Versatile amp

You can configure this amplifier as a 2-channel amp and send 280 watts each to a pair of tower speakers, for example. In 3-channel mode the amp can power a pair of speakers with 70 watts each and a sub with 280 watts. The onboard variable tone controls let you tailor the sound to match your particular speakers and subs.

Marine tough

Three decades of marine and powersports audio expertise goes into making each MB Quart marine amplifier. Conformal coating protects the internal circuits from water and dirt, while stainless-steel hardware resists corrosion in even the saltiest environments. MB Quart designed and tested this amp to stand up to the toughest conditions on the water and off the beaten path.

Product Research

Features

Overview: The NA3-560.4 4-channel amplifier is effectively two full range 2-channel amps built into one chassis. Each pair of channels, labeled channels 1/2 and 3/4, is independently bridgeable, so the amp can be wired as 4-channel, 3-channel, or 2-channel.

Control Panel: The control panel is protected by a cover to help keep the controls dry, and to prevent unwanted adjustments. The cover screws are removed with the included 2.5 mm Allen wrench. The rotary controls and recessed slide switches require the use of a narrow flat blade screwdriver (not included) to make adjustments. The channel 1/2 and 3/4 sections of the amplifier have independent, identical gain, crossover, and bass EQ controls.

  • Input Mode: 2-position switch; 2-channel (all four output channels fed using the channel 1/2 inputs), 4-channel (discrete inputs used for all four channels)
  • Turn-on Mode: 2-position switch; Remote (turns on when triggered by +12 volts DC on the blue wire), DC Sense (turns on/off with the presence of a speaker level input)
  • Gain: rotary controls; variable from 200mV to 9V
  • Crossover Type: 3-position switches; select low-pass, high-pass, or full-range
  • Crossover Frequency: rotary controls; variable from 50 Hz to 250 Hz
  • Bass EQ: rotary controls; variable from 0 to +9 dB

Connections:

  • Speaker Outputs: 10" eight wire harness; plugs into 6" pigtail attached to the amp; 18-gauge wire
  • Power: 10" three wire harness; plugs into 6" pigtail attached to the amp
    • +12 Volts: 10-gauge red wire
    • Ground: 10-gauge black wire
    • Turn-on: 18-gauge blue wire
  • RCA Inputs: two pair of stereo RCA inputs, each on the end of a 16" pigtail attached to the amp; compatible with preamp level and speaker level signals (speaker wire to RCA adapter required when using speaker level inputs)

Q
What is the real output of this amp? A 35w fuse maxed out at 14.4v with an optimistic efficiency rating of 70% (guessing) will be 88.2w.
