if you are looking for a simple crossover.

I've been building systems in my cars since the 80's. One of the problems was getting noise, (alternators, hissing) in the system. There are many "patch fixes" for this problem, but that's about it. Because the Kicker crossover has up to 5V outputs, this solves the problem. I have a system with a Kicker sub and Infinity Reference speakers. Because my amp is rated at the rms current for the Infinity's (and some Infinity Ref. tweeters I bought before they went to all 2 ohm component systems) I can turn the outputs all the way up and have absolutely no noise whatsoever in my system. I can also set the output at 60 Htz. and get the most mid-range out of the full range speakers. This is a definite must buy if you like your system to be sounding it's best. I run the low pass to an Alpine M450 mono amp/Kicker 12" enclosed sub, and again, the control over the frequencies is fantastic. No noise at all. This is a way better buy than an eq. As they say, "set it and foget it"
