If you're going to invest in marine speakers, you want to know you're getting speakers that can be heard over engine noise and wind roar. These Clarions will do exactly that, and you'll also be impressed with the depth and detail they bring to your tunes.
These full-range speakers will handle up to 60 watts RMS (200 watts peak) and they're tough enough to handle high volume all day long. With polypropylene woofer cones, 1" silk dome tweeters, and brawny magnets, these speakers have heft and quality that you'll notice the moment you take them out of the box. They come with white and grey metallic grilles, too, so you can choose the style that suits your boat.
Salt and Sun Certified
Clarion designs their marine gear to stand up to the worst Mother Nature can dish out. A rugged die-cast aluminum basket protects the entire structure, and the high-impact plastic grilles are UV-treated to resist punishing sunlight. A liquid drainage system designed into the structure keeps rain and spray from pooling up. All Clarion marine speakers are designed to meet or exceed industry standards for UV-ray, salt, fog, and moisture resistance.

Features
Marine Use: The speakers are tested to ensure they meet or surpass the ASTM-D4329 standard for UV stability and the ASTM-B117 standard for salt/fog resistance.
LEDs: There are multi colored LEDs behind the tweeter casing, to create a glow on the woofer cone. Depending on what combination of the three LED wires is connected, they can light red, green, blue, yellow, pink, light blue, or white. A +12 volt power supply is needed to turn the LEDs on and Clarion recommends each speaker's LED power wire be fused at 250 mA.
Grilles: Two pair of grilles are included; choose White or Gray Metallic.
Terminals: Both the audio signal (two wires, 18-gauge) and LED (four wires, 26-gauge) wires are routed through the included waterproof SuperSeal plugs.

Speakers sound great, and wired right into my Robalo boat wiring. Very nice base and full sounding, without adding a subwoofer.
