For the price the sub is retailing for right now ($129), i feel like it should handle more power. The bass is very tight clean and responsive, but seems to be lacking certain tones. I would recommend jumping up to the p3, especially if your amp puts out ~250w, seems to peak sooner than it should. Bass tones flatten out at higher wattages too.
Bottom line, as long as it runs 3/4 rms power, you should be fine, much higher feels like it wants to muddy up and peak out. Very clean bass, and penetrates deeply, but in shorter intervals. Nice when hooked up in a pair.
i had it hooked up to an mtx amp that puts out around 375w (which is too much, but i have it turned way down and wired to a second sub)

Massive Bass |

This 10" sub is an excellent sub for scaring the little children and getting envious stares from those who wish they had one just like it. All music, from Rap, metal and even country will sound better with the added bass. There are many times that I have been listening to Disturbed and immediately changed to rap and been amazed at how universal it's bass quality is. For those who love deep penetrating bass this is the sub for you. I am looking into adding a capacitor to drive my amp and also a second P2 and see if I can make my windows crack. I have this hooked up to a sony two channel(xm-1252gtr 800 watt amp) bridged in mono, and this P2 bumps like crazy in my cavalier trunk in a ported box. The secret though is getting the wiring right. Terrific for the bass and also not bad to look at. The one problem that I had with it was that it was so asthetically pleasing that I wanted it to ride on the front seat with me all the time instead of having it sitting in the trunk, Great job at cleaning up the sub itself. It is amagnificent sub and one that I would recommend to anybody who is looking to add massive amounts or upgrade the quality of bass to any car audio system.
