Through the last almost two decades I've owned everything from entry to mid- level equipment. Kicker, JL, and MTX subs and amps are the standouts to me by far.
I've been factory-radioing for the last four years but gained some newfound space without the need for a stroller and I've decided to use one of my old MTX Thunder6000(4ohm) subs in a sealed box. Ran some 8gauge for the power and decided on this amp since it "just about" matches the sub for power.
Newer model Impala SS, tapped into my rear speaker since I do not want to replace the factory head unit and purchase the nearly $200 in harnesses to do an aftermarket.... besides I DO enjoy my Bose interiors.. I know, I know, aftermarket stuff blows it away, but the Bose blows away other factory stuff, so it's win-win to me because I am on a budget.
Anyway, to shorten things up a bit.... I am a tad unsatisfied as I know the sub could bang way harder because I have an older Kicker ZR360 that I used to compare(it overheats within 10 minutes, thus the reason I bought the replacement MTX RFL202).... I know 200 < 360 but I still find myself saying this MTX should punch it a littler harder. ...
All in all, you get what you pay for.... for the price, a "good sounding" interior system. Virtually no bass is heard on the outside. ... but my days of flexing the trunk and doors are over simply because of financial responsibilities.... like children. :)
Just wanted to give an 'over-the-top' down to earth review.

Was looking for an amp to power a small sub in a friend's car and chose this one for the specs & fan cooling. Came with a power rating certification of the unit's actual performance vs. advertising claims, showing 229 watts vs. 200 advertised when in bridged mono mode. In 2 channel mode, it made 66 watts vs. 50 advertised. THD+N % @ 1 watt output (freq not given) was .086% vs. <1% advertised. For about 2 weeks now it has been easily & cleanly driving an 8" sub that provides a great sonic addition to the rest of the new system.

I was looking for an inexpensive amp to add more clarity in my wife's Hyundai. Boy, did I find one. Even at only 50 watts per channel, the Sound Ordnance speakers I purchased with it sound LOUD. I haven't heard amps and speakers that sounded this good in years. Although the enclosed instructions were minimal at best, it isn't hard to connect this amp up. Probably the best purchase I have done in quite a few years.
