About the Clarion CMM-30BB

A hideaway hero
A hideaway hero
The Clarion CMM-30BB is the perfect receiver for small spaces and big systems. This hideaway "black box" receiver is designed to tuck out of sight and work with your boat's multi-function display (MFD) unit or select Clarion marine remotes. You can also integrate it into your boat's NMEA 2000 network. This versatile receiver includes built-in Bluetooth®, lots of connectivity options, and 4-channel pre-amp outputs, among other cool features.
Built-in Bluetooth® and more
With built-in Bluetooth 5.0 streaming, the CMM-30BB lets you stream music from your smartphone or any other Bluetooth device. You can plug your iPhone into the rear USB port and enjoy all your favourite MP3 or WMA tunes, plus album art. And you can also play tunes from your digital music player through the AUX input.
All set for SiriusXM®
If you're a SiriusXM satellite radio subscriber (or plan to be), the CMM-30 works with select SiriusXM tuners (sold separately, subscription required). You'll enjoy a vast selection of music, news, entertainment and sports programming, as far as 100 miles offshore.
Ready to go, ready to grow
Clarion built this rugged hideaway receiver to last, but it's also designed to deliver outstanding sound. The 5-band parametric EQ lets you adjust the highs, mids, and lows to suit your preferences, and you can use the built-in frequency filters and subwoofer controls to get the best possible performance from your system. The preamp outputs will allow you to expand your system in the future.
Four distinct audio zones
The CMM-30BB gives you four-zone audio control, so you can split the boat into four distinct areas to suit your needs. Each zone can be controlled by a compatible Clarion wired remote (sold separately).
Tune in terrestrial radio
Clarion's outstanding AM/FM tuner hauls in plenty of local radio stations, no matter where "local" happens to be. You'll also be able to get the latest on changing conditions from the NOAA Weather Band, including automatic reception of emergency info.
Bluetooth note: Use of this receiver's Bluetooth features will depend upon your phone's Bluetooth capabilities. Learn more in our article explaining Bluetooth profiles.
Note: The CMM-30BB can be exposed to spray, but cannot be submerged in water.
This marine digital media receiver will not play CDs.

Hideaway Marine Source Unit: The Clarion CMM-30BB is a hideaway marine source unit that can be mounted out of sight and controlled via a Clarion wired remote controller or compatible NMEA 2000 Multi-Function Display (MFD) - all sold separately. The hideaway marine source unit can be mounted under inside your boat's cabin, helm console, or storage locker. The unit features integrated mounting brackets and comes with four screws. The CMM-30BB measures 5.625" (w) x 2.0" (h) x 7.9375" (d).
Marine Certified: The Clarion CMM-30BB features an IP66-rated weatherproof construction design that protects the hideaway marine source unit from exposure to water-spray and dust. Utilizing UV-treated, durable, marine-rated materials, the Clarion CMM-30BB hideaway marine source unit is built to endure the harsh marine environment. It is built to exceed industry standards for salt-fog exposure (ASTM B117), UV exposure (ASTM D4329), and vibration resistance (3.0G) - ensuring excellent long-term durability.
Note: The CMM-30BB can be exposed to water-spray, but cannot be submerged in water.
Required Wired Remote Control (Sold Separately): The CMM-30BB hideaway marine source unit does not contain any controls or display, and requires a separate wired remote controller (not included). All control and display functionality of the CMM-30BB can be accomplished via a compatible Clarion wired remote controller (sold separately). The Clarion wired remotes are IP67-rated which protects them against water submersion (up to 3.3' for 30 minutes) and dust ingress. The CMM-30BB features an attached 9" proprietary remote cable, while the compatible Clarion marine wired remotes feature an attached 8" proprietary cable. In most applications, you'll need to extend the reach between the CMM-30BB and compatible Clarion marine wired remote. A 6' and 25' remote extension cable is available (sold separately). You can add up to two wired remotes using Clarion's CMC-RC-Y splitter (sold separately) or a maximum of three wired remotes using two of Clarion's CMC-RC-Y splitter (sold separately). The maximum total distance of all connected wired remotes should not exceed 75'.
- CM-R30: The CM-R30 is a full-function, wired remote control with an integrated high-contrast LCD segment display and back-lit rubberized buttons. This remote control perfectly complements the design of the CMM-30BB hideaway marine source unit.
- CMR-20: The CMR-20 is also a full-function, wired remote control with integrated high-contrast LCD segment display and back-lit rubberized buttons.
- CMR-10: The CMR-10 is compact wired remote control that offers basic control functions and back-lit rubberized buttons (no display).
Note: All of the wired remote controls, Y-splitter, and extension cables are sold separately. The Clarion CMM-30BB does not offer wireless remote control.
NMEA 2000 Certified: The Clarion CMM-30BB is NMEA 2000 Certified, allowing seamlessly integration with your boat's onboard NMEA 2000 network for control and two-way communication of the hideaway marine source unit directly from your boat's Multi-Function Display (MFD) device. Two-way communication between the hideaway marine source unit and your MFD allows source selection, song/track/album title, radio frequency and more to display on the MFD interface (including Garmin, Lowrance, and Simrad).
Note: Requires compatible NMEA 2000 entertainment protocols (PGN), and may also require a software upgrade of connected MFD device(s).
