These are pretty good speakers for the price. They were about what I expected for the
money. I replaced the stock 4x6s in my 05 silverado ext. cab. If the stock ones were a 5
out of 10. These kickers are about a 7 out of 10, and would probably sound even better
but i still have my stock radio which limits the performance of the better speakers.

Top quality speakers for a great price. Cost less than the local shop's base model speakers (a brand no one I know has used). Took a little wiggling to get them to fit behind the factory dash grills, but Crutchfield's fitment guide was correct again. They fit without any modifications.

I bought these Kickers for my '97 GMC Sonoma to replace my stock dash speakers.
They fit perfectly and have great sound--way better than stock. They sound good
over a wide range, including bass, mids, and highs. I wanted an easy upgrade
from stock without spending a lot and I got just that with these Kickers.
Crutchfield also sent detailed instructions, extra hardware, and a wiring
harness. It all fit great and was easy to install. Great sound for the price!

tired of popping factory 4x6 speakers with my clarion head unit in my 93 S-Blazer. I bought the kicker ds series replacements. they are noticeably louder than factory, probably due to the larger tweeter & oem's being 10 ohms. still had to turn bass settings down, but little speaker aren't low hz. friendly anyway. but its why i put an MTX road thunder 12 in a box with an amp. great value for the money as replacements at the parts stores were the same price. a no brainer? I think so. I would definitely buy them again.
p.s. I also bought the DS600's for the rear doors and are very happy with them also.

good speakers for the money but they cant handle high volumes...also they lack bass but the highs and mids are pretey good...i think its an ok speakers
