A total piece of junk! It is a shame that Crutchfield has to do business with this company. I don't know where this was manufactured, but it had to come from a 5th world country. Most items of this nature are laser cut. I think this was cut by a chainsaw. There is nothing to describe how cheap the switches are. The orginial one that was sent didn't work worth anything. I was overnited a second one and they work, but not like the factory switches. Cheap, cheap, cheap!
The OEM plate had a "chrome" strip on both sides to match the rest of the car. Not this piece. The knobes are suppose to fit in the hols. Not this one.
It is to bad that someone can't design a kit to replace the OEM radio and still use the OEM cover. The folks at Crutchfield really went out of their way to make thing right.

Right off the batt, bad quality. For this price, I was expecting a nice piece of equipment. Oh, it does the job it's supposed to do, in short it holds an aftermarket radio, but that is where the pros end. If the price were less, then I would say it's a good bargain. But for the price, in my opinion, it is a poor value. All the buttons and knobs are flimsy and feel very cheap. The hazard button is difficult to press, and feels like it's going to break everytime I push it in. Who cares about the hazard button? I didn't until I installed this thing. The A/C control knobs feel like they were made for a little tykes baby toy. Who cares about A/C knobs? I didn't until I installed this thing. The lights on it are distractingly bright when driving at night. It's all the things I didn't care about that are now making me wish I hadn't purchased this thing. But what other choice do I have? Next time, custom installation. I have nothing against metra, but come on guys, a little workmanship here.

I can't believe that an installation kit that costs this much is so cheap and flimsy. The buttons are cheaply made. They feel nothing like the original mazda buttons. The hazard button is almost impossible to press, and it feels like a cheap piece of plastic. Nowhere near as nice as the stock mazda buttons. The knobs are also cheaply made, they don't click into place like the stock knobs do, neither do they have the nice rubberized grip or the chrome bezel that the stock ones do. The led lights are not the same color or quality. They are almost blinding when it's dark out, and do not look attractive at all. Overall about the only thing that does match is the color and texture, but any part that moves is just poorly made. I really can't believe that this product costs this much. I would highly recommend you spend $500 or $600 and get the original piece customized instead of wasting your hard earned money on something this poorly designed, and poorly made.

Pros: It works, the color is extremely close to factory and makes installation a breeze Cons: Button is disappointing, the hazard switch is hard to press. The A/C, air circulation and defrost button's are 'cheap' looking and seems bigger than the factory ones. Also the lightbulb that is used for lighting the 3 bottom circular adjustment knobs(not sure what else to call it) appear more orange rather than red. Does not have the silver lining on the side of the dash like the factory mazda 07 has so appears to be not as OEM as it otherwise would.
